I guess I've been lucky coming to this location seeing the previous reviews, not a lot of love with service apparently, but the few times I've been, it's been pretty stellar! The donuts here remind me of what my brother makes back in CA, he owns a few donut shops so it gives those vibes which is great when I want to grab a few things for my husband and the kids! They have the array of the usual stuff when you think of a donut shop and they also have sandwiches, kolaches as well! Prices are fair for your usual donut, parking is shared with other shops. We'll be back as my husband always craves their sandwiches haha!! read more

This place has the worst customer service. The older white male that works there is always rude and condescending. I guess my kids were taking too long to pick and he kept rolling his eyes and being rude to me. After I paid he threw the doughnuts on the counter and walked off. This place has amazing croissants wraps and kolaches. Better than any place I've been to. Highly recommend the ham/cheese jalapeño and the sausage/cheese jalapeño.the donuts are okay, not as good as crispy creme but not bad. I've been here at least 15 times now they only messed up my order once and got it fixed right away. Prices aren't super low but not bad. This place is for sure a little strange, literally the only place I've ever been to where they don't tell you your total price after taxes, for example, I order a croissant wrap they'll tell me at the window "your total is $3.80" and when I pull up to pay the actual total is $4.25. Some improvement, but still worth the extra time to go to the Boerne location. It has been over a year since I last visited this Snowflake location. As you can see from a prior review, it just went downhill and was worth it to take the extra time to go to Boerne. That said, today, after the time change last night, I was lazy so I decided to go back. I will say some of the donuts were better and actually had flavor. Unfortunately, that wasn't fully the case. The cinnamon roll was inedible. As you can see in the picture the cinnamon in just clumped on top and the one bite I took was so bad I couldn't even take another. I'm not sure who owns the Snowflake brand, but you would think, as a chain, they'd have some sort of quality control for consistency. That's obviously not the case. I seriously challenge the baker at this location to take some lessons from other locations (specifically the Boerne Main Street shop). I think this small step could make a positive difference in your ratings and overall success. read more

I have experienced slow service, wrong hours, unhealthy practices, unapologetic mistakes, and today they refused to serve my wife and children as the manager looked (annoyed) at the line of cars behind me. I am utterly disappointed in the service of the fair oaks location. I have been a customer for years and have never been treated the way I was today. At 5:00 AM I came into the store and looked around at the display. The manager came out and asked "what can I get for you" and I said I'll take a dozen mixed donuts. He then said it'll be a couple of minutes. I told him "okay no worries, but I'm sorry I have to go or I'm going to be late to a meeting, have a good day sir." He then proceeded to say they will only take a couple minutes, and then flicked the lights in the store off then on and said "so you think it works like that". I immediately felt uncomfortable with that gesture and comment. The last 15-20 times i've been to this location i've had my order and walked out the door before 5:03 AM. I strongly believe I told him nicely that I couldn't wait and was understanding that they were not ready to serve me. But if you're going to open at 5 AM, you should be ready to serve customers at that time or at least the bare minimum treat customers with respect or kindness. I'm always satisfied with the quality of the donuts and kolaches. My reason for 4 stars is that today is the third time I go and the employees are either not wearing gloves or a mask, especially in this pandemic time. Some had a mask on, but the drive thru attendant had neither a mask nor gloves. read more

We came at 9 am and they were out of EVERYTHING I ordered. If your shop is open until 1:30, then plan for it. This is not the first time they've ran out of items (kolaches, danish, and croissants.) They also had a huge attitude because I kept ordering things they were out of? Like I should expect a donut shop to be out of donuts? I used to be in the service industry (a bakery to be exact) and I know times get tough, but I also understand that your service keeps your customers. I'd rather change out of my PJs to drive to the one on Main Street in Boerne and WALK IN there because the service is better and they are better prepared. read more

This place has the best donuts in the area. It is also very convenient if you live in the Fair Oaks area. The cinnamon donut holes and sausage cheese kolaches are the best. They have many different varieties and it every 20 minutes or so new donuts appear, some still hot. read more

Thought it was our lucky day because the "open" sign was on. But, at 1045 on a Saturday morning, they had six donuts left and they were quite happy about it. At 1105 they were closed for the day. I get the feeling they just don't care. There were at least 10 groups of hopeful but disappointed customers after us so clearly there is a market. Other donut shops figure out an inventory strategy, why can't they?? How do they expect to stick around with such poor business practices and inconsistent hours? Isn't the place to go for early morning donuts. Often aren't open when their hours say they should be, and have a minimal selection when they do open. Might be better later in the morning, but you you should have a backup plan just in case. read more

I frequent this snowflake doughnut location. The donuts are great. However, I agree with other reviewer's that the staff does seem overly excited when they are almost sold out of several items (if not everything) a few hours after opening. The hours listed on the store do not reflect when they will actually be open which shows a lack of respect for customers time in my honest opinion. If you are planning on ordering a filled doughnut have the staff member actually write your request down since both my husband and I have experienced about a 50/50 chance of getting what you actually ask for. Just this morning my husband requested a chocolate filled doughnut and received a Bavarian cream instead which neither of us care for. As the server so eloquently told me as I pulled up to read the menu and place my order, "Keep in mind there's a line behind you wrapped around the building." To which my reply was, "Yes, I am aware, since I've been waiting for a while in that line." Overwhelmed by his rudeness and no longer interested in looking at the menu, I left. I figure the best thing I can do for them at this point is help alleviate the length of that line anyway. Kind sir, I drove up from San Antonio to try your donuts. Your menu should be placed somewhere further back. You should have consideration enough to know that people might want to look at the menu first.
