BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!! fast forward 2 months & while doing a tire rotation at home i noticed a deep groove in one of the front rotors. i took it back to elk grove tire & wheel & their best guess was that something from the road got stuck in between the pad & the rotor. even though it was of no fault to them or their shop -- they replaced both sets of pads & rotors again since a deep groove in a rotor that's only 2 months old isn't something they want their customers to have to deal with. i won't bring my vehicles anywhere else but here for anything wheel/tire related from here on out. i'm blown away and grateful. thank guys for standing behind your work!! that goes such a long way!!

I unknowingly got a nail in my tire and they were kind enough to repair it for free as well check out my other tires to ensure they were safe. It was great that they did so since my rear passenger tire had a small screw in it. Parking is easy to find in their large parking lot. There's plentiful seating in their lobby and if you're hungry or thirsty, there's several neighboring places you can quickly grab something from. The lobby and restrooms were clean and well maintained. The employees worked efficiently, hard, and safely. Everyone was polite and professional. I was very happy that both were repairable and it was a pleasant bonus and surprise that they fixed everything in a very timely fashion. I'll definitely consider them when I'm in the market for tires since their prices seem to be pretty competitive. Thank you for your kind and empathetic service with a smile and your knowledge and professionalism. It was greatly appreciated on a long and stressful day.

Quickly closing in on two years of ownership, the honeymoon phase with my car has not worn off. My…read moreonly complaint is the run-flat performance tires that create a fairly rough ride. As fate would have it, I took the car to the dealership for a recall and they discovered that one of the tires had a small bubble. I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate almost two years with the car by treating her to some new tires. I reached out to Chris who quoted me $1,200 (including manufacture warranty) for four thick profiled performance tires, which was $1,300 cheaper than the quote that I received from the dealer. Chris quickly placed the order for the tires and called me the next day to inform me that they had arrived. Since the establishment is generally very busy on the weekends, I decided to visit on a weekday in hopes for a quicker experience. Thankfully, there was only one car ahead of me when I arrived. Chris instructed me to pull the car into the shop and immediately began removing the tires (I'm always impressed by a hands-on owner). Less than 30 minutes later, the job was done and I was in the office checking out. As Chris implied, I can confirm that the ride quality of my car has significantly improved. I have been a customer for seven years and have referred many friends and family to the shop. If you're looking for competitive prices and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend visiting South West Tire Shop!

I'm very disappointed with how Chris, the General Manager at the Elk Grove Les Schwab, handled my…read moreongoing brake warranty issue. I paid nearly $800 for brake work in March, and the brakes continued squeaking afterward. I brought the car back in August, allowed them to clean, lubricate, and "de-squeak" the brakes, and the noise returned almost immediately. I also have multiple dated videos documenting the problem. When I returned again, Chris was dismissive and argumentative when I asked what would happen if they could not reproduce an intermittent noise during the visit. I repeatedly asked how many times I might have to keep bringing the car back before another warranty remedy was considered. His response was essentially that they have to reproduce and isolate the noise to know what to fix. He never gave me a clear answer about what happens if the noise cannot be reproduced on demand. I also asked Chris for contact information for someone above him in case the issue remained unresolved, and he did not provide it. I later called the store and Desire immediately gave me the information and was very kind and empathetic. Zach was also professional, helpful, and understanding throughout the process. The communication later that day was also poor. Chris called me around 2:39 p.m. only to say that my car was next in the queue to be looked at. I received no further update about what they found, what they decided to repair, or when my car would be ready. As closing time approached, I had to call the store myself just to find out what was happening. That was when I learned from Zach that the front brake pads were being replaced. At pickup, Chris explained that they had not been able to reproduce the noise, but he decided to replace the front pads based partly on the video I showed him. This was confusing because earlier that same morning he had told me he could not determine where the noise was coming from based on the video and that they would have to reproduce it to isolate the problem. I also addressed the lack of communication, and Chris said I should have received a call from other employees, even though I had been told that the decisions regarding my vehicle were going through him. My complaint is specifically about Chris and how he handled the situation, not the entire staff. Desire and Zach were both kind, professional, and helpful. I understand that a shop needs to diagnose a mechanical problem before deciding what to replace. What I do not accept is poor communication, unanswered questions, and being left without a clear explanation of what happens if an intermittent warranty problem continues. A General Manager should be able to clearly explain the process, communicate repair decisions, provide escalation information when requested, and treat a customer respectfully.

First off the price never changed. The tires I asked for were the same rating I had and needed. That said, the service was fast and efficient as one could ask for. I also asked about an upgraded tire that turned out I didn't need due to the ones I asked for. The results were from a short ride home of 5 miles superb. The difference in tires was amazing. This is due to the bad tires I had on. The shop is clean and I was watching the other employees and their customer service was really good. I did come and it was 104 degrees and the inside of the shop was kept cool for customers with the AC and fan. However, the workers were working very hard and there were no misters or anything to keep them cool. I did not see them complain and they were getting customers in and out. That's kind of inhumane considering the summers in Sacramento are brutal and how hard they work! My recommendation is to get them some snacks, misters, and water for the heat waves .

We came in this morning to get a flat tire repaired, and we were told it would be done within two hours. After waiting three hours without a single call, text, or update, we decided to go back and check on our car ourselves. When we arrived, it was still sitting in the exact same spot.. it hadn't even been moved. We spoke to the staff, and they told us they would bring it in and start working on it. We waited an hour (4 hours now) inside, and they still never brought the car into the shop. At that point, we decided to leave and take our business somewhere else because Big O Tires clearly couldn't follow through on what they promised. Trash! To make matters worse, they tried to sell us on replacing all four tires, claiming they weren't "right fit," even though we only came in for a flat tire. It felt more like they were trying to upsell us than actually help. Overall, the service was disappointing, the communication was nonexistent, and the experience felt dishonest. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.
