So the decor is great with the exposed brewery machines. The railing came off on the stairwell when we were there. Wed requested a specific type of table for reservations and it didn't get through but the wait staff was so fabulous about the whole thing. The portions are HUGE so I recommend the small plates because honestly that's the normal size of a dish especially if you do a starter. The cheese board was great but the red peppers obviously came out of a jar (or they were doused in oil) but everything else was great. The food was good and the drinks strong. I'd go back again some time. read more

I went to Social Still for my first time yesterday. I grew up and Bangor and visited the winery numerous times with my parents over the years. When I heard Adam was opening his own restaurant I knew it had to be great. I ordered a mojito. It was really good. For dinner I just ordered the crab Mac and cheese. I wish it was a full sized dinner! The staff was so nice, very friendly. If you're in the area stop by Social Still. You will not be disappointed! read more

A group of friends and I tried the place expecting a great experience based on the reviews we had read. Turned out to be a disappointing experience. The food was great but portions sizes are small. We ended up leaving hungry. Mixed drinks were not impressive at all and very expensive. In fact, we were charged for the drinks after kindly asking to have them taken off our bill because they were not to our liking. The server was irritated, management/owner was rude in addressing our concerns and did nothing to accommodate our needs. Service was not great, took a long time to get our food, drinks and bill. I would not recommend this place. We won't be returning. read more

Drinks were great! Very very poor service and not the fault of the waiter. Kitchen was under staffed. Waited for 1 hr and 45 min for appetizers! My husband complained to the owner and his response was its January, I did not expect this in January! What idiot says that! read more

Drinks were amazing. We enjoyed the flat bread pizza and a burger. Both were fabulous. Great service. Awesome atmosphere. Will go back.

The bar service was super slow and not very sure of itself. It seemed like each staff member was on a different page. Also the prices weren't displayed for drinks which was deceptive when I waited twenty minutes to close my two drink tab that was 20 dollars. Not as big of a selection as I had anticipated for how the place was hyped up read more

Spirits are average, think house well type stuff. Great menus the spirits just can't deliver. Food menu is also diverse with plenty of choices. The new menu is ambitious but the execution isn't there yet, calamari was excellent but the crab hush puppies were burnt and the fries were soggy... what gives? They're all fried? Did they cheap out on Fryers? Great building, atmosphere... service was excellent . However... the owner dude is obnoxious and it's hard to relax with him yelling at everybody! Relax dude. read more

amazing drinks and atmosphere! love the decor and lighting and the appetizers were quite delish

Currently at this establishment. Its a well lit room, well lit by like relaxing and welcoming. Sitting at the bar.. Bar is solid, clean, and up to date. They have a couple local craft beers on tap (4). Their drink menu is very well put together the drinks seem to all work. I had a old fashioned and it was perfect. Sweetness and the bitterness worked perfect. Didn't have any food but the complimentary pop corn was a good touch. Staff is friendly and attentive. Old school bank feel with a hip update. I can summarize it up in 3 words. "I dig it". I'll be back. read more

Wonderful service but, the food was not very good. The steak was chewy and the vegetables were a bit sweet

How could you not love this place! I love that there is now outdoor seating, I haven't been able to use it yet (it was kinda cold when it was first set up). Not to mention all there drinks, jalapeno heist is my favorite, it is a MUST drink. If there is alcohol that you want to purchase, great news, you can buy it right there after your meal! I now refuse to drink any other vodka except theirs. read more

I have been to social still a few times just for cocktails, but every time I have been I see and smell the food and wanted to try it so bad. My friend and I stopped in around 630pm on a Saturday, unfortunately for us it was packed and we were on our way out because we didn't make a reservation. The kind hostess chased us down in the parking lot because they had a cancellation. We were seated on the upper seating area over looking the floor of the restaurant. We opted for wine from Franklin Hills. They have their own cocktails with spirits made in house, however I was driving and my friend had to work in the am so we stuck with the wine. We both ordered burgers. I had the Jammin' Pepper Burger that comes with fries and I requested something for a side to dip them in. They gave me chipotle Aioli and YUM. The burger was perfect and juicy, the fries just right. I inhaled my food and finished everything. Overall my tab with top was 32 dollars. My friend and I are both looking forward to going back and I will definitely go back to social still again. Another bonus was the owner walked around assisting his staff run food etc. Its important to see that presence and see them taking pride in their business. Note: the usual parking lot is under construction so you have to park on the other side but I love that it has actual parking vs some other spots. Would make a great date night spot! read more

On a Saturday night with an 8:30 reservation, our party of 10 women was seated in an upstairs alcove overlooking the bar which was perfect for a large and talkative group. The food was very good, though my duck breast was a bit on the tough side. Others thought the Mac n cheese was amazing and the different tacos and burgers also got high marks. We got there early and sat in the bar before being seated at our table. We all ordered drinks, the bartenders were great, personable, and put up some great concoctions off their special drinks menu. Very cool venue with great atmosphere. The wait staff for our table was young and probably not a lot of experience, but very pleasant and they did a great job with a large group. So why the 2? Our group was in town for a hockey tournament and Musikfest. We were also having a birthday celebration for one of our players. We ranged in age from 24-59. We were noisy but not raucous. We were finishing up our entrees and one of our party ordered a second drink; she'd had one at the bar and nothing during dinner. The manager came up and told us we were "cut off." He indicated the staff was concerned. He went on to say that he was responsible for our getting home safely (we were walking 3 blocks to our hotel, as we explained) and that we were too noisy. There was no one up in the alcove with us and we were above the bar. Needless to say, we found this quite insulting and condescending. If he was concerned about our noise level he could have taken one of us aside and asked us to be a little quieter and we would have gladly complied. We know we are talkative bunch. In the end the manager said the venue was a tasting room and didn't have a liquor license so we were limited to 2 drinks. This seemed highly implausible and, regardless, we were not told of this policy before we sat down. Some of us had had no alcohol, others had had two drinks and dinner. We paid quickly, did not leave a tip -- we are all generous tippers -- and encouraged the manager to make it up to his staff. So rather than remembering a great time with a desire to return next year, we left feeling insulted by a manager with poor customer service skills and a rude attitude. I know that is not the fault of the staff and they lost over $60 in tips, but there are very few ways to express how embarrassing and insulting his treatment was. I would not recommend this venue for large groups or anyone who plans to laugh and talk too much ( i.e. have a good time). read more

Love the atmosphere (acoustics are a bit loud, but it's a former bank, so it echoes ) and the drinks are so good! Great staff and it's not far from my place and work! Must go more often! read more

This continues to be one of my favorite places in the Lehigh Valley. The menu continues to expand both food and drink-wise. The service is great and friendly. Most of the Lehigh Valley is #lvl but this place is great. read more

Went here to get a quick bite to eat, but all we got were 45 minutes of wining excuses about how they got some mix up. When my burger finally got here, the lettuce and tomatoes had some really funny (bad) taste to it. With the addition of a medium rare burger coming out medium well, read more

This is a great place for a drink or two. Love that they only use their own liquors, also that there is a Franklin Hill tasting room/buying room to visit if you need wine. I only wish they would have the franklin hills wines on the drink menu. read more

Stopped as part of our first Friday evening. Great bar service, very friendly and fun. We didn't had reservations so sat at the bar. Had the nachos, they were very good. Overall we'd come back, with reservations, and enjoy dinner read more

Really great restaurant. We had crab cakes, steak, and burger. All were great. Drinks were good made perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely return. read more

Fantastic experience at Social Still tonight. Awesome spirit flight and great drinks. Valley's Best Burger!!!

Best burger I've ever had! Bun was grilled perfectly, burger was cooked just right, and the pickled onions and marinated tomatoes were perfect additions. Ramen was delicious too! Wish I lived closer but next time I'm in the area will definitely be back! read more

Went with some friends excited to try this new place after reading the positive reviews but left disappointed. It has all the cold and loud aspects of a large stone bank with few redeeming qualities. The drinks were high priced and mehh. Similar with the food with the add of small portions. You would be doing yourself a favor going to Roar or the Mint. One positive note, the distillation column was cool. read more

A decent place to stop for a drink. The food is definitely bar food. Their mixed drinks are well prepared and enough booze in them to make 2 orr 3 enough for the night. read more

We were looking for an early dinner before a show and found Social Still--a 5 minute drive from the Sands Casino Event Center in Bethlehem. The restaurant/bar has plenty of parking--but the lot signage is misdirected and confusing. The interior of this converted bank building features a massive still (of course) and an open bank vault. The hard and high surfaces--typical in a bank--are upholstered with sound baffles to diminish the echo. It's visually bright and interesting with a large bar and mixed high and low wood tables. The wait staff and management were cordial and helpful, but the food was disappointing. An a la carte spaghetti with shrimp bowl ($18) was dry and tasteless. Additional sauce didn't help the lack of seasoning. Bread for the pasta dish? None available except for stale wafers salvaged from an onion soup base. The onion soup (the only soup offered) was good, in a small crock, but with more "bread wafers" than onions. Artificial sweetener for coffee? Not available. My "special" burger was topped with the thinnest veneer of Boursin cheese. It was described as "on a brioche." Not so, it had a rather an ordinary bun (remember, no bread available.) My error in choice. The drinkers seemed happier. read more

Great atmosphere and even better cocktails. Had a wonderful first experience there, but on a Friday night they were closing up at 11pm. They should definitely extend their bar hours so my great experience could have kept going. read more

My husband and I went to Social Still for Valentine's Day and it was great! There was a large drink selection, and we both found cocktails we enjoyed. The oyster stew was the best oyster stew I've ever had. We both had the filet mignon, and it was perfect. Dessert was also delicious! We'd gladly go back for another meal at Social Still read more

We just got home from dinner at Social Still. I had ordered the Seared Scallops entree. While the scallops were delicious, that was about all that was on my plate, aside from about 2 tablespoons of pickled shaved vegetables. The cost of this plate was $25. This seemed absurd when I received my meal, but I couldn't remember what else was supposed to come with it. When I got home I checked the menu online and realized that it was in fact supposed to include a side dish (this is not an a la carte menu). I ordered the scallops because it was 1 of 2 entrees that was specifically noted on the menu as able to be prepared gluten free. So I guess they think that because you are gluten free you like to pay the regular price but receive less food?! Just because I am gluten free doesn't mean I am any less hungry than the next person. It also doesn't mean I like to pay the same price for less. Normally restaurants will offer to make an entree gluten free by changing the preparation, not just eliminating a major component, like a side dish. I'm very disappointed in my experience and this demonstration of poor management. read more

Great place went for our anniversary. The drinks and food were great the burger was the hit

Old fashioneds were decent but food was just "ok". Martinis terrible. Food was way over salted. Service was sub par. Ordered coffee after dinner and there was not even cream available. Glad we tried but will not go back. read more

We have been here twice already and the food is awesome. Such a cool place, the food is great, the drinks even better. The trufflin burger is hands down one of the best burgers I have had, the smoked salmon BLT is pretty bad ass to. If you are on a date or special occasion for 2 make reservations ahead and ask for the bank vault(coolest thing about this place). They distill their own gin, rye, bourbon, vodka. They recently added more craft beers and have a total of 10 on tap, some from local breweries. Overall we really enjoy this place. We are an hour away but gladly take this ride. read more

Social Still is a craft distillery with craft spirits and local craft beer and serving food from a scratch kitchen. We stopped in for the first time on a recent Saturday, late afternoon just before the switch over from lunch to dinner. We were able to be seated at the bar (most empty tables already had reservations) had food and drinks and it doesn't get much better. The place has a really great vibe, lively but not unbearably loud or crazy, in an old bank, tastefully and nicely renovated. Wish I'd gotten our bartender's name because he was wonderful. Welcoming and attentive, he answered all our questions and gave great recommendations for food and beer. As he was leaving for the day because of the changing shifts, he took the time to check with us once more before he headed out the door to make sure we were happy with everything. I had the "Best Damn Veggie Burger" and it was! and my partner had the "Carnitas Street Tacos" and said they were really good. Fries were house cut that came with the burger. They have a distillery on premise, sourcing local grains, to produce their craft spirits and they are available for purchase in a really nice little shop...great gifts. I can't wait to visit again. Reservations are recommended...the place does get busy, which is not surprising! read more

Glad we found this place. Had crispy goat cheese and Calamari to start. Outstanding! Best Calamari I've had. I had scallops while my wife went with crab cakes. Everything outstanding from portion size to presentation. Did I mention the great cocktails? This will now be my "go to" place for dinner and drinks. Well done Social Still! read more

Really nice place to have dinner and hang out. Got a reservation for 8pm last night night. Place pretty full even then. Parked right across the street in their lot, which is nice because street parking on the south side is tough sometimes. Our first time there and we were both very impressed on how nice it was inside ( the place was formerly a bank). We were seated on the ground floor in close to the bar. There are two other sections up stairs. Our server was Deanna, who was wonderful the whole night. The service staff there were really on their game. My wife ordered a cucumber (?) martini and it was very tasty. We both shared the spinnich/artichoke dip. Cheesy goodness!!! So our main courses were the pan seared scallops and the braised short ribs. Both fantastic ! ( Next time I will have them leave out the broccoli rabe with the short ribs because I do not care for it). Our desserts totally rocked !! Pear streusel which was pretty much pear melba was great and the chocolate raspberry torte which was chocolate decadence at its best !. Very nice place and we plan on returning often !!! read more

Stopped in for the first time. Building is an old bank and the vault is open with Bourbon barrels aging. Awesome. We had the Herbalist and the Jalepeno Heist - great drinks! Ate the roast beef panini which was also great. Will definately come back. read more

Went on a Sunday afternoon to try their flights and have an appetizer. Since there were two of us, the bartender suggested having a more standard flight as well as a flight with some of the infused liquors. The standard flight was good, the infused ones were interesting! We also had the tuna poke appetizer, which was good and contained a decent amount of tuna. read more

Wow! Loved the experience here! The food was slammin, especially the tuna tartar tacos and the hush puppies were the best I've ever had. The staff was above and beyond, especially the host with red hair (sorry I forgot her name) . I've worked in restaurants all my life and would recommend social still to anyone! Thanks for the great experience! read more

This is a really good place if you are just going out for drinks and tapas/apps. We went there for dinner, and it really isn't a dinner place. Don't get me wrong, there are a bunch of fancy drinks and the food was really good, but as someone who was hungry for food, it wasn't really for me. We got the rustic Flatbread and it was delicious. But for 10 bucks and it's size, it isn't really a good meal place. And unfortunately I'm not really a cocktails and tapas type person. But if you are, this is an awesome place. read more

Mike (gonzo), jake, and Angie are the best! They made our experience really memorable. We will definitely be back! Great food and service.

Love this place! I have been here many times. The food and service are always top-notch. The first time I came in was with friends for drinks. The cocktails were innovative and delicious. And the food was so delicious. With both carnivores and vegetarians in the group, there was something for everybody. We also purchased their liquor to take home. While I thought I didn't like gin, after trying Social Still's, I realized maybe I just hadn't tried a good gin up until then. Since then I have been back for date night and have brought other friends. Everyone who we have taken here has thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend Social Still! read more
