It's a great homey set up with the warming huts and the ice - you don't have to take playing seriously but it's almost impossible to not have a great time. It has been a long while since I've been to sociable cider weeks , because I really don't like cider. It is worth a stop even if you prefer beer. I drank their Saison, which is a beer I love. It's hard to find, and even harder to find it done well. I was very pleased with their version. I did not try any of the sliders, but everyone I was with loved what they were drinking. It is a great place to go when the weather is warm. There are tons of outside picnic tables and lawn space, plus lawn games. You can easily bring your bike. We've been here many times for craft fairs, art-a-whirl, bingo, and just because! Parking lot at the end of a "dead end" road or street parking by a softball/baseball field. If you've had any of their canned beverages from liquor stores around, then you know what you're in for. Tasty ciders, but not overly sweet. They are constantly hosting events! It was a super fun evening of Trivia and Cider! Service was good, with quick attention and friendly hello's. The atmosphere is pretty loud, but that because they had a trivia ganó going on. I did not really care for the others. I'm not a fan of cloves and I think a few holiday specials were super heavy on the cloves. The SoSo food truck was great! Unfortunately, the process that followed was marked by a lack of communication, inconsistent follow-ups and ultimately a cancellation that left me feeling deeply disheartened. Shortly after booking, I reached out to the listed contact, Olivia to confirm event logistics but received no response. On April 25, I visited the venue in person and was told by a bartender that Olivia was no longer handling events, and that Taylor Girocco, Taproom Operations Manager, was now the appropriate contact. I called Taylor that evening and, although she was at a wedding, she promised to follow up with me the following Monday. That follow-up never came. Over the following days and weeks, I made repeated attempts to reach Taylor by phone, email, text, and even in-person visits. While we briefly connected on April 29 to confirm key event details, I never received the promised catering menu. Despite providing an alternative email and making multiple attempts to follow up, including voicemail messages requesting a response. I heard nothing back. On May 7, I visited again in person and was met by kind bartenders who acknowledged the situation and promised to speak to Taylor. While I appreciated their professionalism and empathy, I was understandably stressed and concerned by the growing uncertainty around the event. Subsequent follow-up attempts, both in-person and over the phone, continued through mid-May. On May 21 and 22, I visited again and spoke with two team members (one a manager, the other named John) who offered understanding and expressed that Taylor was under pressure due to an upcoming event. They were professional and made efforts to reach Taylor on my behalf. Ultimately, I received an email on May 22 from Taylor informing me that my reservation was being canceled, citing my interactions with staff. This was shocking and upsetting. After weeks of trying to get a response, I felt punished for seeking basic communication and clarity. I share this with the hope that my experience will be taken seriously and that improvements can be made for future customers. I wanted to celebrate my son's milestone with joy and ease, but instead I encountered repeated miscommunication, unresponsiveness, and ultimately, a cancellation that left us scrambling. While I appreciate that Taylor has agreed to issue a refund, I will not be doing business with Sociable Cider Werks again. I also feel a responsibility to share this experience with my community to ensure others are aware. I sincerely hope this feedback leads to internal reflection and improvements in your event planning and customer communication processes. Sociable is a cool hangout spot with a rustic and industrial feel. It has a large outdoor space and in the winter is home to an ice rink. The whole venue is dog-friendly which is nice to bring along your well behaved pooch! Sociable also has staple food trucks which rotate every so often. The service at these is great, they have mobile ordering and notify you via text when food is ready. Though Sociable has a great space and variety of events to keep you entertained, the one thing that doesn't blow me out of the park is in their namesake - their cider. Between several visits throughout the year, I have tried their matcha, rhubarb tart, strawberry daiquiri, gingerbread, freewheeler, mead, rusty chain, and skinny tire. None of these really stood out to me and I believe there are much better cideries in the state. I don't think I will go out of my way to come back. read more

I visited Sociable Cider Werks during the Friday of the Art-A-Whirl festival with some friends and was really impressed with the venue. The space is large, well decorated, and there is plenty of seating which was great for our larger group. I love cider and wanted to try some new ones out so I opted for what appeared to be one of the seasonal ciders - the Beach Cruiser. It was pretty expensive for a cider - I think around $8 or so and honestly, it was just decent. It was supposed to have a very fruity, sweet flavor but tasted pretty standard. Still a good drink though. I then saw a bunch of people around with slushies so I decided to try the strawberry lemon slushie next which ended up being around $10 or so. This one was not good, I would definitely not get this again. It was overwhelmingly sour to the point it was unpleasant. My friends all tried it as well, and none of them were fans either. The space and vibes are really cool though, and I would be down to come here again and try some different ciders and hopefully find something I like. read more

I found this place completely by accident. (Well, I have definitely had their ciders before, but didn't know about their brick and mortar location today.) I had just come to an exhibit in the pop up art space, and it turns out that the free parking lot for the venue is also the parking lot for Sociable. And I was so thirsty. It was kismet, no doubt. What a fun venue! Awesome tunes, indoor and outdoor seating, a welcoming environment, and beautiful people everywhere. They have cornhole, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, shade, sun (which is probably not available year-round)... it's an awesome place to spend a summer afternoon, with ample feel-good vibes. I don't think I've acquired a taste for cider as yet but I love how the Pub Pass is taking us to new places and trying new things. The brewery was a fun welcoming place. It had a big hockey rink in the parking lot (no ice yet). Maybe boot hockey leagues? They had a live musician inside and the place was rocking. We couldn't find a place to sit inside so we bellied up to a cozy fire outside. They even had stoking wood just below your table to allow you to keep your fire going strong. I don't really like beer but I love cider so this was way more my speed than any other brewery in the state. Let me tell you, this place is huge. HUGE. And they have so many different kinds of cider! I LOVED their mulled cider, it hit the spot perfectly. But, there's so many different kinds, you're bound to find something you like even if you don't prefer the sweetness of a cider. I ordered the Mead for Speed. I found it horrendous. It reminded me of the moonshine I used to make at home. There was a strong aftertaste of yeast. None of the flavor of the honey came through. We were visiting and wanted some good cider, and I can see why this place ranks well in that area. Cider is, in fact, their jam. Love this place! We got some canned drinks for a picnic in the park. We wanted the 'fun' label drinks but they don't sell them Togo so we got the growlers as we were bringing them off site. They have a really nice patio/outdoor area that we didn't get a chance to enjoy but it looked like it'd be a blast! I have to talk about the mead, yes still on the mead topic - it has the perfect amount of sweetness and an amazingly refreshing drink. Not so dry or tart, but it sits so pleasantly on your palate at each sip. Mead for Speed is their flagship (rightfully so) and everyone's favs, but they frequently come up with some fun varieties. This place is beautiful and offers a big parking lot. The bartenders are the best and they are a friendly bunch. I especially love their Monday night Bingo. I missed it much since we went into Covid lockdown, but I know we will all come back roaring strong against this virus! Nothing can stop us!! So here is the deal with their situation during the lockdown. Their online ordering process is swift and effortless. Choose delivery or simply pickup on your own. Very clearly marked instructions to keep everyone safe should you choose to show up. Crowler as a pack of 3 for $20 is a good deal if you want a variety and to drink it slowly by not opening the can. The better deal is of course, their $16 growler refill but they take stainless steel ones only not the glass ones because it holds the carbonation strength better. That's it! Order away! I also heard that they are launching their seltzer's soon at the liquor stores. Very fun flavors like pineapple and guava.
