It was refreshing, flavorful, and honestly I wish I had time for another. Next time? I'm definitely doubling up... and if they have drink flights, it's over for me. For food, I had the Denver omelette. Solid, classic, no complaints--it did exactly what it needed to do. But let's be very clear... the REAL star of the show was the sweet potato pancakes. Listen. Staple brunch spot. Food was really good. We got there early though, around 9am and they were already out of a lot of stuff and there wasn't many people there. That was a bit of a bummer but I did the Pancake Flight, my daughter has the OMG French Toast (must have imo), one friend had the corn hash, and his son had the Bella Bella Benny and there Belly Habenero. This being my 5th Snooze location visit spanning across multiple Texas cities, I'm starting to think that I've unofficially become the quality control for Snooze...well atleast for two items, the Bravacado toast & the pancake flight. Although the company removed one of my favorite guilty pleasures, the blueberry danish pancakes, brunch here is still one of my favorites. The bravavado toast is appropriately named as it's not your average avocado toast. The mix of red onion honey jam combined with mashed avocado, roasted tomato and more is a must try. The dish is balanced with a vinegary, Dijon mustard vinaigrette salad on the side. We did have a slight issue when they arrived, but the crew used it as an opportunity to show their A1 customer service. If you've yet to try their pancakes, know they're usually the main character. The one I received today was a little eggier than I remember in the past, but clearly not too much so considering I engulfed the entire thing. Went here for breakfast on Saturday and had a great time! My gripe with most brunch/ breakfast places is that the dishes that they offer just feel like things that I could make at home or are like any other breakfast places, but I appreciate that at snooze they have really unique dishes. I got the Juan's breakfast tacos with habanero pork belly and my friend got the half and half benny with the Bella Bella benny and the habanero pork benny. We also got the lavender latte and the honey oat latte to try. The Juan's breakfast tacos are my favorite to order because they are super filling and worth the price. I just wish they came with a protein but adding one is just $2 extra. I really like the green salsa they use and how they incorporate the hashbrows into the taco. (7.5/10) The half and half benny were also really good. The habanero pork belly and the jam was super tasty. The bella Bella benny was also good and a nice and lighter contrast to the habanero pork benny. I liked how you can combine two different Benedict dishes to have a tasty of each one. (7.5/10) The honey oat latte was good as well. I personally am not the biggest oat milk fan but my friend who loved oat milk was very pleased with the flavor. (6/10) The lavender latte was really good. I liked how there was a hint of sweetness and a good balance between the lavender and coffee flavor. The latte was creamy and very comparable to lavender lattes I've tried at some of my favorite cafes. (7.5/10) The staff was super nice and attentive. The parking is easy and in a shopping strip so there is plenty of lots and spaces around. You can also get in line or check the wait on Yelp before coming which is nice. When I went Saturday Morningwith a friend there was quite a wait 25 min but luckily they use Yelp to tell you what place in line you are in & it notifies you when you are next. Which I very much appreciate! The decor gives 50's diner with a modern twist! The seating is so comfortable. We sat in one of the half booths but I really want to try the circular table with these cool couches that wrap around. For brunch I got the spuds & eggs dish which is a tower of fried hash mixed with the 2 enhancers you get to pick & topped with eggs whatever style you prefer. I think this is the second or third time I've been to this snooze location. Overall I enjoy the food here, some dishes are better than others depending what you pick. Today it was the habanero pork belly eggs benedict. This was the first menu item that caught my eye, but I wasn't sure about it so I was looking over the menu while my breakfast companion had already ordered. Feeling the pressure, I announced that I was thinking about ordering it, and both my friend and the server suggested it was a good choice. Happily they did not steer me wrong. While the side of hash browns on the side was a little bland, cutting up the Benny and mixing in the hash browns with it made a great combination. What really could have taken this meal over the edge though would have been some sort of sauce on the hash browns. read more

Food was okay, I got the snooze classic with over easy eggs, bacon, and white toast. My friend got an eggs benedict. It honestly was just normal breakfast food you would get at any breakfast or brunch place, nothing special. It was a bit greasy but that's kind of expected. I wish I got pancakes or any speciality pancakes but I wasn't craving anything sweet at the moment. Service was good, we had to wait 40 min to be seated but we went Sunday at noon so it was expected. We actually got taken off the waitlist because we took too long to walk back to the restaurant but the hostess was super kind and let us get seated anyways. Our waitress was nice and attentive despite the rush and the crowd which was great. A bit busy and loud when we went but that's just what happens when you go at peak hours. The place itself is super colorful and the outdoor area is cute. Cause we saw her" after that the other bartender walked up, she didn't greet us either until after she heard me say "she's going to ignore us too" she then stopped and spoke and said someone will be with you in a moment.. my friend then said "oh we just want to pick up an order" she looked at the order sitting right next to us and said "oh here you go" The food was good, but my egg wasn't over hard as requested. After 6 years of living in Houston, I finally got around to trying Snooze! Their City Centre location is cute and retro, and the staff were all very friendly. When we came at 1:30pm on a Friday, these was no wait at all. My partner and I ordered the Pancake Flight and the Barbacoa Chile Verde Benny, both to share. The pancakes were good; I especially enjoyed the Cinnamon Roll one. However, it did find them to be a bit too heavy--I felt pretty gross after finishing my half of the flight. Some people may enjoy the very sweet and syrupy pancakes, but I prefer mine more mild. The Chile Verde Benny, however, was delicious. All components of it--the hasbrowns, the egg, the barbacoa, the pico de gallo--were all so delicious and worked incredibly well together. I would definitely get that dish again. Celebrated my friend's birthday this past weekend, the staff was very friendly and was able to accommodate our party of 11 in a very timely manner. Some of us were sat in a booth and a few minutes later moved to the roundtable that was next to our friends when other guests left. I wish I would have gotten our waitresses name because she was amazing!!!! She was very patient when some of us had questions about the menu, she got all of our orders right and everything came out super fast. The restaurant was super busy the whole time we were there. I would definitely suggest you make a reservation. The food was delicious and everything was super clean and organized. We got a completely pancake while we waited for our food. I'd heard such good things about this place that it was going to be one of the locations my wife and I ate at following our wedding but before we left on our honeymoon. Unfortunately, that plan never came to pass, but we've still made several trips here and had a great experience every time. The place gets crowded, and there's usually a wait regardless of the day you come by, unless you're willing to sit on the patio. Given the limited overhead coverage and the fact that Houston will slow broil you in the time it takes to have brunch, we always opt to eat inside. I love their eggs benedict options. They have a variety of styles that it comes in. I've had it in a southwestern style, a classic style, and this weird upscale style with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Every which way it was delicious. I normally go for basic coffee, which sometimes comes out too acidic, but my wife prefers the lavender latte, which she enjoys so much that she will ALWAYS order it whenever we're here. The only reason we don't come here regularly anymore is that one opened much closer to where we live, but even then, this location just seems to be better run than the one by our place. read more

It's forever loud and packed here. My cousin and I decided to split the flight, sweet potato with candied pecans, pineapple upside down, and blueberry danish. All three were good but my fav will always be the sweet potato. Fluffy even with the added toppings. I tried the crab cake Benedict for the first time and it was divine! The Parmesan crust of the muffin, the fully loaded and flavorful crab cake topped by a perfectly poached egg. The drizzle of pesto was just the right accent to the hollandaise. My cousin's hash was tasty as well. My only complaint would be that the booth seating is seriously worn and needs an update. I was wearing jeans but I'd worry about wearing a more delicate fabric. We joined the waitlist at 10:40am and we were in 1st place at 11:45. Yelp app said no need to check in with the host. I confirmed the party through text as soon as we were in 1st place and drove to the place (we live in the neighborhood across the street from the Town & Country - a 2 min drive). We sat in the car and decided we were only going to go in once we get the text that the table is ready. Tell me why, it's already 12:06pm, and we still have not gotten a text even though we see a lot of people have left the restaurant already. We decided to just go in and see what is going on. We got inside to let them know we have been waiting a long time to get the table is ready text. The two ladies (yellow and red shirt) at the front stated "oh we have not sent it because you have not checked in at the front". I explained to them that the app said no need to check in and she said "Yeah, no you do need to check in. But we'll send you a text as soon as the next table is ready", so I just smiled and agreed. I did notice them giggling, especially the one on the right wearing a red shirt, to themselves as we were walking outside to wait. I found out why a couple seconds later :) I received a text saying "Please proceed to the front desk to check-in." Wow! Service was good; I was told "there is always a wait" but they seated us within the time window. Server was nice and helpful but as I mentioned the menu was not my thing. Snooze is one of the leading family brunch spots around town. I personally prefer it to "First Watch" since it gives off a brighter vibe and more up tempto personality to its faculty. Wait staff is always ontop of your needs and food comes out at appropriate times. Ordering a coffee is pretty much giving you an entire pitcher full of coffee. Although the amount of coffee is "all you can drink" the flavor of the coffee is nothing more than what I like to call " cigarette water" I ordered the 3 egg scramble and it was scrumptious and full of protein, the hashbrowns that come with it is absolutely amazing as there was some sort of crisp/flavor with it that hit home.
