This review is a long time coming because ive been a client of Sandro's for at least 4 years, taking care of 3 mid-2000s cars (BMW and toyota) and Barr's has been a life saver over and over for me! Having a vehicle crisis turns into a pleasant visit every time because Sandro is such a kind and affable person who takes the time to help his customers understand what is going on with their car. I have learned so much from him and every interaction is enjoyable. I can't recommend this business enough. Really excellent pricing, easy scheduling and quick turnaround. Go to Barr's!!! read more

10/10! Very professional and explains whatever situation you have with your car very thoroughly. Very honest mechanic who is hard to come by and very clean shop as well! Definitely will bring my car back here! Thank you! read more

Brought my car in after reading the reviews I wasn't able to get the work done because my situation was a little bit more complicated and required a little bit more; but I definitely wanna give this Shop the Credit it deserves because the owner was very nice knowledgeable spent a lot of time talking to me and explaining to me What was going on with my car and also gave me a great recommendation to a body shop. I really appreciate him taking that time out to assess my car and do the best he could to find a solution. It was greatly appreciated. He is honest he didn't try to tell me he could do something if he couldn't do it or just tell me I needed something unnecessarily and I really appreciate that that is hard to come by these days, but I will definitely recommend this shop and I will definitely come back to get my oil changes and breaks done here. read more

Great job decent prices and he was right on the money for my car. It looks like a dream hasn't went back in the shop.

I brought my 2015 Nissan Armada in to replace my starter. They got it done on time, as promised and without any surprise up-charges. The best part? Very reasonable prices. I LOVED This: They have razor wire topping the fences and many cameras surrounding the property. They let guard dogs loose inside the compound after-hours. I would feel perfectly comfortable leaving my Corvette with them overnight or over the weekend. (If I owned a corvette! LOL) There is no question I am now going to use Barr's for all future work to my vehicles. read more

My neighbor recommended Barr's Auto and I'm glad he did. I've been there twice. Once he guided me in the right direction for some issues I was having with my rims. Most recently his shop replaced my fuel tank that someone had drilled into. He worked well with the insurance company. He talked me through the process and made sure the insurance company approved all the necessary work. Once insurance signed off on the work he ordered the part right away and I was driving again the next business day. Will be back in the future. read more

I spoke to the owner about what it would take to do some transmission maintenance on my 2014 Camry. Just a fluid change is what I was considering. After about a 10 minute conversation I decided against doing the work. The man didn't try to sell me something just to make some money. I can't say enough about his candor regarding my situation. That's how I judge someone's trustworthiness. I'd take my vehicle to him in the future if I had issues. Thank you, sir. read more

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would, really great service, really friendly and very helpful, I would recommend taking your car here. I took my car yesterday morning and picked it up the same day, very great value and service read more

Lisandro has a very great customer service, he took his time to explained everything, he is honest doesn't trying to up sell and also he respond really fast through yelp. So far so good, I am going back here for auto repair. Thank you read more

Excellent customer service no problems with service replacement of cylinders on Ford Edge

I had something hit my car while on a camping trip that resulted in a horrible grinding noise. I took my car to them to see if they could by any chance look at it the same morning and they were so kind that they looked at it and fixed it quickly. Awesome customer service and great experience! read more

Lisandro Always comes through. He comes highly recommended for all kinds of different high quality Auto related jobs. I used his services to avoid buying lemons. He is a shady sellers kryptonite. read more

Barr's did an engine swap on my rig a little over a year ago. Did great work at a reasonable price. Since then, they are my go to. I usually do everything myself but as I get older I'm finding my time is better spent with my wife and kids and not under the hood of my rig. But with that said, we are a family of four with a single income(mine) and I can't throw money at places who charge too much due to zip code (friggin hate Rocklin mechanics) I brought my rig to Barr's because I needed a smog and it was throwing codes. So he dug into it and realized a local mechanic I used (not barr's) did a crappy job. I only went to them because it was an emergency. I live in Rocklin and recently used a Rocklin mechanic(a reputable one at that) and they royally messed up on a VERY simple distributor swap - long story. But the short story is, Barr's basically coached me on how to deal with them and we got that covered. Btw -- I actually had to demand my money back and threaten a small claims suit for them to honor their warranty ( Barr's didn't tell me to do that, I was just severely pissed aaannnddd they were being d!cks) In the end Barr's replaced my charcoal canister, evap valve, a hose or two and got it ready for the smog. The price was more than reasonable and the service better than expected. I shutter to think the cost and f-ing headache if I had gone to one of these stuck up Rocklin mechanics... who by the way... I can't stand. But Barr's is great, and frankly speaking -- I trust them. They are honest, fair, reasonable and not salesmen. Btw -- did I mention I hate Rocklin mechanics? read more

After calling around for an appointment to get my radiator leak fixed, I stumbled upon Barr's Auto which had an immediate availability. Spoke to the owner on the phone and my car was being fixed in less than a half hour. He was very professional and great at explaining what was wrong to me in a way I could understand. My car was fixed and working like new within the same business day. I was very happy to support this business and will be taking my Mazda here again the next time I need a mechanic. Highly recommend this shop for the customer service and speedy turnaround. read more

My driver side wheel bearing went out and Lisandro replaced it and other components that I damaged while driving with a bad bearing. He even replied to my messages after hours and made sure I had a tow to get my car to his shop. I feel that, thats above and beyond service! I will definitely be coming back if I have any other issues with my other cars. Thank you Lisandro! Also his labor price is pretty low read more

My daughter's car was making a noise in the front wheel and we took it to this shop as it was recommended by a friend and Lisandro took the car to test drive and immediately identified the problem and took care it. The car is running great! The following week My brother's truck was over heating and we took it in as well. Lisandro and his team took care of it and it's also running great. Thank you Bart's Team!! read more

Hands-down the best customer service from any autobody shop ever. Not only was the owner personable his response time is quick and I get my car back so fast I have no idea how they do it. BEST BEST BEST Auto Repair store. Mr. Lisandro is the best, honest and knowledgeable mechanic you can ever ask for. I took my Range Rover to get suspension fixed from him. He took his time to look, diagnose and then give his feedback about my suv. He took his time to explain me what is going on with the car, and this is what he is going to repair. This is my first time took my SUV to his place because of yelp review and every single comment in the yelp is true about Mr. Lisandro. PRICE is reasonable. You will not regret taking your Car to him. I did not had ride back home. He called Uber for me and gave me a ride. Trust me that is not his problem to give me a ride but as a courtesy he did. Trust me I will always remember that. Thank you for your great work. I really appreciate it. read more

I had a spark plug blow out on a non-ford and Lisandro hooked me up and had my truck ready to go the next day. He was super friendly about everything and answered every single question I had as well as gave some car advice for future. Super cool shop, friendly, and good prices. Glad I found Barr's. Finally found my go-to auto shop with no BS! Thanks again read more

I've been taking my vehicles in to this shop for a while. He has always taken the time to explain the mechanisms in my vehicles, why they're acting up, and why the fixes he wants to implement will work. The amount of money you pay is always equal to the work done, and it can even be considered a bargain. I'm so grateful to have this shop because he cares about the customers. read more

I hardly ever leave Yelp reviews, but Barr's auto completely deserves one! I originally found them after shopping around for the best quote in Sacramento for a starter replacement. I checked about 10-15 different places and found Barr's and one other company with the best pricing. It came down to the immediate response at Barr's along with the slightly better reviews. It was a quick and easy fix without any hassle. I was pleased with both the auto service as well as customer service. This month I had an alternator and sensor issue. I live in SF but knew I immediately wanted to have it towed to have Lisandro at Barr's, work on it. I told him what issue I was having and he was able to accept my Jeep that day to at least diagnose it. We didn't realize the sensors were an issue until after the alternator was in and the car was running, so he had to keep the car an extra day. However, everything is working great and I feel like he's gone above and beyond even with the little things to make my experience a great one both times I have taken my car in. It's always hard to find a good, knowledgeable, reasonable, quick, fair mechanic, and once you find one you have to hang on to them. Barr's is my new go-to mechanic and I have already started sharing the word with friends and family. Thank you! Rachel read more

My car's front grill came off. I thought it might require a special latch as the car is 13 y/o but he took the time to carefully place the grill back in. He also used clips to tighten the upper bumper (it was loose, too) . When I tried to pay for his service, he said "Don't worry about it" and didn't take any payment. I am so very grateful to him for his precious time and service, and I will definitely come back for any car issue I have next time. Thank you so much!! read more

I usually don't do reviews rather just look up Yelp for good spots. Definitely a go spot for whatever it is your car may need. It was my boyfriend and I second time going to this shop and we always felt welcomed, heard and fast service. Lisandro's honesty and humbleness is what brought us back, and we thank you for that! I will now start posting my reviews to help other readers and of course the business:) read more

This is the only place I will take my cars. It's hard to find a place that you can trust with your car, & also trust that you won't be taken advantage of. As a female, getting repairs done can be intimidating...especially if you aren't familiar with cars. With that being said, I can 100% say that has never happen here. I've always received the best service. Always a welcoming and friendly environment. Services are always done in an efficient and timely manner. Very professional and affordable. I came in on January 15th for a tune up and a few other services. My car is running so nicely I could not be more happy. I would highly recommend Barr's Auto to everyone I know. Lisandro always explains everything in a way that even someone like myself, with zero knowledge about cars, can understand. He never makes you feel dumb & is always more than happy to take the time to go over information and answer any questions you may have. If needing work on your car do not look any further, you have found the right place. read more

I took my Honda Pilot in , for what I thought was, a bad alternator. My battery kept dying on me, and it was becoming quite annoying. After taking my car in, Lisandro figured out what the problem was. Someone had tampered with my driver door lock, which pretty much mangled it. This was causing my battery to drain every time it was off. Lisandro was able to fix my lock, and had it matched to my current key, so I didn't have to go thru the trouble of dealing with a new set and dealing with a new key fob. Lisandro was very professional and explained everything to me, in detail. I had to wait a few days for parts, and Lisandro was up front at the outset. I was very happy with his work, and his ability to access the problem immediately. I will continue to take my vehicles to Barr's Auto, for all my auto repair needs. read more

A rare thing, an honest mechanic who provides only the best service, simple as that.

This place is excellent. They have been taking care of our cars for years now and have always figured out whatever issues have come up. They guaranteed their work, but we've never had any problems with any repairs they've done. They are highly recommended for whatever issues you may have. Excellent customer service with reasonable prices. Never going anywhere else! read more

An undercarriage panel was damaged and hanging from my Honda Fit. The estimate I received to put it back in place was $98.
