The cocktails are incredible. It's family friendly, too. We brought our 10 month old with us for lunch. I had the vegan burger and truffle fries, and the food was really great. read more

Five stars for a small function we held there in mid July. About 25 of us were upstairs for drinks and small plates. Four drinks were featured and all were tasty and prepared with care. Small plates were down right delicious. Olive tapenade and hummus were right out of heaven. Anti-pasta meats and cheeses were super delicious. Service was top notch and overall, we had s great event. We were in the upstairs loft which has a nice view of the bar below and of 3rd street outside. Great addition to the city and the neighborhood. read more

Love this place. Went for happy hour and ended up having dinner. The service was superb, friendly and profesional. The scallops are to die for. Still craving them. The appetizers are very good as well. read more

Love the location and ample parking. The staff was great! Drinks very good, great selection. Food took a long time considering they were only a little over half capacity, and my food was only warm. Burger was delicious, but warm. Fries were also setting around. I like my food hot. My wife's burger was hotter than mine, but fries also warm. I will try here again, and if similar experience, won't come back. Hope it will be better. read more

One of our favorite places with good reason! From the hostess that seats us to the waitresses and bar staff, they're all very professional and top notch. The drinks are extremely creative and yummy. A wide variety of beers on draft. Amazing dishes prepared by a very talented chef. The place is very clean. What's not to like? I like to give a balanced report that includes the good, the bad and the ugly. But, right now I'm struggling to find the negative. A+++ establishment. read more

Jalapeño heist is my favorite cocktail- a good blend of spicy and sweet, and just enough kick. Restaurant week menu was a good deal & tasty, but I still recommend crab cakes as the go-to. Good dining choice and good gluten-free options (GF crab cakes!) Friendly and responsive wait staff who know how to take care of you. Definitely stop by! read more

This place was really cool. The bartender was really friendly and talkative. The food was good and the atmosphere was really neat. Oh and of course the drinks were great. It was very crowded and we could not get a table but were able to sneak 2 corner seats at the bar. read more

After a long work day, I was very much in the mood for a mojito, and decided to check out this distillery. I came alone and sat at the bar. Shortly after, an Asian guy seated himself next to me. My bartender assumed, because I am Asian as well, that we were together. When I ordered an appetizer, he brought out two plates and two sets of utensils. Throughout the meal, this guy and I never exchanged a word, yet our bartender continued to assume we were together. When I asked for my check, his drink was on my tab. I was a bit annoyed about this, but can understand that it was a genuine misunderstanding on his behalf. As for the food, the crab hush puppies were pretty tasty. The exterior was crispy and the filling was moist and flavorful. The remoulade that accompanied the hush puppies added tartness and provided a good balance of flavors. Unfortunately, the mojitos were not good at all. I asked for the coconut mojito and it left a very bad aftertaste, which reminded me of sour milk. Ironically, as I was thinking that, I saw another bartender pour some sort of dairy product into a half concocted drink, and overheard him asking himself "is this rotten?" The drink had started curdling and looked awful. He did end up throwing out the drink and the bottle of the dairy product. I know there's no dairy in a mojito so it couldn't have been that- but it was ironic that I witnessed that as I was thinking to myself about how my mojito tasted like sour milk. I asked my bartender if he could make me another mojito- this time, a cranberry version. He was very nice about it and accommodated my request. Unfortunately, the cranberry mojito gave the same kind of aftertaste, although it was a bit better than the coconut version. If I return, I will definitely try something other than a mojito. read more

Drinks are great, food is pretty good but the menu changes a lot. One time I ordered drinks here tho (a decent amount) and I swear they didn't put any alcohol in them though??? Ambiance is great though. Feels like an NYC spot, but its South Bethlehem. Drinks are $12 so uhh watch out for that. Outdoor seating covid accommodations were great. When the drinks do have alcohol in them, they're gas. read more

Easily the best vegan veggie burger in the valley. The food and drinks are phenomenal and the staff is friendly and helpful. I was there a few weeks ago with my friend who has food allergies (and I'm vegan) so naturally we were a nightmare for the wait staff; however, our waitress handled us with grace and we were very pleased with our meals. The pricing was very fair and more than worth it. I'm so happy to have a spot that I can eat at without any worries! Btw, their jalapeño mixed drinks are DELICIOUS. read more

We had a great lunch at Social Still just following the move to Yellow phase from COVID. Everything was amazing from the "Ham"burger to the kids chicken fingers. The Hamburger was the best I have EVER had! The service was exceptional and I can not wait to come back to have the full experience once everything is fully opened. read more

You think distillery and think good drinks. They have them. But they also have amazing food. The truffle fries are unbelievably good. The bourbons are amazing too. The flight of house made liquors is such a good deal at $10 (winter 2017). I recommend choosing your favorite drink from the flight and buying a bottle downstairs in the shop. Lastly, parking is very convenient with their own lot across the street! Don't worry about finding street parking like most places in Bethlehem read more

Delicious food though some may not appreciate the shortness of the list. Very thoughtful appetizers and entrees that pair well with the drink menu. The differences between the gin and vodka are succinctly demonstrated in the Social Gimlet. The vodka variation had a clean taste, that though delicious, was not challenging to the palate. The gin variation on the other hand challenged one to identify the various layers of lime and infused gin, that make up this delicious signature drink. Herbalist was a refreshing combination of cucumber and rosemary. And the Raspberry Robbery was a pleasant and tasty end to the evening in lieu of a desert menu. All and all, a delicious dinner in an atmospheric building with tons of architectural features to keep any conversation going! read more

Social Still - The gin Social Gimlet and the Artisan Flatbread. Amazing balsamic reduction. - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Been here twice for drinks with friends. The atmosphere is great inside. Situated in a former bank, the high vaulted ceiling, two story windows and huge glass display of the distilling equipment define the space. Plenty of room on the main floor and second floor seating areas for groups, large and small. During my first visit, we were seated in the vault, which is an experience. Not being a fan of Vodka or Gin, I was pleasantly surprised by the drinks I chose (Raspberry Robbery and Crazy Mary). My wife had a drink with pepper infused vodka and much to my surprise, it tasted great. I sampled the vodka by itself, and while it wasn't the best I've had, I understand it's a work in progress. The menu is pretty limited, featuring some smaller appetizers, so don't come here with an empty stomach. I didn't eat anything, but friends said what they tried was good. I'm curious as to how long it will be before distillation of whiskey and rum, which are liquors I prefer. It's also interesting that another distillery is opening just down the road in the near future. It's great to see businesses like Social Still taking advantage of the redevelopment of South Bethlehem. read more

Went on a Thursday night with my husband to have a couple drinks before going to the sands. We ordered the social gimlet with gin and the jalapeño heist. Highly recommend the heist, sweet with a spicy finish. Like nothing I ever had! The social gimlet was infused with basil - unfortunately I didn't taste much basil and it had small pieces of basil that clogged the straw. Tab for two drinks was $24, seems steep but the drinks were worth it in flavor and alcohol content. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was great. Lindsey was very inviting and friendly. I would recommend this place for a drink after work or on your way for a night out. I was surprised they close so early. Check out the satellite Franklin hills wine shop inside, great addition to take home a couple bottles on your way out. read more

Came here on a whim (on route to my final destination) and had great service. Angelina made sure I had my favorite drink to New York standards and made it happen. Jake engaged in lovely conversation while I sat at the bar and enjoyed my drink, my garlic hummus with roasted peppers and balsamic vinegar. The establishment itself looks modern with the distillery equipment serving as its decor. Love it! Will visit again if I get the chance. read more

Social Still - Their yummy Old Fashioned with an ice sphere! - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

I've been going to the Social Still since they've opened, and every visit has been stupendous. The handcrafted cocktails made from spirits distilled on site are always delicious and rotate seasonally. The herbalist and any drink made from their barrel aged spirits are winners. They greatly expanded their menu, so you can get anything from charcuterie to full dinners. Plus, they've recently started carrying local microbrews on draft! If you have the opportunity, take a tour of the old bank building and check out the production line and aging room. The Social Still has breathed new life into a great history building on the Southside, and the staff is happy to share the rich history (and a delicious cocktail) with you. read more

Adam was awesome. Food is amazing. Can't beat the drinks!!!! I have been here 4 times and love it.

Great vibe right off the bat! Walked in early for our Saturday night reservation, but we were seated right away. Service was stellar! The hush puppy appetizer was very tasty. For dinner I had the BBQ brisket and my wife had the salmon BLT. Both were great! We tried several different drinks. All were excellent and none were watered down. You do get what you pay for!!! They ran out of the key lime pie in a jar dessert :-(. The goat milk cheesecake is different. Bummer about dessert, but everything else was awesome!!! Definitely coming back! read more

We stopped by this past Wednesday at 4:30 on our way to see a show at the Sands Event center. We were very impressed from beginning to end with everything! It is a very cool use of an old bank building, we took a peek inside the vault, maybe next time we'll request to sit there. Tommy was spot on as our server. Loved the unique cocktails, and two days later we're still raving about how yummy our entrees were. My husband had a burger, I had smoked salmon BLT, and my sister had the tuna tacos, which were out of this world! Already planning our next visit! Everyone was prompt and efficient from start and finish! ( I forgot to mention the yummy blueberry goat cheese cheesecake!) read more

Great food, great service, unfortunate acoustics. Came in for dinner at 7:30 and were promptly seated upstairs. The acoustics were immediately problematic due to a loud group nearby. Their loudness was somehow amplified by the building layout, so the only advice to the establishment there would be to look into some kind of sound absorptive tiles to help reduce the noise level. Wife ordered French onion soup which was served promptly. Tasted great. She wanted more cheese but she's got a thing for the stuff. For dinner, she ordered the Buffalo chicken salad and I got the blackened salmon. Wife's order was mistaken for the sandwich variant but immediately rectified. Both meals were fantastic; great flavors, perfect portions, appropriate pricing. Ordered house whiskey, was good but I'm not a fan of rye so I won't include that in my report. Overall, enjoyable experience, will visit again. read more

This place was WONDERFUL! The only reason for the 4 stars was the acoustics. If you're sitting up top and have a loud group next to you that can be a little problematic to hear the person/people you're with. The food and service was fantastic! Had a slight misunderstanding with my entrée but that was quickly sorted out! The salad I ordered was tasty and it was the perfect size, not a ton of stuff on a plate that you wouldn't be able to finish, let alone would want to take home and have it go bad. My husband loved his salmon (and those scrumptious potatoes served with it) and the French onion soup I started with was delicious (though admittedly I am a cheese freak and would've loved more). For the slight mix up with my entrée they even offered us dessert, which was very appreciated, and WOW! Lemon and blueberry cake with a tasty and delicate icing. So good! Can't say enough about the staff! Great group of smiling people, and I was even surprised when the manager touched our table to get feed back, not many restaurants make this a point to do. Makes a HUGE difference in a business and makes the customer feel important! Thanks for everything, we'll be back! Do yourself a favor and go! read more

If Yelp would allow zero Stars that is where we would be. Let me set the scene - it's the night before my wedding. My fiancé (an active duty marine from the local area) and I are having our wedding in his hometown. We've flown across from California, but my guest at dinner this evening have flown in from Germany, Australia, Hong Kong and Japan. Despite a rigorous cleanse, tone and moisturise regime it would be pushing it to say my 34 year old self looked under 21 - and likewise my guest, all of whom are in their 30s and fabulous!! The table was booked through OpenTable weeks in advance and we were all dressed for a lovely dinner and a few cocktails. We are seated, no problem - but then we order drinks and we are asked to show our ID. We look at each other perplexed, but proceed to get out our wallets. We hand over Photograph Drivers Licences from Australia, Germany and the US. The US license for my NYC friend who currently lives in Germany and myself - fine. For the rest of us - not acceptable. I ask to see the Manager - Remember we are all professional females in our 30s with Photographic Government ID issued by extremely well known and respected countries. The Manager comes out in what can only be described as gym clothing and in no way attired for dealing with customers. His attitude was nothing short of disgusting. I explain that we are out for dinner the night before my wedding and that the girls have sensibly locked their passport in the safe in their hotel room. We are told in an extremely rude manner that our options are to produce original passports or leave. We left. The law provides such a restaurant with discretion if we look over the age of 30 - furthermore we were not asking them to take out word for it, we had Government ID!! Fortunately we were able to get 2 Ubers to the Sands Casino where we had a delightful meal at the Chop House (which for those not in the know - is within the gaming area of the Casino - where, wait for it - you must be over 21 years of age!) We were not ID checked walking into the Casino or at dinner. We were happy to give Chop House our business to the tune of $420 - may I suggest you all change your reservations too - or if you dare to risk it, be sure you only dine with fellow Americans. read more

Great stop for lite food options (sandwiches, tapas, etc.), great atmosphere and an interesting selection of spirits, beer and wine. Owned by an average PA winery but they did a FANTASTIC job with the building and the spirits are coming along but it takes time. They do some interesting drinks with what they have and thanks to changes in PA liquor laws can also serve PA brewed beer. If you are on the Southside it's definitely worth a stop and could be nicely paired with either Bookstore or Molinaris (bar) for a double cocktail stop in a couple blocks of each other. read more

Hands down the best restaurant in the Valley! Their cocktails are amazing, food is unique and delicious, service is always wonderful! Also the atmosphere is really fun! Love the old bank vibe! Highly recommend coming here! The drinks are not cheap, but the alcohol is so pure you don't get a hangover and they make all of their own ingredients for the drinks. So you get what you pay for and it's well worth it! They also have local craft beer and Franklin Hill wine. read more

1 star because I can't give a negative star. The service refused to serve my brother-in-law (who visited with my sister from living and working overseas) because they would not accept his Swedish ID nor the testimony of my family or his wife/my sister. Worse yet, the manager approached them and had the unprofessional nerve of asking them if they were law-abiding citizens. They left to go to Tapas and could not have asked for better service! read more

Pretty good overall. Food is good and so is the atmosphere and service. Great place to spend time in Bethlehem. Overall recommend.

We love social still. It is a fun place to come for drinks and all of their liquors and cocktails are delicious. We love their gin and always buy a bottle for the house. The food is consistently good for dinner. The crabcake is our favorite as it is made with real lump crab and does not have any filler! read more

I've been to the social still before and always loved it, however, last night i took friends with us and we were all very disappointed. Let me say that the alcoholic drinks were exceptional. I had a dirty martini and it was done to perfection. The bad news is...the meal was not up to the usual standard and the manager kept trying to defend the chef's preparation of the food. My friend asked for the rock shrimp and since it said chili oil...she asked the waitress if it was very hot. the waitress said no...but she would make sure that only a touch would be used. When the dish came, it was hot spicy and my friend couldn't eat it. We called the waitress over and asked for it to be made again...which they did, however, by the time it arrived, we were all finished with our meal. The manager came up and said she would only charge half price for that meal. Usually, when something like that happens...particularly after my friend asked specifically that it not be made hot AND it arrived after the rest of us were finishing eating...the entire dish would have been taken off the bill. My husband and I had the salmon...and it was on a vegetable bed that was spicy. I did not remember the description saying anything about "spicy" and yet, when i mentioned it to the manager, who appeared with the new shrimp dish for my friend...she read from the menu..."Oh yes...it has pepper in it." I didn't want to take the menu from her to see for myself...but when i arrived home i pulled up the menu and the description says: Jail Island Salmon...Edamame, Local Cherry tomatoes, Roasted corn, Walnut Romesco. Romesco is usually made with a mild ancho chili...certainly not the hot spiciness that was in the salmon dish. I think a little asterisk should be on the menu if dishes served are going to be spicy so the customer knows what they are getting. We might try the restaurant again...but i was not happy that the meal served to my friend was not able to be consumed until they remade it...and the fact that the manager just kept trying to defend the chef rather than say..."So sorry...this one's on us" was disappointing. read more

This is a decent little business which I hope is able to get off the ground. My brother and I visited this past Sunday. I think they have been open less than a week at this point. I ordered "The Herbalist" which was a gin/ herb cocktail. My brother, who is more a Miller Lite kind of guy ordered the "Raspberry Robbery" which was a fruitier vodka drink. It was worth the trip just to see him drink that pink girly drink, lol. Out of our two drinks, I think his was the better choice. The menu said it contained egg whites, which sounded gross, but turned out to be totally fine. We sat at the bar, given that there was pretty much no one else with us in the bar, and we had a great view of the distilling equipment. There was also a pretty neat area where it looked as if you could sit inside the former bank vault. My one criticism would be that some of the furniture looked a little lawn furniture / patio-esque and not all that comfortable. The waitstaff / bartenders were awesome and super excited to share info on drinks and their product. One bartender mentioned that brewing beer may also be in the future if the place takes off - very cool! read more
