I had it towed to the shop at 1pm and met with the owner (Kassi) and he diagnosed the probable causes, located a couple parts to have them on hand before last delivery time of the day to make sure we had all options covered. He called to confirm pricing, and then had the car ready with both alternator, battery, and other items replaced and serviced and ready for me all before 5pm. Amazing job in 4-hours, from arrival to pick-up, to sourcing the parts, to installation! I was back on the road driving back to Southern California with my car running great. TL;DR Version: Great service, got me in quickly, and reasonably priced, and they have R-1234yf Freon! As the summer started kicking I realized my A/C was not kicking in. Trying to find a place to do a recharge turned out to be a way more difficult request than I could have ever imagined. Most places advertising they offer this service don't, and if they apparently there is a new Freon type which my car apparently takes (Jaguar) that they don't carry. After 2 days and calling at least 100 places I found Valley Auto Repair. They got me an appointment within an hour of my call, recharged my AC and had me all ready just in time for the road-trip I was about to take. I wish I would have started with them to begin with! Now that I know, I will definitely be returning in the future the next time I need a service or repair. read more

There was one time that a service did take longer than expected. They were completely transparent throughout the whole process and very apologetic. Ive been here twice in the last two weeks. One for a smog check + cert and one to change my license plates. Both services have been amazing. Smog check was only about 30 mins since there was someone in front of me. Service was friendly and entire thing was $40 even. The following week I got new license plates and was changing the screws. Back plate had really rusty screws I couldn't loosen so I went to them and it took about 5-10 mins and they didn't charge me a thing! I tipped them though bc the service was still great. So came here on when I failed my first smog inspection and needed a place that was quick and honest in price. Well I found it and will be returning to Valley Auto Repair when I need my breaks and oil changed done. If your going to oil stop now by misters car wash. Save your money they charge 109.99 for a synthetic oil change and Valley only charges 70 bucks out the door for the exact same oil change. Also my hood release was having issues with the spring and they fixed it no charge. This is why I like locally owned businesses in Lodi and prefer places that are not a dealership, Midas or pep boys. Keep up the great work fellows and I will be back. Word of advice they don't do appointments show up the first thing in the morning and you will be taken care of first. I came in to have my battery tested, I was told it's fine but there is corrosion on it . I was then changed $45 to to clean it and for testing the battery! Baking soda and vinegar would've done the same job. That would've run me about $6 . I really think he saw a woman alone and over charged the hell out of me. Pretty sad ! Was my go to place previously but I have noticed a change in service lately. I believe I saw a comment somewhere that ownership changed which if it did is likely the change in service. Lately when take one of the cars in it comes out with another problem. Last experience I will not be back. I had issues with car cutting out took it in paid the diagnostic fee they cleaned intake out then ready to go. Was pleased then all of a sudden next day not even 10 miles or 24 hrs pass I'm sitting at idle and my car temp all the way to hot. I take back immediately, then they tell me I need to pay diagnostics again and it's the fan. Then tell me they will waive the diagnosis fee if it's the fan but if fuse I pay. Well it was the fan but charged me diagnosis and now my hood does not pop anymore and got this problem after they had the car again. No longer a trust worthy shop read more
