I was so stressed about several tops I had purchased for an Indian wedding- I had never been and my Mom had the other half of the outfit that she was going to bring to the wedding- so I just had several ill-fitting tops and a lot of panic. These were cropped, had to be fitted in the bust, and had embroidery and beading...a real nightmare to alter- for most! Mo had me try them on and pinned them and then did some interim work and had me come back in and try them again a day later- based on his initial efforts, it was clear which tops were eventually going to work and which were not worth further effort. I so appreciated the transparency and extra effort! I think what I ended up paying was MORE than fair- especially given the additional time and counseling Mo provided lol. I had anticipated paying about double what I did here, and the work was just perfect- I danced all night! This was my first time using Raymar's Cleaners for dry cleaning services. I was visiting my parents in Dana Point, dropped off my suit and 3 dress shirts at the location, and when I called back, they said they have no record of my name nor can find any of the clothes I dropped off ($400+ worth of clothing). I will never be using Raymar Cleaners again and am currently trying to find a way of getting my clothes back or reimbursement. read more

The price increase I was just ok with but now if you use your credit card a 4% surcharge! I took in my wedding dress and rehearsal dinner dress that were both wrecked ! One from grass stains and the other from pure dirt. I got the dresses back and I expected there to be stains but faded, since I didn't thinking it was possible to completely remove the damage that had been done. But I was wrong! This place has been our go to in Dana Point for years, because it's always been the kind of place that recognizes the faces of their customers and offers a friendly greeting, in addition to excellent service. But I am compelled to write a review today because they truly went above and beyond for me and I am amazed and everyone needs to witness this. The picture I've attached is not of a brand new Santa Suit...it is a picture of my dad's formerly stained and age-spotted Santa suit from the 1960's. I told Raymar Cleaners that it used to be my Dad's, and we've kept it in our family and used it every year in memory of him, despite it being in pretty bad shape. I told him do your best with the stains but don't worry since they've been there for a decades. I always thought it was too far gone to clean...I never even bothered. BUT YOU GUYS LOOK AT THIS SUIT!!!! It looks INCREDIBLE. When I went to pick it up he remembered my story and was proud to show it to me. Could anyone ask for more from their dry cleaner? I found the owners to be very professional... and experienced. I felt like their prices matched others who are not in a high rent district by the beach in Dana Point. Everything was finished on time, without any mistakes... not sure every Cleaners would be able to pull that off. I brought in about 10 cashmere sweaters and didn't find any new holes or burns. I can also vouch for their ability to care for a high quality down comforter and very delicate duvet cover. I'm genuinely impressed by how soft the duvet cover came back. read more

I would like to let everyone know that Ann and Steve have sold this business...New owner is NOT in any way savvy enough in customer service... I brought in 7 men's shirts to be starched and pressed Only, Other 5 shirts to be also Pressed only and 2 shirts to be Dry cleaned...I specifically separated each one so he would understand and yet needless to say he tried to charge me $111.86 for dry cleaning them all....of course after explaining it to him what he misunderstood and that it was his mistake and I shouldn't be paying $8.00 a shirt for dry cleaning, of course he started to get really obnoxious....he's also quite abrasive in mannerism...too bad, bc I won't be doing business there again, after 20 yrs of relationship w Ann. read more

Ragnar cleaners was very friendly, and my clothes were clean when I picked them up. However, the friendly service disappeared when they lost my last batch of clothing. They did not give me a dry cleaning ticket during the drop off, and when I didn't have a dry cleaning ticket I had no proof of a drop off. The owners were very unpleasant and dismissive. I lost $1000 worth of clothing and there is nothing I can do to recover the items. Please, make sure you have a ticket for your clothing drop off and pay attention to what you are dropping off. We will never return and will warn others of our experience. read more

I've been taking my clothes here for almost 4 years - Raymar does them right, does them fast, and does them for a fair price, all while trying their best to be more environmentally conscious (I'm not sure if that's possible but it helps me sleep at night). Not only do the clothes come back perfect, Ann and Steve are two of the kindest, hardest working people you'll meet. They remember you, and they always seem happy to see you. Yelped this place, researched it on different social media outlets and heard nothing but good things about it. It's local and I live and work nearby so I thought I'd try it out.Brought a uniform in to have dry cleaned. Owner said they do a lot of local LE uniforms and said it'd cost $ 6.25 a uniform to dry clean. When I picked it up she charged me $18?!?! I was shocked! I won't be doing business here anymorand will warn others based on my experience. And the Yelp response from the merchant was as to be expected. The price for the uniform as given at drop off was $6.25 and then the comment to justify the over charge at pick up was $6 per item. Whatever, you got me once and I've moved on and found a great, honest pricing dry cleaner in San Juan Capistrano. I normally don't post reviews on Yelp and I found this business through Yelp with great reviews. Unfortunately I had a bad experience and felt I should warn any future Yelp users. I am not one to ever leave a bad review but I'm mortified and saddened to say that I had an awful experience with my wedding dress. I actually came into just to steam my dress and opened bag to show her dress. I was talking to myself and said "oh there is a snag" and she came running in with scissors and cut my dress! Without asking! Then got a pinky size black mark on it from the dirty scissors. I stayed calm and kindly asked how we can resolve the issue and she just laughed as if it wasn't her fault. She said she can't because she would have to clean the ENTIRE dress and put harsh chemicals all over it. I nicely walked away and will never return again. I hope this review helps. read more
