Our server suggested pepperoni for kids, a sausage & ??? in a white sauce that was so well balanced by the flavors, both delicate & bold. Then, the specialty pizza of the day, prochetta and peaches with dabbles of ricotta! It's was almost decadent with the creamy sweetness and salt. On top of all this, a rotating 21 tap bar of beer selections from all around world along with a deep/wide selection of delicious wines. Tons of free parking. Service was outstanding. The decor is classy yet casual. There's a cute photobooth and play area for the kids. As for food, I was super excited to try their Al Pastor pizza, a Mexican-American take on a pineapple pizza. Unfortunately, by the time I sat for dinner, they were out of most of their menu, including the al pastor. I am NOT docking them for points for running out of things on opening weekend. It's so hectic I'm sure, and it's a lot to have to figure out. They were able to make the pizza with pork belly instead of al pastor though. It was pretty good, but honestly forgettable. I also think that their menu is pretty expensive for their portions and offerings. I know they were running low on items, but the toppings were definitely skimpy. My husband is a pizza person through and through, and even though Marlena is not really positioned as a pizza place, the pizza won him over completely. That says a lot. The ambiance is wonderful and the fact that it's mostly outdoors makes it dog friendly, which is always a bonus for us. The food across the board is just solid and well executed without trying too hard to be anything other than what it is. A really warm, genuinely enjoyable dinner in Long Beach and one we will likely be returning to.

I have been here multiple times now to get different drinks and they are all so good! The service is exceptional, everyone is super friendly and helpful in recommending a drink, especially if you've tried their most popular ones already. New drinks I tried: the dirty soda. Amazing! Its a cold brew that you can see it being processed at the counter. It tastes like birthday cake! The Americano with the single origin beans, I think it's called peachy? It has such a delicious fruity flavor! No sweetener needed. The notes remind me a lot of guava! If you want something more different or floral, the garden is also great! Very jasmine oriented. Lastly the Baguio banana was all amazing! I love that there's a little jackfruit on it. So happy to have a walkable place nearby that does such a good job for the community. such kind service! everyone working here was so lovely and greeted us after we entered on Saturday…read moremorning. they were patient and offered staff favorites from the coffee and matcha beverages. we decided on the reinne-spanner and the blue jasmine matcha. both were hits! the reinne-spanner has a bold espresso flavor, which we really enjoyed. lots of cafes over sweeten their drinks to the point where you don't taste the coffee these days, but reinne's place nailed it and perfectly balanced the flavors in this drink. I personally chose the blue jasmine matcha as a huge fan of jasmine flavors. the drink is matcha-forward, in a very pleasant way, with subtle floral notes from the jasmine. parking is your typical LB-parking situation -- street parking wherever you can find any! we got lucky and found a spot in the adjacent neighborhood street. this cafe is conveniently located next to a filipino bakery, which we also enjoyed with our drinks!
