Our picture of our food. And all the little salsa they had to offer.

It's a fast food Mexican place so there is hardly any wait.. you seat yourself.. it was our first time. My husband and I ordered the same thing. Carne asada burrito which came with chipotle cream sauce, carne Asada, and pico. Also beans and we asked for no rice. We both had rice on the side with beans. The burrito was nice and big. The rice was really good. And the beans were mediocre. The burrito was good, except the only bad thing I would say it was a little too greasy, and when you bit into it, all the greasy juice came out. I'm not sure if we would go back maybe, to try something different.

Great little Mexican spot that doesn't disappoint. Visited again (probably 5th time or more) last night with friends. The staff never fails to make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in! Service is spot on. I'm sort of stuck on the creamy seafood with mushroom plate. Worth all the calories. This time we shared a desert - the Carlotta de limon which was delicious. Details in pic below! We also tried the Guava Pineapple drink which was light and perfect for a hot summer day!

I was looking for a quick lunch spot on my way out of the valley to golf in Gold Canyon and saw this place on Yelp with the great reviews. Authentic Mexican food sounded perfect and I knew good things were in store when I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday and all of inside and outside tables were full. The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

Chicken tacos so delicious, it will make all other chicken tacos seem inferior. Crunchy, fresh, and full of flavor.

OUTSTANDING!!! We usually get their enchiladas trio plate but today we felt like trying their tacos and Azteca burrito and it was the best food we've ever had. The meat had such good flavor, the lettuce and tomatoes were crisp and fresh and the salsa bar is always delicious. Equally amazing was how clean the entire place was, one lady was cleaning the windows - they were spotless and the floor was shiny and clean. Even the legs of the tables didn't have dust or a spec of anything in them. It just makes you feel good about eating there. The service is fast, friendly and very welcoming. We highly, highly recommend a visit here, you will not be disappointed with anything you get from the menu!

Order counter, Continual flow of patrons. Even the patio tables were full.

12/12/25 Parking 2/5 Holy Cow get me a tow truck Becky the lot is always packed! Atmosphere 4/5 Small inside dining area tightly arranged. Nothing fancy but comfortable. It totters between a fast food restaurant and full authentic Mexican food cusine. Service 5/5 Order Counter with table delivery. Susana assisted with our order and was friendly. Food 5/5 The food is the business and their authentic recipes are the real deal. Amazing everything! Far better than any fast food Mexican restaurant and rivals many Mexican big name eateries. Their salsa varieties are nice and I was pleasantly surprised at the fire coming from their Habanero sauce. Great flavor and perfect paring with their Carne Asada. It also works nicely as Habanero shooters . Dare you! We enjoyed a beans and rice dish and their Carne Asada burrito; both great flavor and offered another to go. We also ordered flan to share for dessert. Delicious, rich and perfect texture. Amazing for a quick meal Resturant. From Taco's to sizzling Fajitas Aztecs has it covered authentically! Get your flavor on my Friends-SYOY!

Carnitas, Shredded Beef and Tinga street tacos

Found this place through Yelp at 4.8 stars and it was definitely worth it. Not much ambience, just great food. Well worth the trip and definitely will come back here again. Carnitas were moist, but crispy shredded beef taco was pretty good. They also had chicken Tinga, which is fairly rare and that was also pretty good. The chips were light thin and weren't very great, but when you consider everything else, who cares?

CHILES RELLENOS, cheese enchilada, double beans and a fried egg
    Amber A.

If you are in the mood for some good flavor and authentic Mexican...visit Sol Azteca. Food was really good. I got a chili relleno, cheese enchilada, double beans and added a fried egg on top. I also got Christmas sauce (red and green). I got the Lunch special and it around 14 dollars. Service was really good. Only gripe was the beverages machines, all the drinks were watered down and the horchata was thick and super sweet. Had to toss it. Otherwise, food is on point.

    Asada Nachos - delicious!

My wife and I came - was on our list of places to try. I'd say "we will be back", but we've already been twice this week! Loves it! Not a huge place - I can see how it can get busy. Order at the counter, and they'll bring out to you. I saw a lot of things I want to try, but started with the nachos, pictured. Also had the asada fajitas the next day. Their meat is near perfect. Nice cuts, tender and not dry at all. Definitely a fan. Enjoyed both the nachos and the fajitas. Good serving sizes. Also, loved the staff! They were super friendly and welcoming. They offered to take my empty plate as I was about to. They also bud farewell to guests as they left. Felt like a really warm family place. Well lit, fun decor, clean. Very enjoyable - will be back!

Carne asada street tacos. Salsas were great!

My regular go-to in this area was closed so I found this well-rated spot and despite it being around 2 pm on a weekday it was quite busy. Always a good sign! It's a counter-serve spot but plenty of tables inside and out and a pretty extensive menu. I got tacos and randomly ordered a tamale to go for later to try it. I think they wanted the tamale fresh as they didn't seem to start making it until I was done with my food. I ended up regretting ordering it as I just wanted to be on my way post-tacos but was waiting around for this impulse tamale. I enjoyed the carne asada street tacos for the most part but found the corn tortillas on the thick side. It looked like most people had burritos around so I would try those next. Salsa bar had really good salsas! The tamale was fine but I found the red sauce on it pretty heavy and sweet. Not for me but just a matter of preference. Staff was nice and restaurant seemed very clean.

She also ordered off the Crabby Hour menu some scallops on the half shell and some roasted brussels sprouts. This place knows how to roast spouts so that they are tender and toasted and not overdone. So yummy! The scallops are served with a light ponzu sauce drizzled over which complimented the tender scallops. Delicious! From the Restaurant Week menu, I chose the crab & Artichoke dip which we love and it isn't typically on their menu. It was so good and I had to ask for some extra toast points because there was so much dip! I also got the stripped bass, which was cooked to perfection although a smaller portion than the one you get from the regular menu. They do bass right! And for dessert, chose the Pumpkin Pot de Creme, which was my first taste of pumpkin for the season. Creamy and so good although I took off most of the whip cream because it was a lot. I stopped here and had no idea what to do, lol. There is a QR code to order from your phone so I proceeded with that method while in the drive-thru. I find it funny that they have posted statements about their method of service noting that they don't mean to be rude. Possibly first-timers too ‍ I ordered the Chicken Greek Salad. This is my favorite meal of all time. It's the one thing I can eat over and over. Yes, I will miss that creamy feta Greek dressing from Salad & Go but their traditional Greek dressing here is also amazing. What was the best part was the grilled chicken!! It was perfect! The entire salad was fresh and the perfect size! I hate when establishments push huge portions and want you to pay astronomical prices. People don't need to eat that much and it's such a waste of food and money. I got this salad all under $6 with taxes and all. That's the way it should be- a perfectly size healthy fresh meal and on the go!! The part that made me especially happy is the packaging! The salad comes in an environmentally friendly container; just the plastic lid and I'm sure they chose that for aesthetic purposes so that you can see it immediately. Even though we weren't the only one's waiting as there was plenty others waiting outside for their meals too, it took them like 20 mins to get our food ready so we can leave. While it was still warm and flavorful, it was not good with how long it took to get our food. I understand that it is hard when you're low on staff or can only make so much at once. But it's not good to lie to customers like that when their meals should be ready. In the end, good but needs to be improved with the flow and making process.

We probably needed more drinks because nearly all our food was extremely salty. The calamari appetizer was salty and it overwhelmed any other flavor. Our main dishes came out just after the appetizer was put on the table. The waitress apologized but still put the food down so we felt rushed. The pasta that came on the chicken parm had a very strange flavor in the sauce and I couldn't stand more than one bite. The atmosphere was nice. They could have chosen better music, but that's a personal thing I guess. The restaurant was clean. All and all I told my wife we should have gone to Olive Garden or Sal's Gilbert Pizza. At least we would have had better food and saved some $'s.
