However…read morethough I have come here for years...there is one employee who has the worst absolute worst way of speaking to someone. Maybe she's racist against beautiful white women.. no idea nor do I care. Her attitude on the two occasions I've spoken to her the past couple weeks (including today) is so UGLY !! She needs a job where she is not the "face" of the business or engaging with the public. I mean she has a very insulting, provoking way of communicating; it's sad and ridiculous being that we have only the one laundromat in Laguna Beach. There is real potential for a new one to do well here; and especially if they offer WIfi, have a better look than Pepto Bismol with your quotes .. I mean this is Laguna we care about our color wheel! And as a human care about you speak and treat others ; especially when they are choosing to come to your place of business. Now the one in Dana Point across from Smart & Final such a nice lady!

What prompted me to try Monarch Bay Cleaner's was the fact that they're close by, they use eco-friendly solvents and there's also a well reviewed alterations place in the same shopping center so I can kill two birds with one stone. I was a bit nervous dropping off my items and told the gentleman at the front (presuming to be the owner), that I am trying them out after another place damaged my clothes. He was sweet and reassuring and said, "do not worry." It may have sounded like a trite response but it comforted me! Lo and behold not one of my items was damaged: I had a delicate silk dress, wool sweaters and linen shirts. Also there were a few light stains on some clothing that I forgot to point out upon drop off so I checked to see if it came out and it did! Normally I have to point out "trouble spots" so the cleaner's pay attention but not here -they are very thorough. For price context, I dropped off 10 pieces of clothing and my bill was $118. All worth it for peace of mind and getting the job done!

The owner helped me and actually let me utilize the restroom to try on the pants so that he could measure them on me like a true tailor. I have not tried the dry cleaning services as yet, but plan to soon and liked that all work is done onsite. From the drop off area it is easy to see the dry cleaning area as it is very organized. I was told that most of the items were "dry clean only" because of the material. I didn't see that indicated on the care tags, but I took her word for it. I was pretty shocked when the bill came to $74. When I got home, I checked every item's care label--and **none of them said "dry clean only."** My advice: ask for the price before agreeing to anything, check the care labels yourself, and be clear about exactly what service you want. I definitely wish I had done that.

These were cropped, had to be fitted in the bust, and had embroidery and beading...a real nightmare to alter- for most! Mo had me try them on and pinned them and then did some interim work and had me come back in and try them again a day later- based on his initial efforts, it was clear which tops were eventually going to work and which were not worth further effort. I so appreciated the transparency and extra effort! I think what I ended up paying was MORE than fair- especially given the additional time and counseling Mo provided lol. I had anticipated paying about double what I did here, and the work was just perfect- I danced all night! Thank you, Mo and I will be back for all My alterations and dry cleaning forever!!!
