NEW ACTUAL GREAT HONEST MECHANIC HERE)…read more The registration and smog is due on my 2004 Mazda next week (i know it's old but with minivan prices today, i know what i have and don't want to give it up that easily), but with the check engine light BLINKING+ other problems I knew no way I would get smog passed. I called around a few places (some others I found on yelp with promising reviews), but they were booked until the next week, and registration being due in a few days, I decided to drive down Elk Grove Blvd a little bit more and I saw the Complete Performance sign nestled next to a gas station in Old Town Elk Grove. I parked and who would be Ben came out right away and asked me how he could help. I told him everything wrong (flashing check engine light, rough idling, jerky transmission, oil burning smell). He walked me into the office, took my info and said he's get on it RIGHT AWAY! I wasn't sold yet and was thinking about just getting his diagnosis then moving on and trying again with another mechanic, but once I gave him the keys (and getting ready to call an uber to get back home about a mile away) , he said "do you need a ride home?" That's when I was like okay, wow I'm going with this guy, he does have some hospitality and availability. Quite the rarity! He called me a few hours later and mentioned I had bad spark plugs and a bad intake boot (and one other thing I don't remember). I remember seeing his labor rate on the wall in the office and I even ended up calling around and was relieved that his rate was the market rate (California is generally just high with this). Also, He would be DONE by end of business tomorrow (a 1 day turnaround was music to my ears right now!) which means I could get this registered and passed for smog before the registration expires. After initial estimate, I was worried, not because I thought it was high (because I knew the other labor rates in the area would cost me the same for labor+parts), but because the car was so old. I wanted to give up on this car and just file for planned non operation. He stopped, listened and worked out a deal with me that would include a guaranteed smog pass after repairs were made + a warranty so I would be covered for these issues in the future. I said okay and made the deal with him. He identified another issue with my fuel injector later on and called me The irony is that I didn't even see the bad reviews on here which were from years ago by an older mechanic. There was no way that these could be about Ben, who's the new guy in town here) and sure enough, that is the exact case. Ben is unfortunately having to work against 4+ year old reviews about some other guy named Bobby and that's not fair. I'm here to set the record straight and give the 5 stars he truly deserves. Thank you for everything Ben, I now have a couple more years at least before I need to buy a new $50,000+ minivan for my family.

There is absolutely zero overspray anywhere--every edge, body line, bolt, and trim piece was masked perfectly. It honestly looks like it came from the factory this way. The texture is uniform throughout the entire bed, coverage is flawless, and every corner and hard-to-reach area was sprayed evenly. Josh clearly takes pride in his work and doesn't rush the job. I had my mother-in-law's 2017 Audi Q7 brought in for front brake and caliper replacement, as well as a full diagnostic to determine other necessary servicing. I was shocked when the owner tried to rip us off simply because we dressed up nicely. He assumed we had a lot of money. We informed him that the brakes needed replacement because the vehicle shook and vibrated badly when we braked on the highway. He falsely diagnosed the issue and claimed that the entire front suspension of the Audi needed to be replaced, with an estimate cost of almost $8,000. This garage was incredibly slow and took them all day to provide me with a quote on the necessary services. We were so frustrated that we walked out and went to a different garage. They listened to our concerns about the front suspension replacement and examined the vehicle. They determined that the front suspension was fine and that only the front brakes and calipers needed to be replaced. We paid the new shop $1,200, and the issue was resolved. The vehicle no longer shook or vibrated, and it drove very smoothly. The price difference between the two garages was staggering--$1,200 compared to $8,000. I strongly advise against taking your luxury vehicles to this garage. They lack the ability to test vehicles and are not loyal to their customers.

Fortunately the car stopped about 20 feet from Morris Motors. My wife was really upset, but we felt lucky her car stopped so close to a repair shop. I spoke with Sutton Morris and he told me to park the car in front so he could take a look at the car. Sutton's shop is full of magnificent cars. The shop specializes in European makes and classic cars. Inside, I saw not only repairs being done, but also total restorations. When Sutton spoke about cars, you knew he knows his craft. I really appreciated his kind demeanor and professional bearing. I love older cars, so learning more from Sutton was an added satisfaction. I travel this road all the time and have never stopped to check out the cars in the shop. This was a serendipitous time for me. We not only got my wife's brakes fixed at a reasonable price, but the repairs were nothing less than awesome. He and his staff completed the repair before we returned around 4:30 pm. I'll be stopping by just to say hello once in awhile, now that I know the shop is more than I expected. Thank you so much Sutton! My wife says she is so grateful to you and your staff.
