Don't know if they are closed down now or what but they don't answer the phone or return phone calls. They installed my system in 2014 and it worked great but now it has stopped providing power. If anyone has any information on them please post it here. I even called Solaredge as that is the system installed but they said they are only the "manafacturer" and do not provide any warrantee on their products. Don't recommend them. read more

Yelp Consumer Affairs Solar Solutions Executive Office JULY 14, 2022 A trusted friend excitedly told us about getting a solar system installed. She told us about the wonderful reasons for getting solar. She gave us a card for José Montano, Energy Consultant, for SOLAR SOLUTIONS. The salesman she worked with. JULY 19, 2022 José came and we signed everything. We were really looking forward to all the savings and future benefits, increasing the value of our home, etc.. When asked how soon we would have installation, José said "normally everything would be done by August, BUT a SHORT DELAY might happen because of SUPPLY ISSUES" Admittedly, I did stop getting the miriad of emails, since Solar Solutions did mosty contact my husband by phone, it seemed prudent to keep things simple. HOWEVER, please note I am on all of the paperwork: Name, address, email, phone #. Every time we discussed the progress of our install, my husband would say he got a call or email saying everything from "Soon" to blaming the electric company, our HOA, the manufacturer ..... In the meantime, our friend who referred us was incenced about this. Hers was so easy and quick. Her daughter was experiencing some delay, but got promised it would happen very soon. BTW, she was promised $500 for referrals. One day, Suddenly I looked out of my kitchen window to see men climbing to my roof with solar panels! Just as suddenly, they STOPPED coming. Communication became less often, and by MARCH 14, 2023, yes, EIGHT MONTHS later we were being told there was a piece of the original kit broken and it was very difficult to get from the manufacturer. I'll spare you the complete play by play a bit ... But I did send emails, copying several persons at Solar Solutions - hence, they DID have my email! I did say I was ready for them come and get the useless panels off of my roof, replace the tiles they left in the yard ... AND bring a signed legal document stating they were responsible for my roof for 10 years. Since they were the only persons ever up there and responsible for replacing the tiles THEY removed & replaced, I wanted to make sure ... The reply blamed everything on somebody else. It was beyond their control. My husband was then contacted and told something about progress... I really don't remember what - In May of 2023 my husband was hospitalized and underwent major surgery. When I tried to find out ANYTHING - they blamed my husband!!!!! According to them they had been trying to contact him, but he didn't respond. He was in the hospital and trying to recuperate from major spinal surgery. He wasn't sitting at his desk. When they still insisted it was his fault about the lack communication I asked why I wasn't contacted, they said they didn't have my information!!!!! I did ask why they didn't try putting a stamp on a letter, sending a FedEx requiring signature ... Why didn't the salesman who got the commission just drive here? ..... We're now up to a man named Carl phoning me, all sweetness and so salesmanish, however he wasn't even aware of any email from me ever - he was so sorry no one thought to use other means of communication (letter, visit, etc) and he would check into everything. When I told Carl that my friend never got the check she was promised for referrals nor did her daughter get the $1000 she was promised FOR ALL OF HER INCONVENIENCE and the long wait for her installation he was going to have to check into that. BOTH MY FRIEND AND HER DAUGHTER RECEIVED THEIR CHECKS AFTER THEY PUT A COMPLAINT REVIEW ON YELP!!! We weren't ever offered a coffee cup or keychain let alone a monetary apology. Very dissatisfied!!!. Evidently they lost communication with my address...back in 11/2019. I bought this house on 03/2022. Called solar Solutions AZ talked with Karl to provide company with information that I bought this house and request them to document. I talked with Eddie several times regarding the need to remove/replace solar panels for new roof. Sent me estimate for ny insurance company. Ultimately my insurance company paid them $8000.00 for this service final payment of $4000.00 was 12/24. Finally lost all solar production on final visit (one of several) because last communication from my address to solar solutions AZ was 11/2019 Why is it that they took $8000.00 from my insurance company when they did not service my address. I still do not have a working solar system. I'm still paying on a loan to Mosiac for the installation from solar solutions AZ. So far, if I could leave 0 stars, I would. I was visited by Eddie Martinez on June 30th, a Sunday, at which time he provided a quote for an automatic, retractable awning for our patio. Eddie was very polite, seemed knowledgeable and the price was reasonable. He followed-up by email, a day-or-so later, with an offer of free LED lighting in an effort to get me to commit. On 8/14, I emailed to accept his offer and i paid a $4,400 deposit for the materials via their online portal. Having heard nothing from him for nearly a month, I began calling, texting and emailing on September 12th, to get a status report but had no success reaching him. He did finally call back telling me he was ""taking a personal day"" and would call the manufacturer the next morning and let me know. He stated "If I don't have the awning installed by the end of the month your money will be refunded". That was the last I''d heard from him. I've tried calling and texting since, ratcheting up my threats until today, on which I'll copy this post on as many online forums as I can find. Next I will file complaints and claims with the AZ Registrar of Contractors and the Better Business Bureau. this review is a little late, my Solar company, "solar solution" , put my my panels on my house a few years ago and they have worked awesomely. but in December, I had to get a different roof. (What a pain, ) but that has nothing to do with Solar except that my solar panels - all 10 of them had to be removed. They were off of my roof for 2 months while I was waiting for my roof to be improved. but when the time came, Eddie sent over people to put the solar panels back up on my nice new roof. They actually look so much better - their placement , than they did the first time they were up there, (but I think they had to do with there was a different material on the roof now than the first time) . I've had 2 electric bills since the panels went back up , they are back down to affordable rates. God bless you guys over it Solar solution. Sharing my experience with Solar Solutions AZ we have a completed Solar system and are very happy with the system as installed, but it was a long and frustrating journey. I signed a contract with Solar Solutions AZ on 06/02/2022, It took over 9 months (271 days) to be up and running and over 11 months (349 days) for project completion versus the 60-90 days I was initially led to believe, throughout the initial delays I was assured we'd be up and running by the end of 2022. The 1st 3.5 months were because of my utility company, even during this time I had to micromanage and initiate all conversations and remediations with the utility company, something I would have expected SSAZ project management to do. Once the utility company was done with their part, there were months of no return communications, mis information, missed installation dates, delayed inspections due to SSAZ not knowing municipality holiday schedule, equipment not ordered in time (despite having the bulk of my money in ample time), failed municipality inspections due to incorrectly installed components (per the *approved* plans), failed utility company inspections due to components not properly located (again per the *approved* plans). The trades people seem very good at what they do, and the installed products are top notch. The customer communication, project management, customer care however were horrible. I have yet to this point had any communications from any upper-level management which I would have expected with the missteps in this project, nor have I been contacted to "train" me on how to use the system/app, etc... I've learned all this via online blogs, YouTube, and direct contact with Enphase (equipment provider) themselves. This has *literally* been the worst home improvement project I have contracted in 35 years of owning homes. I have been dealing with this company for a year now it's been a pain since the beginning, the sales rep Jose montano doesn't respond to messages and also when installation finally started happening communication was horrible date of arrival whenever honored, always chasing them around. They even started charging me before the panels were even installed. That's how long it took. Now the struggle is for them to honor the $1200 agreed-upon on our contract. Stay away from them. Do your research look for a better company avoid the headaches! I think the most annoying thing is for them to not give you a straight answer. This is a bit premature for a review, but so far we've been happy with the communication from SSAZ. We haven't had the system installed yet, but so far it's been good. They were helpful in going through the different types of panels and inverters. I asked a lot of questions and was always appreciative of their detailed responses. Their prices were good, and I didn't feel any up sell pressure. They never tried to talk me into buying more expensive panels or a battery storage system I didn't want. Deeply Disappointed Solar work was started, men left property in terrible condition. Cigarette butts, empty gatorade cans, 100+ little plastic bags, many cardboard pieces, tons of electrical wire (different colors), general disrespect of property and of the customer. I don't think that the company understands who the customer really is. I asked what about the Purchase Agreement and they pretty much gave me the finger and said sucks to suck, but we can offer you the same services but with you paying more and less years on the warranty. I don't know what is going on with these guys but they never return calls, don't seem to know how to get a project approved without messing things up, then they lie about it and provide different information than what the utility and city told us. The system they installed failed within a month of being turned on. They guaranteed that they would monitor it but i had to call them 2 months later when i noticed the electric bill still had not changed (they said it was because of TEP's billing cycle) after weeks of waiting for them to get someone out to even look at the thing i was told it would take another 2 or 3 weeks to get it replaced........ 2.5 weeks later and the guy who showed up to install it had no idea what he was doing... couldn't even answer basic solar questions. I have 2 friends with solar from this company and after speaking to them this is the service they have now gotten in the last six months (since i signed to get my system) One of my friends said that they heard they fired anyone that had any actual experience all at once ...I would strongly advise anyone who is considering going with ANY OTHER company these guys won't be around long and will leave massive holes in your wall behind your converter read more

Started out great. Purchased a system from them at a great price that was supposed to provide 120% of my electricity. It did sometimes. Was also told that if I ever sold my house, the loan and system was fully transferable. I specifically wanted and verified that. Trying to communicate with them afterwards was like pulling teeth. They rarely respond to messages on their own website built specifically for that. 3 years later after only supplying about 90% of power for my house, I finally got them to check it out. They said they didn't supply enough panels for what their contract said: 120%. They did show up and add a few more panels. But no word at at for reimbursing me for the 3 years of not providing the power that was contracted. 1 year later decided to sell my house. All of a sudden the company they used for the loan said the loan was not transferable. They refused to really help me rectify this or help with it. When I was finally able to sell the house, I lost out on $15,000 because I ended up having to throw in the system for free.. I highly recommend buying a system, not leasing. They incorrectly installed my solar panels per the submitted plan. Be careful, as they tell you that you are getting "high efficiency premium" panels for the price. What they actually installed were cheap, inefficient panels versus my neighbor who paid about the same, and got top-of-the line efficient panels by the same manufacturer! This has been the most awful customer service experience I've ever had. It first began with a 4 month delay. For a job that bascially required about 4 days to complete, that tells me they're either horrible project planners or intentionally over promise to make the sale and then do a bait and switch when it comes time to do the install. Secondly, mid January they advised they forgot to include the battery install in permit/drawing requests and that it would take about a month to get it approved and installed. 2 months later I still have no battery and they have been non-responsive on my multiple requests (phone, vmail, email) for an update. Additionally, on one occasion I was semi-pressured that even though the job wasn't completed, I needed to release the full funds from the bank that I financed with. Then, a second time it occurred again. Now, I received a bill from my bank for the full payment amount even though full funds haven't been released, my job isn't complete, and no one has shown me how to monitor the power output via my app. read more

The install went without a hitch, the install team was very professional and nice, they took the time to explain what they were doing that day. Do not believe anything this company tells you! Our solar project has been completed for two months and there has been absolutely NO follow-up from Solar Solutions. That is not the reason for the one star rating.....the way we were treated as customers is. We obtained 4 bids and did much research before deciding on Solar Solutions. We liked our rep Sal and he assured us that he would be with us EVERY step of the way, we could call him anytime. We chose our panels and signed our contract in May of 2022, paid our first instalment, and shortly after that we had an employee from SS come an inspect our property for the project. So far so good, in July we paid the second, rather large cash installment and that is when things started to go south. We got a message, which I saved, stating that after the electrical upgrade, we were looking at an August 2022 installation date. Then we heard NOTHING for weeks! Emails, voicemails, text messages, went unanswered. Finally, received an email explaining that TEP was behind, and we needed a "power kill" so that was the hold-up. In October we got the electrical upgrade complete. Then again, we heard NOTHING for 2 months. Again, ALL correspondence went unanswered. Since we paid cash, there were a lot of sleepless nights, wondering if our money was gone. Finally, heard from Sal, "they have been busy," "solar is in demand" blah blah blah, they will get to us. Not once did the owners or GM call or email us. We had a December 23, 2022 installation date, and then, the day before, Sal called, they didn't have the panels we chose however, they could still do installation, with a less efficient panel. We felt like a 'bait and switch" had happened. We decided to wait for our panels, which meant...no 2022 tax credit and since we paid cash, no interest earned on our money all this time since they had it! Finally in March, we were informed that our panel wouldn't be "available". We were exhausted from all the lack of communication and professionalism from this company, so we agreed to go with a different panel. Our panels were installed in April, the installation crew were the only bright spot in this whole process. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. After installation, we were requested to pay the final payment, Jose, the finance manager, asked that it please be "prompt"! We paid it, then we found out through TEP, our application for solar had expired! (Hardly seems ethical because our panels were installed) The application had to be resubmitted, which set us back about another month and of course zero compensation. We didn't even get the referral credit of $1000, which Sal used as a sales tactic, then said our referral individuals didn't call him after he left a message, also said we needed one more referral than was stated during the "sales pitch". When questioned he was quite rude about it. We reached out to the finance manager who said he would check with Sal, to date, no response. We felt it necessary to include all this information in our review so that others can make informed decisions about the solar company they choose. We cannot recommend Solar Solutions! Mixed results with service follow-thru, but overall very satisfied. We have dealt with Solar Solution twice over the last few years, the first time (Mar 2017) for the initial system and the 2nd time (Feb 2019) to add on more panels. Unfortunately our first rep underestimated how many panels we needed, so we had to go back and add on 9 more panels later to obtain the results we had anticipated. I will say each time they were very pleasant, easy to deal with, and their prices seemed reasonable overall. Our first experience was fairly timely without many issues other than an initial failed TEP inspection that was quickly rectified. The second time we found the company to be much more sluggish on taking care of business and it was frustrating having to wait significantly longer for follow-thru to get all of the work completed. Eventually everything was completed satisfactorily, we are happy with our system, & are now seeing the results we expected. We would have loved to have had this done right the first time, not had to deal with financing twice, & not go through all of the hassle twice. read more

My wife and I purchased a photo-voltaic system from Solar Solutions the last part of September 2018. After all the permits were approved, it was up and running the last part of February 2019. All the people I worked with at Solar Solutions were friendly and responsive. I think the guys who installed the system did a good job. I could tell they were experienced and took pride in their work. The system has been in service a little over a month. On sunny days it is putting out 52 KWH for the day, 7600 watts per hour mid-day. Our system is making more power than we use right now, so we are building up a credit balance with TEP. I think the system will come close to producing all the power we need during the hottest months of the year. Last year that was 1500 KWH per month. So far so good. I would use them again. On March 10, 2017 my wife and I signed a contract with Solar Solution AZ to install a solar electric system on our home. A few weeks later we were contacted by a representative of the company letting us know that we needed a new roof. We signed a change order on April 17 with Solar Solution AZ agreeing to the additional cost of having the roof replaced. After several months of delays and excuses, the subcontracted roofing company showed up unannounced at 6:00 am on Monday, July 10th and began the removal of half of the existing roof. On Friday, July 14, the roofers shingled the roof and informed me that they were unable to complete the job because the roof vent that I had specified (in April) had to be special ordered and would not come in until sometime the following week. On the evening of Saturday, July 15th, we had a birthday party at the house for our son and it began to storm. We noticed water dripping from a light fixture in our kitchen, water staining on the ceiling in the living room, and a water stain on the garage ceiling. I immediately called our point of contact and Project Manager, Joe Stephani with Solar Solution AZ, to let him know that the roof which his company had subcontracted to be installed, was leaking. He proceeded to complain that I was calling him on his personal phone (which is the only contact number I was given for him) at 10:30 PM on a Saturday and that there was nothing that he could do. He told me that I should call the owners who were in Florida but would not give me their phone number. As of today, Sunday, July 23; 13 days after the roof of our home was removed, we still have an incomplete roof. We have endured some of the wettest weather that Tucson has seen in years and neither Solar Solution AZ nor the roofing contractor have shown any urgency or concern in completing the job and protecting our home. During a particularly hard downpour today, I went outside to see that much of the felt paper covering the exposed peak of our roof is laying in a pile. Their only concern and reason for contacting me has been getting paid for a job that they have not completed. We are extremely frustrated and angry that a company would have such disregard for their customers; a company who, "prides themselves on their number of satisfied customers" and only advertises through word of mouth referrals. We are cautioning their potential customers, to avoid doing business with Solar Solution AZ and would urge all of you to share our story to help others avoid the experience that we have had. The representatives of Solar Solution AZ have made it abundantly clear that they are only concerned with profits, not the satisfaction of their customers. Much of what was stated to us during the sales presentation and document signing was false or misleading! We were made multiple promises that have not been met. The system is not producing sufficient energy to alleviate our dependence on tep and we will now be paying more for our over all electric then we were we were before getting solar. We purchased solar as a cost saving method based on what we were presented. It was a financial decision, not a "save the trees" decision. We were mislead(nice word for lied to)! We also were told we would get 30% of the full price back when we did our taxes and that we could use that money to "pay down" the loan before it re-amortized. It would have been nice to have been told that you only get credit and not actual refund and if you don't owe taxes when filing you won't ever get the 30% that was promised! Every phone call to our salesperson has been worthless as he claims we are getting what we signed for. This has not been a pleasent experience! My neighbors who I recommended after we signed our paperwork and now have their own system are also not seeing the savings promised and are very unhappy also! read more

Solar Solution AZ is a small family owned operation which can have its benefits and downfalls. Majority of the staff is quick to respond emails compared to others. As for the work that was provided for installation and Angela providing each of the steps that would follow they exceeded. I'm not sure where to even begin. If I had to do this all over again I would have went with Solar City. We made the wonderful decision to go solar back in January 2018 it's now June 2018 and I have a 38,000 dollar system on my roof that is non functional. Solar Solutions lack communication on all ends, so the entire process is a guessing game. You'll sign paperwork and then they fill in gaps later to stuff you never agreed to on the contract, like payment draws and amounts. You won't here from anyone for weeks and then you'll get a phone call asking for money. They want to be paid in full (if your a cash paying customer) before the job is complete. Solar solutions feels like once they place the system on your home that means, it's complete and they don't want to work with TEP to get it running. After the thousands of dollars I paid in cash to them, I found myself on the phone and on hold multiple times with TEP doing there job and their answer is " We don't have time to be on hold with the metering department" actually you should have time and that's what your getting the big bucks for. One of the bigger blows is when my husband got a call and the guy said "we dropped the ball", "you needed a new roof before you put the panels on" that call was made after half the panels were on my roof so we're not even sure how that's going to turn out in the end. That's something you shouldn't "drop a ball on" getting an entire new roof is serious and would have added exponentially more to the overall cost of everything. My wife and I were really wanting to put a 5 star for this company, but they did such a poor job at doing their job. The one star is only for Jose. He is the only reason for it not being a zero star. (if that was even possible). Things that went wrong: 1. No one ever communicated when we would expect people on our roof, we would wake up in the morning and there would be people on our roof. 2. They initially attempted to install our solar panels on our neighbors roof. 3. When they finally got the house right, they installed our panels on the wrong side of roof. 4. They never realized it was wrong, I had to ask why my other neighbor down the street, who has the same roof as us and all the panels were placed on the opposite side 5. The inspection through Trico Electric wasn't passed and they continued to put the solar panels on our roof ahead of time. 6. When I was told the panel would be switched to the correct side, there was no communication to when this would happen and when I would receive my new plans for the solar panels. 7. Once the solar panels were installed on the correct side, one panel was underproducing and I was never kept in the loop with what the issue was and what would be done to fix it. 8. I had to go out of my way to contact people in solar solutions to figure out when things would get done and when we can expect people on our roof. 9. Finally the solar panels are on the correct side and producing what they should produce... after 3 months of poor communication and various mistakes. 10. I just received my third set of new plans after about 2-3 weeks of waiting for them.. and yet again they are wrong. So whomever is reading this review please take into consideration all of these examples of how poorly the experience was with solar solutions. We are BIG on reviews and unfortunately the reviews on here did not reflect our experience. Later we realized that if you refer 2 people to the company AND write a good review you get a $ amount incentive. This makes a lot of sense on how they have such great reviews. I spent time with the salesman and sales manager and asked a lot of questions, which they answered. However, they made representations about the system for my home and when the installer came to survey it, he took one look and said a system couldn't be installed. Since it was near the end of the year, we lost the chance to get a tax credit on another energy saving option. Additionally, before the installer came we were approved through the preferred company's financing, but when we switched to financing through our local credit union, the price dropped by $2000, which made me wonder if Solar Solutions is making more money off the financing than the product. This might explain the salesman not understanding the installation challenges for himself. Next time I would go with a company whose sales reps really understand the technology fully and can make a general assessment of the limits a given property poses.
