Travis is a true master. Had my 2017 WRX CVT tuned here and it's been a dream. Noticed my car was a bit sluggish off the line after tune. He will ask you for 2 logs, which he will use to revise your tune for altitude difference. FYI Auburn is 1227' above sea level. With the revision, car drives super smooth now. Tune is perfect. Car drives better than ever before and the throttle response is amazing! He responds quick. Customer service is superb. If you're looking for a tune in Northern Cali look no further. By far the best place to go to if you want to get your car tuned. Travis is very knowledgeable and answers every question and concern. I have a 2015 wrx that I bought in to him for a pro tune. The process was very smooth and efficient. Travis was very helpful in setting an appointment, and the process I need to do before getting the car tuned. Travis is very friendly, while his replies are prompt and very straightforward. I did a lot of research on my own in regards to flex fuel for the 2015 WRX, but Travis really makes it dummy proof. He first tuned my car for reliability, then offered to continue tuning for more power until I was satisfied. I opted to stick with Travis' initial tune. I drove out about 2 hrs from San Francisco, but it was definitely worth the drive. Can't be any more pleased with all of the customer support and advice I was given throughout the process. Travis is extremely knowledgeable and quick to respond to calls and emails. We had an issue with the car the first day (my fault) and he worked through it with me and got my car running great. Excellent tune by Travis today. My car had a tune from another shop and it just never ran right and i wasn't happy. After talking to Travis a couple times he had determined the problem was the manual boost controller and he recommended it be changed to a electronic boost controller. I was referred to Snail performance by my friend Patrick Howard, Who had recently gotten his 2016 STI tuned by Travis at snail performance. After a month of Patrick bragging and telling me how great his car had been running after he got tuned... I had to make a trip down there myself and see what all the hype is about. Everyone there at Snail performance, from the mechanics, to the tuner, and even the front desk people, were very friendly, helpful, and considerate. I showed up to the shop an hour early... And they still took my car in to get my fuel pump put in. And just like I was told that my appointment would be at 10:45... My car was up on the mustang Dino only 15 minutes later. Not only does Travis the tuner do a great job at what he does tuning cars... But he also has the hospitality to sit down and talk to you about what is going on with your car, and explains everything. Very knowledgeable man. I have a 2015 STI... custom straight piped, catless downpipe, Cobb AP V3, and the Cobb sf intake. I made 290WHP and 335 Torque on the dino. But most important, it was tuned safely by Travis! No over boosting, or anything unsafe that will damage your car. The man knows what he's doing. After the tune was done... Patrick and I asked if we could sit down with Travis and Tony, who is the head builded, to talk about a build sheet for Patrick's 2016 STI, that he wants to make 500 wheel horsepower with. Travis and Tony took their time and said down with us and explained everything and told us all the parts that we need to get and how long it would take. And also explained the pros and cons of having these parts in making that much power. This just goes to show that they do care not only about the job they do, but their customers as well. After I got my car tuned in California... I drove back down to Reno in the next day I did my data log's, So Travis can send me the revisions for the altitude change. Travis got them done very quickly and replied in a short amount of time and now my car cannot be any happier and neither could I.
