I thought I had a rear seal leek on my 1969 C10 and was expecting a price of somewhere between $700 and $850 to repair. But when I returned it was a easier front seal and the price was only $270. I had a knocking sound, and my knock sensor was going off. I gave up and took it to Lapp Automotive and they were able to diagnose the problem with ease - Turned out I ran out of oil! They provided me with a very reasonable quote for the labor and materials. I was more than happy to pay for such great service. Will be returning! read more

Brought my car to have the clutch replaced, my timing belt replaced, and my AC fixed. About $1600 before tax (I supplied parts for the timing belt and the clutch). It took about 2-3 business days and I got my car back. The car was running, however, the A/C was still not working, my previously working cruise control no longer works, and my steering column was broken (the switch for windshield wipers coming off the steering wheel). I proceeded to bring the car back and inform Karen and Greg (employee and owner) and they confirmed that they would take the car in. The next day, Karen gave me a call and told me they won't fix anything and attempted to promptly silence any more concerns I had. This call became extremely disrespectful and it was some of the worst customer services I've experienced. The previous day, they had no problem telling me in person that they would fix what they broke. It cost me $100 in parts + labor to have my AC fixed at this shop, now I have no way to get my money back and I have to commute with broken AC, no cruise control, and a broken steering column. But if it wasn't for the terrible phone call I had received, this review wouldn't exist. I would not recommend this location AT ALL under any circumstances, they overcharge, take no responsibility, and have very emotionally unstable customer service. read more

My mother took her car here when her alternator died on the freeway. This couldn't have happened at a worse time because she was on the way to the hospital for my dad that just had a heart attack. NOT ONLY did they rush the service so her car was done in ONE day but they also dropped the car off to her house the next morning. I am sad that we do not live anywhere near Galt so we could bring all of our vehicles to these kind and honest people. We were traveling and a very long way from home. Our giant, dual wheel Dodge truck, the blinker went out and on a freeway, that can be dangerous. We saw Lapp Automotive and pulled in. They could have gouged us on the price to change this bulb and we would have paid it, being in a serious situation. They did not. The owners stopped what they were doing, brought over the mechanic and he quickly replaced it. And they charged us only $10. There should be more people and businesses like them in our country.
