I think the previous negative comments were based on previous ownership as I have never experienced anything negative about this place. My wife and I moved from Portland and we're in need of a good dry cleaner now that Covid restrictions are loosening and we're required to be back in the office. Tried several cleaners in Laguna Beach as we are residents here and was impressed by the fast, friendly, courteous service of Snyder's. Dry cleaning was done well and priced fairly. Convenient parking or just drive up to their front door and they will come to your car window for service. read more

I went to Snyders dry cleaners to have a patch sewn onto a cardigan. I didn't ask for anything else. Snyders took it upon themselves to press the garment with the result that the hem curled up. I handed the cardigan back, Snyders pressed the Cardigan again, handed it back to me, stating, "We did the best we could" The Cardigan is now 8 " longer, completely stretched out, with a curling hem. i.e. ruined. The woman who works there, now insists that they never did any with the garment except sew the patch on. Having been a customer for 41 years, is now in the rear view mirror. I went here for years because it was convenient. But after an $85 bill one day, I began looking for a new cleaner. I now drive out of town to pay a lot less. For instance, my husband's dress shirts, at Snyder's, cost $6 to dry clean; my new place charges $2.25! That's a mind-blowing price difference. Now, instead of $60 bills, my dry-cleaning visits average closer to $20. Easily worth the drive when I calculate the cost savings over time. In sum: Nothing wrong with Snyder's; they do a fine job and they are friendly enough (although I never understood why I was expected to come inside after parking outside of their DRIVE-THRU--what's up with that?!). But they are extremely high priced. And since our police department is one of their clients, I suppose that, in essence, I still pay money to Snyder's. Just not as much. read more

We stopped using Snyder's Cleaners because they kept losing my uniform laundry items that I need for work, and giving them to OTHER customers. We then went to LIVE WIRE CLEANERS on Forest Ave, who also showed a high level of incompetence and inability to do their jobs, so we left. I thought we would give Snyder's another try. BIG MISTAKE!! I dropped off 2 pairs of uniform pants. When I went to pickup, they gave me a PIN-STRIPPED pair of pants. Dirty, ripped, PIN-STRIPPED PANTS! When I told them, "These aren't my pants," they said, "This is what you dropped off." I had to argue, "No, it wasn't, because I DON'T EVEN OWN A PAIR OF PIN-STRIPPED PANTS!! What have you done with my pants??!!" YOU'VE BEEN WARNED: DON'T USE SNYDER'S CLEANERS!! read more

I took silk curtains to have cleaned. After 3 weeks of waiting 3 of my panels were not cleaned. Snyders sent them back to their people that clean drapes. After 2 weeks I got them back BUT their people SHRANK the 3 panels. When snyders sent them back to "have them fixed" I ask the woman @ snyders what they're we're going to do to fix them & her answer was"I didn't ask them". When I finally got them back they still were not the same length as before & some of the seems were loosened. So people I suggest u NEVER take drapes to Snyders cleaners. & it cost me $25.00 a panel to clean & have them ruined! & yes they are expensive. Oh and the woman that helped me before ignored me when I picked up my drapes. Not good business tactic read more

This dry cleaners destroyed one of my cashmere scarves and refused to take responsibility for it. Kristi was very dishonest and claimed they did not do anything wrong. I now go to Sunny Fresh Cleaners - they are honest with free pick up and delivery in Laguna Beach. read more

We have been customers of Snyder's for over 20 years and prior to Christi purchasing the cleaners. We have a substantial amount of dry cleaning every week since my husband wears shirt and tie everyday for work. I have had several situations with Christi that she will never take responsibility for. They have turned my dress a different color because they washed it with something darker. It was light green and it was returned a funny purple and Christi told me that is what color it was when I sent it in!! Next, my husband had a shirt that had a lot of squares in the material... A very cool shirt that we bought for vacation and only wore a few times. Christi ironed all the squares out of the material and ruined the shirt!! I kept taking it back and she refused to acknowledge they ruined it!! Finally, she asked me for the receipt hoping I wouldn't have it but I went back to the store to get a copy of the receipt or just buy a new shirt and give her the bill. She almost passed out that I had the receipt and that the shirt was not cheap. She refused to replace the shirt. Instead, she gave us half the price the shirt was used and only cleaning credit at Synder's!! The final straw was she lost a pair of my husband's favorite dress pants that he wears to work. My husband only has about 5 pairs of dress pants because he likes these Italian dress pants because of the quality, instead of having more pants quantity. I went to pick up my cleaning us usual and I had someone else's pants in my cleaning and I gave the pants back to the new guy and girl who were working and they said they would look for my husbands pants. The week prior, I had a men's shirt in our cleaning that wasn't ours and I returned it. Each time I came in I would ask for my husband's pants and they would tell me they looked and they don't have them. This went on for two months of no answers. Finally I asked Christi where my husband's pants were and she said, "We don't have them and never had them. We can't be responsible that your husband can't find his pants in his closet!!" I almost fell over with shock with her disrespect! I told her the people whose pants I had in my order probably had my husband's pants. She said there was "never a mistake with my cleaning when I received the wrong pants that she was there and saw everything, and I never returned the men's shirt that was in my cleaning!" SHE WASN'T THERE!! SHE LOOKED RIGHT AT ME AT LIED!! Not the first time either!! I even said to her that she wasn't there because the two new kids were unsure of what to do and they wrote a note to,talk to her in the morning!! Christi is rude, will not take any responsibility for your property if she loses it or ruins it... Trust me I have been through both. I participate in a fundraiser that I collect prom dresses for underprivileged girls to go to their proms. Christi won't even clean a few dresses that I bring in for free, she charges me!! She knows who they are for!! Last time she wanted to charge me for the plastic on the dresses!! This last year, I brought in a dress that I said, if you don' t think you can get the stain out, please don't clean it. She cleaned it anyway and charged me full price!!! Anything for the $$$. By the way, she charged me for the lost pants too!! She said she didn't... She just double talks you. She has turned my husband's new white shirts grey yellow which she denies. All I know is she raised her prices again and I had to go and replace my husband's dress shirts and dress pants and our expense because Christi takes no responsibility. The only reason we stayed so long (we left a few times and came back because of parking) was the convince of the drive thru that you have to get out of your car!! They are outrageously expensive. My cleaning bills are cut in half now that I changed to Laguna Beach Cleaners and John and his wife are so nice and appreciative of our business. Our cleaning is beautiful, alterations are done on the spot. Parking is in the back....:) read more

$13 for a little black dress?? Ford cleaners in Laguna Niguel charged $4.05! And our council wants us to shop local....

Kristi is rude. My sister dropped off my wedding dress to be steamed before the wedding. Kristi broke the zipper on the garment bag as she unzipped it, and acted like it was no big deal, then hung my dress up out in the open. When my sister observed this she called me, and I told her to go back in there and demand that she cover it with something. Kristi ignored my sister at the front counter and kept doing what she was doing. I wasn't surprised when I received the dress on my wedding day and it had some black oil or ink marks on the skirt front. Something had obviously rubbed up against the dress while in Kristi's care. Everyone in my dressing room witnessed these marks on the dress as it came out of the bag. When one of my bridesmaids called Kristi to inform her of her negligence she was very rude, and denied that the marks were made there. It's just wrong how Kristi handled the situation. It was almost if she put the marks on the dress on purpose out of spite. Karma will make it up to her! P.S. she also over steamed the front of the dress which caused extra slack in the fabric. read more
