I was contemplating installing solar system at my house for several months. When one of my friends recommended Ali, I called him up just to enquire and get some eatimates. After my discussion with Ali, I was totally convinced that SolarTech are the right people to go to for installing my solar system. They are very proffessional, detail oriented and well organized. I was happy with their pricing and the quality of their work and also the process. Ali and team got the paper work done real quick and Angelica sent regular updates on the progress of the application. On the day of installation, Kevin and team showed- up on time and finished the installation the same day. Now I have my solar system fully operational. SolarTech team has made this whole process very smooth. It has been an absolute pleasure working with them. With pleasure, I would strongly recommend SolarTech to anyone looking to instal a solar system. read more

Great company. Very punctual and great job done. I will recommend to anyone who need solar for the pool.

First off, I am a retired teacher living on a fixed income. Not easy to do in California. I decided that I was paying too much for energy and wanted to lessen my footprint on the earth. I decided to investigate installing solar. After meeting with a couple of salespeople I decided to go with SolarTech because they appeared to be professional and they had such great reviews on Yelp. 7-17-19 I signed a contract with SolarTech. A site survey was scheduled on 7-29-19 I refinanced my house to pay for this. My monthly payments went up. The contract stated work would begin 10-9-19 Did not show up for the install until 10-31-19 The installers climbed down off my roof and said they could not install solar on my roof. Called the office and left. The saleswoman called and said it was going to cost 7 thousand dollars more than the contract price!! No discount! Didn't "throw me a bone" They claim to do their own roofing. I called the office and asked to speak to the owner. "He's out of town" was what I got. No telephone? So to sum this up. No integrity at SolarTech! Look at the contract. They have the typical Mediation required clause which always includes a gag clause so when the consumer gets screwed he can't make it known. I wonder how many people have been screwed by Avoid SolarTech like the plague! 7-5-19 The owner returned and called me. Much better at damage control than the project manager. Said he wants a chance to make it right. So far I am impressed by him. Time will tell if SolarTech really deserves all those stars on Yelp. I'm really hoping I can edit this review with five stars. The agreement that I done with SolarTech is impressive. The owner is a stand up guy. The crew made a mistake, somehow the estimate and contract did not include the work that needs to be done to my slate tiled roof before the solar panels can be installed. The owner was going to absorb the costs and stand behind the original contract. Unfortunately I refinanced my home to pay for the solar so I can't afford the extra costs. Even though SolarTech agreed to basically eat the cost and lose money I'm going to try to cover about half. It was an honest mistake. "A man is worthy of his labor" read more

Ali Ibrahim was our salesperson and we had a good experience with him and SolarTech. He was extremely personable and we reached a deal for Sunpower panels and a Neovolta battery system with him within an hour. He was helpful throughout the installation and helped insure that a minor problem with the installation was quickly resolved. Our system has been working flawlessly since it was installed and we are relieved to have a battery backup system so that we can keep our power on when SDGE turns off the power in our neighborhood for fire safety. read more

Had Solar and pool heating systems installed, my rep. Pete Baker was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The installation crew were really efficient and fast, left the place very clean. Had Ali come to our house to begin to get educated. Have had 2 companies out for preliminary bids. They only seemed to be interested in getting us to sign. Ali shows up and the difference is night and day. NO pressure just a boatload of information and suggestions. Professional, kind, informative, and extremely knowledgeable. We are just beginning to understand all the options and with his help I feel we can design the right system for our needs. I have been in construction sales for over 40 years and it takes a lot to impress me. If we move forward with our project, I honestly don't feel I would or could move forward without his expertise. Over all everything was excellent. Had a few guys come out and give me a quote. Solar tech had better panels with a more competitive price. Kyle the sales rep was very good at explaining all the ins and outs and answered all my questions. And I ask a lot of questions believe me! Bottom line is you can't beat the 12yr bumber to bumber warranty! Arturo and Robert came out in one day and installed everything. It all looks very professional and clean. When Damian came out for the final walkthrough, We spent an hour going through how everything works and how to operate the system. Very self efficient and easy. This company met my expectations and them some! I've been enjoying my 90 degree pool everyday since! read more

I wanted to add to my previous review on my solar installation with Solar Tech. After having had it up and running for a few months now, I'm so impressed with the performance and of course the $$$ I'm saving on electric bills. Now that the weather is getting better, I generate more electricity than I use. I want to commend Cindy from Solar Tech that came out later to get my system set up on WiFi so I can monitor the system on my smart phone and computer. I also worked with Jason and Grant throughout the process, all excellent, professional and very well informed. Thanks again! read more

Extremely pleased with SolarTech - every time we call for warranty service they are quick to respond and remedy our issue. Today we had a technician named Arturo Diaz who was professional, polite and took extra steps to insure our system was running as efficiently as possible over and above fixing what we called in for. He explained everything he did and the reasons for it; we appreciated him sharing his knowledge. 5 stars for Arturo and SolarTech!!! read more

SolarTech is one of San Diego's top Solar and Roofing Specialist. After interviewing 5 different companies for my project that included a new roof and solar system, there was no doubt who I was going with. David Baca the System Design Specialist which was recommended by a friend, was well prepared before even arriving. He respected my time and had a complete package already to present based on SolarTech's methods of researching a property. I was very impressed with the diagrams he had, that showed the layout on my roof, Mounting System, Estimated Usage and 1 year Production. It was easy to see David knew what he was talking about. Both installations went as planned. I was a little nervous on the roofing, because who knows what they may find under my 28 year old roof. Some area needs to be replaced, but the coast was pretty close to the estimate David gave. Once the roof was done the actual installation of the solar panels was completed in a day. There was a delay in the SD&GE giving permission to go live, but David and the SolarTech management were proactive in resolving the issue. The best part was and still is, is the "mySunPower" monitoring system. Just watching how powerful the solar system sending power back to the grid. Today my system generated 41.9 kWh and my house used 25.6 kWh. THANKS SolarTech! -Jeff C read more

Love how Robert is trying to rewrite history. We didn't find out who the job supervisor/consultant was until the job was almost complete. And, yes. Your guys did break my garage door and leave my front door open. Very hard to deal with a company that is full of liars and irresponsible people. read more

I used SolarTech several years ago to install a relatively large number of solar panels (my own house). Not only did they do a great job with the install, the ongoing customer service and support has been really strong. I've really appreciated their willingness to do what's right for their customers. read more

Great company to work with. We went with Solartech primarily because of their high efficiency panels. They might cost a little more, but they'll pay off in the long run. The amazing warranty is another great selling point, but the icing on the cake was their customer service. They responded quickly to our quote request, (unlike some of their competitors who I still haven't heard back from!) Ryan Bertel was patient enough to answer all of my questions, even ones I sent late in the evening, expecting an answer the next day! He provided great information, and advice, and no pressure. The quotes were exactly to what we agreed upon, and had quick turnaround on some last minute tweaks. Scheduling and installation went very smoothly, the only problem was Mother Nature wasn't cooperating so we were slightly delayed. Not their problem, but everything was well communicated so we knew what to expect. Everything was cleanly installed, and after all the inspections were done, everything came online with no hitches whatsoever. The app that Solartech has is a nice way of keeping an eye on how well the solar panels are working, and kind of a fun way to see how much we're saving as well. I highly recommend Solartech and Ryan Bertel. read more

I did research and had 3 different companies do estimates for my solar. In the end, I chose SolarTech. I had a wonderful experience Ali Ibrahim from SolarTech. He explained everything and provide me the quotes of different numbers of panels to consider. He also tried his best to reply me and addressed my issues asap. The whole process went thorough the Xmas and new year period but it didn't get slow down significantly. The scheduling and installation process was all professional and timely. Workers showed up as scheduled, did all the requested works, and cleaned up work area. roughly one week after installation, Grant from SolarTech and the city inspector came to my house to do the inspection. At the same time, Grant also guided me through the website for monitoring my solar system and answered all the questions I had. Couple days after the inspection, SDGE approves my system and it is up and running since. I have been using it for a month, and there is no issue so far. I am happy with the system and the team. Would highly recommend this business!! read more

A fantastic company from the beginning of getting a quote through installation. They answered all of my questions. The crews doing the work were efficient, cleaned up after themselves, and were very friendly. It was amazing to have 1 company to remove/install the roof, remove and re-install pool solar, install solar, and install a new pool pump. Pricing was competitive but having one company to work with sealed the deal. The installation schedule was given to me and they even pushed it up and finished ahead of time. Highly recommend this company. read more

Great quality product with well-executed installation and professional customer service.

With so many different options for solar companies out there I really did my research and decided to go with solar tech. I was impressed with the representative that came to my house, Ali, who answered every question I had in a way that made me feel comfortable and this is why I ended up going with Solar tech. Ali assured me that everything will go smooth and he was absolutely correct! The crew showed up wearing masks they were polite cleaned up after themselves and did an amazing job! I highly recommend this company to anyone after looking for Solar they are the "real" deal. read more

Purchased solar system through Solar Tech. The people are great, the technicians and the work they do is great. However, I've been waiting weeks for my actual solar panels, and that's after getting delayed two weeks to even start my project. I get the same standard answer each week, your panels are set to arrive next Wednesday and then we can complete the project. I've heard that for 3 weeks in a row now, and I expect that will be the same answer next week. MAKE SURE they have everything needed in stock, or find out when you can really expect to get your project completed. My review can change to the positive but as of right now, I'm beyond frustrated. They have even stopped responding to me or communicating with me. Not a happy customer at the moment. read more

JC from SolarTech was outstanding!! Very knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and professional. Every single question was answered with great explanations for us non solar techies!! Running like a jet engine now.. the app for monitoring my system is great, straightforward and easy to see my savings. We had SunPower in our last house because they are the best panels you can get. Having a less than desirable experience with longer term customer service with the last installer we searched for new company to work with. We interviewed many, and was very glad we settled on SolarTech. Mark Albano, our sales rep was able to walk us through everything and answer all our questions. If there was something he couldn't answer he had the owner call us directly and walk through our concerns/questions. We built a new home and oversized our system given we knew we would likely add an electric car and power walls. They were great working with us as we had basically a year long install from hardwiring getting everything in the walls during drywall, then having to come back for panels several months later, and finally coming out several months later to actually turn the system on and pass final inspection once we moved in. They were patient and accommodating through this process. In addition we put on pool solar for our large pool that sits really close to the ocean and gets a lot of wind. Greg Chase, the solar manager came out to our project personally on install day to walk through the layout with the team and help us maximize the benefit we could ultimately receive from that system. He has gone above and beyond as we continue to learn our system FaceTiming on weekends and sending out crews immediately to make tweaks to improve functionality after deemed appropriate when the system had been up and running for a while. Obviously a newer client but having been working with them ongoing for 2 years now just getting things set up, our experience has been excellent and I hope it continues to be. I assume we will be using them to install battery walls soon! I highly recommend the Solartech team for all your solar needs. read more

We just installed solar panels on our roof through SolarTech and we are very happy with the outcome. Mark Albano was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and answered every question that we asked. Ali with solar tech was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He came to our home and accommodated to our schedule. He kept in contact with us throughout the process and handled everything he could with our HOA which made it so much easier on us. After several years of debating solar power amid rising costs for electricity- it was time to take the leap! After meeting with several companies I finally met with Laura from SolarTech. She is knowledgeable, informative, honest and very accessible. Anytime I thought of another question I would send out an email and had an answer in minutes- am even on the weekend! There was no one else I met with that was as clear and honest about what my needs are, time frame and cost out the door. After I selected them they wasted no time. I had every contact info for anyone involved and things went exceptionally smoothly. I wish everything else I have done went so well! They are a great organization and I would highly recommend this company. I would not hesitate to say that they are the best in San Diego. I had some crazy upsells from other companies and Laura explained why it wasn't necessary to add that kind of extra cost. It was a wonderful experience. read more
