Great customer service! Went to Automotive Intelligence for a full rear brake replacement. The technician was quick, thorough, knowledgeable, and affordable. My drums were 20+ years old and impossible to remove, but he was able to remove it and replace it. Would highly recommend!

Replacing the air suspension compressor first. Then, working on replacing the valve block next.

My experience has mostly been with Sabastian, but the entire team is amazing. I've been to several auto shops before finding this place, and I am so glad I did. As someone with little knowledge and experience with cars, Sabastian went above and beyond to help me understand the issues before any repairs began. His quote was fair--I would say below market rate--and reasonable. After the repairs, he showed me exactly what was done under the hood and where the new part was placed. I've never met a more honest, knowledgeable, and trustworthy professional in the industry--I've been to many! This is now my new go-to auto shop. This place is top-tier, and I highly recommend giving them a call if you need auto service. You'll be a repeat customer!

First of all, he is a young business owner that goes more above and beyond than any business owner I think I've ever met. He is transparent, honest, has amazing customer service skills , is a wonderful communicator , and incredibly thorough in his explanation of the what, the why, and the how when it comes to repairing your car. I took my 2017 BMW 430i to him for a second opinion so-to-speak after the dealer quoted me over $12,000 for the work. They did a diagnosis on my car and were very real with me with what it actually needed and then gave me a very , very fair estimate. I chose to do business with them for all of the above reasons and was incredibly grateful I did. I went on a business trip and left my car there to have all the work performed while I was out of town. I was shown all of the new parts that were original BMW parts, and he explained why we were going to use original BMW parts. When I picked up the car he showed me all of the old parts they took out, the condition they were in, and explained each piece to me and the why behind needing to replace it. I've never experienced anything like this with any repair shop I've used in the Bay Area or here in Elk Grove. Again, I could not be more impressed with the level of professionalism, communication, and transparency. I was literally blown away. On top of all of this communication, I received photographs before and after the repairs were completed, as well as video - very much like a dealer would give you. Juan took extra time to go on the test drive with me when I felt I was experiencing a little bit of weirdness when I was driving it, and this is standard practice for this shop. Juan and his dad own the shop and clearly take pride in their work and know what they are doing. I would highly recommend anyone in the area or outside of the area take their vehicle to G and J as they are so incredibly knowledgeable and really take the time to make sure you are happy and satisfied with the work before and after it's done.

This was just for the pads no rotors. I got a hold of this place and they gave me a quote of $460 with new rotors installed too. The reviews on this place were really good on Yelp Plus I knew some of the people who reviewed them. So I tried them. I called the next day to see if they could fit me in and they said they could do it in a couple of hours. I was going to wait there since the wife was at work. I brought my car there and they looked over my car and ordered the parts. They would be there in 15 minutes. These guys seemed really knowledgeable and very friendly. He gave me $25 bucks off for paying in cash. Anything off is good. Just a note if you use a credit card the company charges 3% more so cash is much better. Their waiting room has lots of different seats to sit in and there were two really padded chairs so I was really comfortable sitting while they worked on my car. The really nice thing about them is the speed. my car was done in under one hour . that was amazing. They guarantee their work for one year. I love it. I will be coming back for my other cars if I need work done again. Top notch place SO far my brakes are smooth and quiet. I don't think they tested the brakes when they were do because later after driving a while there was smoke coming from the brakes. It happens if the film on the pads are still on there or you leave some grease from you hands heheh. Still working great and I could see that they turned the rotors by looking at them .

I called the previous Friday to make an appointment, and they were quick to get me in at a time that worked for my schedule. I spoke with Joe and Ted, and both were very kind, helpful, and patient. I came in because I had dealt with previous mechanics who didn't do great work, and I really needed an honest assessment of my car. They took the time to explain the condition of my vehicle clearly and honestly. What I appreciated most was how Joe broke things down -- he didn't just tell me what needed to be done, but also what should be a priority versus what could wait. That level of honesty and consideration really stood out to me and made me feel like they genuinely cared about my safety and my finances. Expert Automotive feels very trustworthy, has a solid reputation, and the quality of work is clear. I drive a Honda Civic, and I can confidently say they truly are experts when it comes to Hondas. I'm very grateful a friend recommended them, and I definitely look forward to coming back for future work. Highly recommend!

I was greeted upon entering the office. Told them I had an appointment that morning at 9:30 am to drop off my car, the woman in the front checked their system, informed me of the diagnostic fee. Best to call or make an appointment online to drop off your car. The only reason I did not rate 5 star was because I wasn't notify that they were not able to check my car and would be left overnight. In which I had to call the next morning to get an update. I do like the fact that they would call and send out a text message regarding the diagnostic and details of the issues with prices and the estimated fee. In which I was able to approve the repairs online. Also, their communication was great as they would contact me if their was an issue etc. The services were quicker than expected. My car was fix within 3 days. Everything went well as expected!

Summary: [Poor communication] [Missed basic battery drain cause] [Week-long vehicle hold with no…read moreanswer] [Failed diagnostic tests] Details: I took in my 2021 Ford Mustang to Auto Tech Service & Repair because my battery kept dying. I asked for a diagnostic test and specifically told the receptionist to make sure the technician ran the test with my dash cam and iPhone chargers unplugged (I had some suspicions) -- which is super basic common sense when diagnosing a parasitic battery drain on a car battery. Auto Tech kept my car for 7 days and ultimately told me they couldn't find the issue and that it was likely an electrical problem. They said I should take it to Ford to have a better chance of diagnosing why my battery kept dying. I assumed it must be such a specific issue that only Ford would know, since they held my car for a week and supposedly tried "everything." When I took the car to Ford Elk Grove and paid their $250 diagnostic fee, they identified the problem in a day: my hard-wired dash cam was draining the battery. The Ford service team was actually extremely surprised and embarrassed that this hadn't been caught by an auto technician from Auto Tech Service & Repair. When I called Auto Tech to ask why they missed it, I was told the technician never ran the drain test with the dash cam disconnected. Even if I hadn't mentioned checking the dash cam and chargers (which I did over the phone, though they claim I did not), inspecting any plugged-in electronics is a very basic step when diagnosing a battery drain. - ALSO, I understand that people can make mistakes, but overlooking something this fundamental during a drain test is concerning. I'm sharing this feedback in the hope that the owner and technicians take it as a learning opportunity and make sure that battery drain diagnostics are performed the way other shops do it. Room for improvement: Communication was also extremely poor. Updates were silent throughout the day, and most of the time I had to call them myself to find out what was going on with my car. If your shop says "I will check with the technicians and call you back" please call back... Overall, I appreciate that they didn't charge me, but the lack of thorough diagnostics from an auto tech shop and the poor communication ended up costing me far more in time, week long car rental fees, and a second diagnostic at an expensive dealer.

I took my car here yesterday for two new tires. In the past two months my car had already been to a tire shop and looked at by a family member, and also to the dealership to get a recalled piece replaced. So I already knew of any and all issues with my car due to the first tire shop visit and the Ford dealership visit. After getting my tires, the employees gave me a list of "issues" that needed to be addressed on my car. Stating that one of the issues was $1200 and needed to be taken care of immediately, but I had a grand total of $2,000 worth of issues. Again, they didn't know I had already sent my car to another tire shop and the Ford dealership within the last 2 months where no one ever stated these issues with my car but they had told me what did need to be done, and they were consistent with each other. Immediately when I got home from big o tires, I had my cousin who works at the tire shop I initially sent my car to to check my car for the issues big o said I had. He did not find any of them. The only reason I didn't keep my car at my cousins shop was because it was more expensive than big o, but at least they don't lack integrity and were honest about my issues. The big o tires employees were trying to get me, a girl who walked in by herself and knows little to anything about cars, out of $2,000 when nothing was wrong with my car. They lack integrity and shouldn't get another dime. I absolutely do not recommend. Update 2 months later: my car has been leaking ever since it was serviced here. My car had ZERO leakage prior to bringing it here. So disappointing
