They say 15 min oil change but are under staffed and it's 1 to 2 hour wait to even begin, today it look like a 1 man show unreal

Well went about 930 this am & lady informed me that they only had 1 person working & that wait time would be 1.5 hours. She recommended i leave & come back in 1 hrs cuz they had 4 additional employees coming in by then. I come back about 1hr 20mins later. Guy comes over tells me they have 2 check in the lady infront of me & I'll be next. He asked 2 wait with car 30 minutes lady has been long checked in & employees walking around appearing 2 do nothing. No cars had moved. I left I have time for this bullshit! They were polite and the wait wasn't bad. Although, while I was waiting I watched a tech from my car airing up tires while on their cell phone. Went to grab lunch while they did an oil change and I requested a tire rotation... but they told me it wasn't necessary and we agreed not to do it. Upon looking back, they just didn't want to do it. I've driven these tires for 12k miles without rotating so hard to believe it wasn't necessary. Got a call the car was almost done, my coolant was low so $5 for a top off. Agreed to having that done, got there and my coolant was low! They had to fill it in front of us. The cherry on top, my car was overfilled with oil by about a quart (small car, 1.6l engine). They told us "if it's up on the metal of the dipstick it's a problem but because it wasn't that high it should be fine. Bring it back if you have any problems". I've had decent experiences here before but this was so bad I'll be doing my oil changes at home from now on. I thought I was paying for convenience and this wasn't very convenient. read more

I went in for an oil change. They failed to attach my skid plate properly. I was leaving on trip to So. Cal, half way there I heard a noise, pull over and see it hanging under the car! Went to a local Jiffy Lube, in repairable. The Galt store ended up replacing it, but barely made it 8 miles down the road till I heard a noise, pulled over and found it hanging again! Went to another Jiffy, it was missing several screws. So dangerous for other drivers on the road if it came off. Don't go here!! read more

This place is gone downhill. I'm surprised to see that they have any good reviews. The last three times I attempted to go there to get my oil changed on my Volvo has been uneventful. They either don't have the oil or the filter to provide the service on the cars. Nor are they able to reset the oil change lights, they always have to look it up on YouTube and sometimes that's hit or miss. you think they would know how to do that. Most importantly, I got there today at 7:30 where 4 people were there ahead of me. I sat in my car and waited for them to finish three oil changes which took 40 minutes to complete before they ever even acknowledged me and when they did, it was to tell me they did not have the supplies necessary to perform my oil change this place is ridiculous. read more

I took my car to this location this morning. The customer service side of things were great however, my only complaint is that there were notes on the receipt related to 'Engine Oil Leaks' that was not reviewed with me upon paying for the services. Upon calling to follow up and get more information, I was recommended to take the car to have the engine oil leak repaired and unfortunately, do not know to what extent the engine is leaking. It is a bit disappointing as the staff here was amazing and I was able to get an oil change and tune up relatively quickly this morning, however, it is frustrating that I will need to find another location to address the engine leak issue. Best advice, be incredibly specific with requests you would like for you car to be serviced here. read more

I called yesterday morning inquiring when my last oil change was since the window sticker had faded. I I was told they were TOO BUSY to look at the computer and to call back later. Today I arrived at 4:18pm - 2 of the 3 bays had a single car. I asked for an oil change and the guy said "we're not taking anymore cars today". I replied with but you don't close for over an hour and you have an empty bay? His reply was "can't you come any earlier In the day?!?!" We are a family of 4 cars that have been coming here for years. Not sure what's changed at this location but we just made an online appt with a competitor. Never going back. You may want to update your business hours to reflect 4:30pm close so this doesn't continue to happen to others. read more

Been a Jiffy Lube customer for over 15 years, always get the great service I expect from the location here in Galt. Very courteous, gives me my options for oil, offer ice cold water and hold the door open for me to enter the lobby. I told myself last time I came here that I would never come back because it was the same issues. I only came back because I needed my oil changed before an 8 hour drive tomorrow. My seat was left dirty (AGAIN). They always say they clean your windows and vacuum. A few years ago that was true. I don't ask that they do these things, however they lie and tell you that they did. My oil light had come on a couple days ago and I have been racing the clock the past couple days to make it to Galt to get my oil changed. Today (Nov28) I had made it to Jiffy Lube at 5:55pm (right before closing) and simply asked Rav to check my oil to make sure I was safe to drive and that I would be back in the morning. To my surprise, the boys insisted that they change my oil and help me out! They were very nice, gave EXCELLENT customer support and I could tell they had been working hard all day! Thank you for taking the time to help me out. I have been coming to the Galt Jiffy Lube for a couple years now and am always pleased with the service. This is just another example. Just had a terrible experience at this Jiffy Lube. After taking an hour to work on my car the tech informed me that he couldn't perform the oil change because he had stripped off the oil pan plug. I was then told I had to take it to it to a mechanic and have them get the drain plug off and do the oil change. I am extremely disappointed in their service and have been going to this one for many years. Usually I get great service there. Not any more they have lost my business. Thanks for nothing read more

This place is very disappointing. Their estimated wait time and performance time was way off. I've had my oil changed at this jiffy lube in Galt two times in 7 years and both times my gravel shield fell off a day or two later commuting to work. I'm not sure what's so difficult, but for what this place charges you'd think they would be able to tighten down some bolts. Never again will I bring my vehicle to a Jiffy Lube again. read more

I would highly recommend you take your car else where. This is the second time I've tried to get an oil change and this place and it's been exhausting. First time I was told to drop my car off and either wait two hours or get a ride and come pick it up. So I arranged a ride and an hour later they call me saying they don't even have my correct oil for my car.. and why they didn't know that before hand I'm not sure?. So then they said come back three days later and check to see if they got it in stock. No thanks. So I took it to the Lexus dealership which in fact did the oil change for $20 cheaper. Oh and I waited a total of 40 mins.. this next time I called to see if they had my oil in stock three months later. And the guy on the phone told me he couldn't tell me if my oil was in stock by my cars make,model and year.. since when?. They wanted me to drive it back in to what?. Tell me they don't have it?. He then put me on hold for 15 mins to find out what oil my car took when I already new what type it was I just wanted to ask if they had it!. This place is sloppy bottom line and for the price they really shouldn't be. Get it together or just don't be in business one of the two. read more

Super disappointed to have to update this bcus I had thought the employees seemed so kind and professional but it was deceptive. I experienced my oil leaking after I went to get it "changed" here. After getting my car checked for a leak at a mechanic, they determined it hadn't been changed at all and was somehow improperly resealed. So now I have damage to repair that they caused and about $90 wasted at this location for an oil change they didn't perform. read more

They don't take the shield off when they change oil filters causing it to drop onto the shield also they can't tighten the filter enough when not removing shield. I took the car back stating I smell burning oil they said I have a power steering leak, took to my mechanic to find out jiffy lube again created a problem and wrongfully diagnosed it. The manager Lawrence E. came to me and said that the dip stick broke, he was holding the part, he said that "this is very common with this make of vehicle" I said "Really?" i've had this make of vehicle for 15 years. hmm. he said that they will replace for free, i would hope so...he said that he would have to order part if not in stock will order I asked "from dealer?" He said "Yes" . should be later that day or next day. Next day.. no call.. I called late am. He was at lunch.I left message.I never did rec a call from Manager LAWRENCE e. I then called 2 dealers asked how common? both said not very, I asked if they had part in stock yes..2. My husband then stopped in Lawrence proceeded to tell him that the item was on back order that would not be in for 3 days. caught him in lie #2. informed him that we called dealership and that they had 2 on the shelf, We insisted that they go and get it and install by 4 pm that day. I woke up this morning anticipating spending a decent chunk of my morning at Jiffy Lube so I stopped and got a coffee beforehand... The gentleman helping me (I didn't catch his name) was very helpful, and informative... he told me I'd be out of there within ten minutes and truth be told, it felt like less than that! I've been going here for a few years and have been happy. Things have drastically changed. I've given service plenty of time to straighten out with all the staff changes but it just gets worse. Car hasn't been vacuumed for the past 4+ visits. Today ~ customer service was at it's worst ever!!! I decided to say something. At the service counter as you check out, they tell you windows cleaned, vacuumed etc... none of that was done. When I brought it to their attention, Lawrence rolled his eyes and seemed irritated I would say something. I also now have a ding on my door, I know for a fact wasn't there prior to my visit as I had just washed my car. If you are going to tell me you completed certain tasks which I can clearly see you did not then I have to worry... did you actually do the things I was charged for that I can not view by opening my door.?!? I usually come to this location for my oil changes. I came religiously for my 2005 vw bug and got the oil they recommended every time and it was always over 100 when I walked out but I didn't mind as that car was my baby. Today I come in and, I'm assuming the new guy, is not personable at all, recommends yet another high priced oil. This is not what I'm upset about, he was rude from the get-go and was not customer service oriented. I will not be coming back to this location with my vehicles again. He assumed that because I wanted the cheap oil that I wouldn't want my filter replaced or cleaned and made a rude remark when making this fact known. I would have given them a 0 out of 5 starts but it's not an option on this site. If you're not a good "face of the company" maybe you shouldn't be dealing directly with the clients that drive your business. read more

I went to this Jiffy Lube about two weeks ago and asked if they were still doing the essential workers/healthcare workers discount of 50% off, when I spoke to the manager he said yes and I showed him my badge from my work which clearly showed me as a healthcare professional with my picture and title on the badge. He asked for an email for proof on top of that, no where on Jiffy Lube's website did they state they required an email for this. He failed to give me the discount and said he would "hook me up" with 20% off instead. On top of that, one of the technicians working on my car yelled while he was under my hood. I asked the manager what happened and he told me the technician opened a wrong valve and sprayed water in his face but everything was fine. I put up with them treating me rudely and not offering the discount but when I got home my car smelled like burning rubber under the hood. I immediately called my mechanic and took it to him, upon opening my hood he told me there was coolant and oil sprayed EVERYWHERE inside my hood. The manager lied to me, it was not water the technician sprayed everywhere (which I had to pay my mechanic to clean since Jiffy Lube couldn't do it, or even own up to their mistake). I will never go here again. The manager did not treat me right or handle my situation properly. Very disappointed in customer service and have lost trust in this business. Can not believe the manager is in the position he's in either. Upper management needs to re-examine their choices. read more

I took my car into jiffy lube the other day, and I get it back with the dodge emblem popped off my steering wheel. And then my fluids aren't topped off. They didn't vacuum my car like they said. The guy told me he would call me back, and the next day comes and I never received a call. Then they were closed for the day, so I call today pissed off and he tells me I might have had a leak so they didn't top it of , well someone should tell me that stuff .
