Great spot hidden sticker on the back of a strip mall. Barista was very friendly. We got the vanilla latte (for which they make their own syrup) and the dark chocolate mocha, as well as a vegan raspberry doughnut and a butter croissant. Drinks were good- they were flavorful but not too sweet. The croissant was good - flaky and buttery - what you would expect of a plain croissant. The doughnut was really good. This is a great spot to meet for a cup of coffee or get some work done! The only sad thing is the menu had kombucha on tap, however the barista mentioned they no longer serve that since it wasn't very popular. read more

What can I say? Solid Coffee is...solid! This coffee shop oozes with your LA hipster vibes in the suburbs with its modern and clean interior. My occasional pick me up is the Iced Vanilla Bean Latte. The flavor tastes fresher than your typical syrups at chain coffee shops, and the roast of their espresso is perfect. However, I do wish they had a bit wider selection of drinks and pastries. I understand the sentiment of sticking to a small menu but doing it well, but I think they have a bit more room to expand. I was hoping for some sugar free options (even if that compromises taste a bit). They also serve some vegan pastries but seem to run out pretty quickly early in the day, so I have yet to try them. I really do enjoy visiting Solid Coffee and do believe they will you some of the best cup of Joe in the area. They have a solid lineup so far, but I know they have more from where they came from. Solid Coffee makes great coffees and delicious lattes. It is probably up there for one of my favorite coffee spots in the area. The shop is tucked in the corner but the inside is pretty big with plenty of places to sit and hang out. I came in with 3 other people on a Saturday and it was busy but no line. I wanted a latte and they had so many choices I had a hard time deciding. I went with their honey lavender latte with almond milk which turned out to be delicious and perfectly sweeten. My husband got their Americano which he liked. Everyone was pretty happy with their drinks. Milk alternatives they had was almond and oat milk. I also liked that you can add CBD for additional $3 for any drink. There's plenty of options and they even roast their beans in house and can be for purchase. It's worth checking out. read more

I have been coming to Solid Coffee Roasters for a couple years now and they are easily one of my favorites for a solid (see what I did there) cup of coffee. The staff here is always courteous and really takes pride in delivering a quality drink. The location sits in the back corner of a small center near a dry cleaner and can be hard to see from the street but is definitely worth finding. The parking can sometimes get a bit cramped but is usually not too bad and the pricing is right in line with most other neighborhood coffee joints. Our favorite drinks here are easily the iced vanilla bean latte and the iced mochas and both are delicious and I have yet to receive a bad drink. They also offer a few small pastries and eats as well for those who are on the go and looking for a quick bite or snack to enjoy along with their cup of joe. During the pandemic things have been a bit tougher with getting around to some of these places but Solid made a great attempt at garnering additional business for themselves by creating a makeshift drive through in the parking lot they share in the back corner area. Although it had a few issues such as them not having a camera to know when a new car pulled up, it definitely made things a bit easier to grab a cup of coffee without having to park, exit your vehicle, mask up and order and wait. Although this was a short lived experiment they were forced to end it was something I appreciated them trying to make things easier on their customers during a very tough time period. I have probably been here in excess of 30 times and we still hit them up whenever we are nearby as well as their newest location at the Steelcraft in Bellflower which I will review separately at a later time. I really wish them the best of luck and many years of success. For any coffee or latte fans this is a place I would definitely recommend checking out. They also have a points program where you can earn free drinks or bags of coffee pretty quickly as you visit. I look forward to visiting them again very soon read more

to be transparent, this review is only really based on the pandan matcha i had here through uber eats, i haven't physically been to the location! not yet, anyway haha i'm not sure if the matcha used that day was a bad batch or wasn't stored properly, but i've never had a matcha that had an overly-strong umami taste until now - and when i say strong i mean incredibly overpowering :( a shame because i get so excited to try places with pandan. i definitely want to give this place another try since reviews here are pretty glowing, so i'm not going to let that one experience determine my forever-opinion on solid! hope to be back soon to try some of their coffee :3 read more

Great place to study or get work done but has limited electrical outlets. It's not library-quiet as there is music playing and other patrons talking but a majority of patrons here are observed to be working. The two clean bathrooms are much appreciated! They also serve pastries and great seasonal drinks with dairy-alternative creamer options. I was also pleasantly surprised that they serve beer here too! The service was great. The girl at the front was very sweet and welcoming. The coffee tasted delicious. It did take a long time to get my coffee, but it was only one person working. We also got a pistachio croissant. That was all right probably will skip it next time all in all a good coffee shop and will come back to try out more. We saw all the positive reviews and figured that it would be a solid spot for coffee. I think we should have had an indication that something was up when we were waiting in line to order and no one was in front of us and it took a while until they were ready to take our order. I asked for the decaf skim peppermint latte and got a peppermint mocha and the girl was insistent that this was on the menu and we even showed her (see my photo). She didn't bother to change it or apologize nor did I get refund and waiting another 15-20 minutes did not seem worth it. Needless to say I will not be back. read more

Great little neighborhood Coffee shop. It's in a plaza next to a dry cleaners and overseas cargo Intake store. I usually get the oat milk vanilla latte: good coffee and not overly sweet. I noticed that many bigger coffee shops sell mediocre coffee with a lot of syrups to fancy it up. This place has honest coffee -you can ask for syrups and so forth but I prefer my plain cup of Joe with just a splash of flavored syrup. My partner and I ordered a hot lattes and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the coffee. My favorite cozy coffee shop for a few years now. Can't believe it's taken me so long to review. I love coming here for a quiet morning or to get in a few hours of work. Also found solid coffee on social media! Most of my food tour consists of recommendations from social media lol I went in to get a recommendation for cold brew from their selection of beans! The staff was super helpful in assisting me to find the right blend that best fits my flavor profile and palette! though I didn't get a cup of cold brew this time, I would probably be awake if I did, the staff was super friendly and giving me a sample of their cold brew! They also advised me that the brew that they make for the cold brew, they don't sell but is exclusive to their cold brew making at the store! If I were to make any recommendations it would be to have more designated parking, since I really didn't know where to park and that most of the stores in the plaza were designated for the other stores that were there! There was also homeless and digging in a trashcan outside, but that didn't deter me from picking up a bag of beans to make it home and trying out their cold brew read more

UPDATE: still really good coffee but if you want to study here, their wifi is really unreliable. Theres no more 2 hour limit but when I went here to study with a few friends, 2/3 of our wifi didn't connect. It's a cute coffee joint in a devastatingly old plaza where DJ Bibingkahan (across from Taco Bell) used to be. The landlord of this plaza needs to invest in redoing the buildings and parking lot to attract more folks... some of these businesses that have been there for decades. Hopefully these cool new businesses - like Solid Coffee- will help revive this area more. The business itself is located in the very back corner. There is some temporary make shift patio that is a little tacky to the eyes but it does offer a small corner to sit and enjoy an otherwise good cup of coffee. The inside is nicer and offers some spots to sit down and get some work done or enjoy some coffee with friends. We tried the vanilla late and the free house. The latte was solid without being overly sweet. I think I saw a sign that the syrup was house made which is impressive. The house coffee lived up to its name and was solid. It was slightly acidic with sweeter back notes. Served piping hot which I appreciated. The service was great and the two girls working the counter were both knowledgeable and friendly. Prices were fair and competitive. They do have some of their iced lattes in bottles to go by the door. All in all not that bad. It is a cute place to come grab a cup of coffee and get away from the crazy world we live in now. Would recommend coming to check them out. read more
