Griddle 145 was widely regarded as one of the Lehigh Valley's best brunch spots. They closed in December and reopened in January 2026 with a new dinner-only concept: The Broken Record, with plans to add lunch and brunch down the road. The vibe lands somewhere between The Shelby (Allentown) and Orchid (Bethlehem)--modern, dark, and chic, with an open layout and subtle nods to a recording-studio aesthetic. It's a polished space that clearly had thought put into it. Jerry, the GM, is warm and welcoming, and even during a soft opening the operation felt well-staffed and energetic. While some team members are still finding their rhythm, there's a solid core of seasoned staff who keep things moving smoothly. The bar is clean, new, and comfortable, with plush seating and cleverly tucked-away TVs--present enough to catch the score, discreet enough to keep the focus on conversation. We opted for small plates from the elevated pub menu (stone-oven pizzas, tacos, salads, sandwiches). While I plan to return and explore more of the menu, this first round was, unfortunately, underwhelming. Zucchini Fries - A familiar dish, but fried perfectly and arguably the highlight of the evening. Tempura Cauliflower - Fun idea, but overly breaded, bite-sized nuggets paired with an "aioli" that leaned more toward tinted mayo. Ahi Tuna Tostada - Fresh and clean, though awkward to eat and missing a bit of cohesion. Skirt Steak Frites - Poutine-adjacent in concept, but ordered medium and arrived well-done and quite gristly. Heavy butter application didn't help. Mushroom Risotto - More mashed-potato texture than risotto. Pleasant flavor, but not true to form. That said, I'm still rooting for this place. As a fan of their Blanche de Bruxelles wit served in a frosted glass, I'll be back to spin the menu again--hoping to add The Broken Record to my regular rotation... or confirm that it's still skipping.

Service was too notch. The BR has a great tangible energy. The cocktail program is aces! The food offerings are wonderful. There is a reason everyone at the bar is having fun. The bartenders are engaged and very attentive. This is a wonderful spot for small plates and cocktails.

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Trexlertown! I started with the mushroom risotto and it was incredible. Moist, heavy creamy risotto with fresh wild mushrooms and parmesan cheese. Add some protein and this could be a full meal! I then ordered a house sandwich. Portobello mushroom, roasted red pepper, a pesto aioli on a crusty ciabatta bread. It's crusty, flavorful, and perfect if you are looking for something lighter on a hot day! The dish came with chips, or you could do a salad or potato. The chips were seasoned and while I never figured out what they were, they added the perfect flavor to a sandwich. Everything in the restaurant was aesthetically perfect - all the way down to the drinks themselves. The waitress was attentive without overbearing and made sure we had what we wanted without the constant interruptions. If you're a fan of Shelby, this is a great alternative, with a bit more down to earth options without sacrificing the flavors!

We went for the second time and it continues to be very good. They make some interesting drinks and have many menu items that are very good. We had mushroom risotto with shrimp added, fried zucchini ( a bit overdone) and a mushroom pizza. In fact we took another pizza home - so good. The servers are very nice and we loved the decor and the music. Fantastic! We'll be back.

Great service and cool vibes with the music and decor. Bathroom was oddly cool too. Next time we'll have to save room for dessert!

We walked in and even though it was busy we were taken to our reserved table immediately. The place is big with nice decor and ambiance, and the tables are spaced out enough that it keeps the area around you quiet enough to be able to hold a conversation comfortably with the people at your table. Our server was with us quickly and took our drink orders. All of the cocktails were delicious and several of us got a second round! We got the bao buns, chicken skewers, and birria poutine to start and they were all extremely delicious. The poutine tasted more like molé though so I personally wouldn't call it birria, and the cheese was a molten cheddar-like kind and not cheese curds. It was delicious though so no one complained! I got the curry and subbed tofu for shrimp. It was a little bland and I honestly wish there would've been a bit more of the curry itself (there was so much rice) and some more salt/seasoning, but it was fine. I'd give it a 7.5/10. My coworkers all enjoyed their own dishes (especially the rigatoni) and they kept raving about them throughout the whole meal. Our server was attentive and kept the table clean and our water bottles topped up. I definitely recommend checking it out! We're keeping it i. our list for next time we're in town :)

Creamy lobster on top of nori inside of a light and fluffy bun. It was a fun twist on a classic bite. For the main I ordered the wagyu burger. I ordered it rare and it was not the right call. The burger was so thick that it didn't get a great sear on the outside and was falling apart. I did hear a waitress recommend medium well due to the size and I would definitely suggest that to anyone who tries it. It had a great flavor so I would still recommend you try it. I also ordered the notch fried rice bowl. Chinese sausage, pork belly, peas, carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, garlic, broccoli, egg, bean sprouts, togarashi spice, and topped with a dippy egg. This dish was savory, Asian fusion cuisine mixed with something that felt like comfort food. If you go here, this is what I would recommend you try, but their whole menu looked incredible. This is a spot you need to add to your list of places to check out.

First, there were rain and thunderstorms in the area the entire night before they played, but instead of moving inside they stuck them outside because the rain was "going to stop" according to the owners. Secondly, the owners rudely walked up to the band and cut them off in the middle of 4 straight songs due to them apparently being too loud. From where we were sitting, the band actually sounded great and had pretty low volume compared to other bands I've heard. Several other customers around us and people watching them perform were visibly frustrated and appalled at the way the band was treated. The bottom line is, If you have a noise issue, don't have bands. On top of all this the service down by the pavilion was miserable. Nobody was waiting tables or asking people if they would like to eat, and the tables were very dirty. And the food is very bad and quite expensive. My girlfriend got sick from the food she ordered. Please do not make the mistake of bringing a band hear or eating here.

I started off with the Lamb Kheema Puff. Spicy ground lamb wrapped in a warm and crispy pastry dough and topped with a creamy cheese sauce. Then I ordered two mains, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Biryani. The butter chicken was rich and flavorful without being too spicy. The dish came with white rice, but I double down for some of their house garlic naan bread. They nailed the garlic to bread ratio, the bread had black charring but did not taste burnt. Both the rice and the naan went well with the butter chicken. The chicken biryani came in a rice bowl with a cucumber sauce on the side that complimented the dish. I would say this dish was pretty spicy for me, and I was only able to eat a little bit at a time and ended up mixing in some white rice so I could tolerate the heat. The waiter was attentive and explained the dishes in detail to help make my menu selections. Right now rated an 9.4 on my Beli, and I would recommend to anyone who is interested in trying Indian cuisine for the first time

The server was very well informed on the dishes and recommendations on the drinks that paired well with my meal. They were very attentive and always ready to assist when we needed anything. They provided a fun time for me and my family. They are one of the main drivers for me giving a high rating for this place. To the owners, your servers are amazing; they definitely need the recognition. Setting (0.75/1) - overall, the sitting is really inviting. The modern table and chairs help create a very open vibe and showcase the art pieces on the wall. It also allows for the view to the bar and servers so they can come by when we needed them. I couldn't give full points yet as they were missing a proper signage on the outside. We were a bit confused on the location as it's inside Delta Hotel. Once we came closer to the hotel, we saw a banner with the restaurant name. This can be improved further with a permanent signage that can show customers the way to the restaurant from all the way from outside streets as it's really tucked away behind other businesses. Food (1.5/2) - the food felt fresh apart from just few things. The pani puri was top notch, guava spicy water was the highlight for both me and my wife. Really well spiced and a hint of guava combined well with the alternative mint flavored water. Each shot was taking me back to the streets of India. I would come back just for this combination again. However, after having the spiciest food first meant that I did feel rest of the food was under spiced. Thecha paneer was good. The sauce paired well with the tandoor paneer but it can have more spices for sure. The paneer angara was also again good but felt can have more heat to it. But I still enjoyed it well with the butter naan that is eggless. Now for the parts that can improve. The spinach artichoke dip didn't feel fresh or authentic. Kids liked it but to me it felt grainy and cold. The fries were normal. Nothing bad about it but nothing great either. Lastly, the avocado chaat is a great concept and I would have enjoyed it more had it not been for it being over seasoned with salt. There was just too much salt there. Drinks (1/1) - I forgot the name of the drink but it was really awesome. I'd like to try their other mixes for sure next time. Overall, I enjoyed my meal with my family. Even though it felt weird to think I might be in the wrong place, I would come by here next time. Props to the chef and servers who took care of us really well.
