Brought my car in after reading the reviews I wasn't able to get the work done because my situation was a little bit more complicated and required a little bit more; but I definitely wanna give this Shop the Credit it deserves because the owner was very nice knowledgeable spent a lot of time talking to me and explaining to me What was going on with my car and also gave me a great recommendation to a body shop. I really appreciate him taking that time out to assess my car and do the best he could to find a solution. It was greatly appreciated. I brought my 2015 Nissan Armada in to replace my starter. They got it done on time, as promised and without any surprise up-charges. The best part? Very reasonable prices. I LOVED This: They have razor wire topping the fences and many cameras surrounding the property. They let guard dogs loose inside the compound after-hours. I would feel perfectly comfortable leaving my Corvette with them overnight or over the weekend. (If I owned a corvette! My neighbor recommended Barr's Auto and I'm glad he did. I've been there twice. Once he guided me in the right direction for some issues I was having with my rims. Most recently his shop replaced my fuel tank that someone had drilled into. He worked well with the insurance company. He talked me through the process and made sure the insurance company approved all the necessary work. Barr's did an engine swap on my rig a little over a year ago. Did great work at a reasonable price. Since then, they are my go to. I usually do everything myself but as I get older I'm finding my time is better spent with my wife and kids and not under the hood of my rig. But with that said, we are a family of four with a single income(mine) and I can't throw money at places who charge too much due to zip code (friggin hate Rocklin mechanics) I brought my rig to Barr's because I needed a smog and it was throwing codes. So he dug into it and realized a local mechanic I used (not barr's) did a crappy job. I only went to them because it was an emergency. I live in Rocklin and recently used a Rocklin mechanic(a reputable one at that) and they royally messed up on a VERY simple distributor swap - long story. But the short story is, Barr's basically coached me on how to deal with them and we got that covered. Btw -- I actually had to demand my money back and threaten a small claims suit for them to honor their warranty ( Barr's didn't tell me to do that, I was just severely pissed aaannnddd they were being d!cks) In the end Barr's replaced my charcoal canister, evap valve, a hose or two and got it ready for the smog. The price was more than reasonable and the service better than expected. I shutter to think the cost and f-ing headache if I had gone to one of these stuck up Rocklin mechanics... who by the way... I can't stand. But Barr's is great, and frankly speaking -- I trust them. They are honest, fair, reasonable and not salesmen. Btw -- did I mention I hate Rocklin mechanics? read more

My driver side wheel bearing went out and Lisandro replaced it and other components that I damaged while driving with a bad bearing. He even replied to my messages after hours and made sure I had a tow to get my car to his shop. I feel that, thats above and beyond service! I hardly ever leave Yelp reviews, but Barr's auto completely deserves one! I originally found them after shopping around for the best quote in Sacramento for a starter replacement. I checked about 10-15 different places and found Barr's and one other company with the best pricing. It came down to the immediate response at Barr's along with the slightly better reviews. It was a quick and easy fix without any hassle. I was pleased with both the auto service as well as customer service. This month I had an alternator and sensor issue. I live in SF but knew I immediately wanted to have it towed to have Lisandro at Barr's, work on it. I told him what issue I was having and he was able to accept my Jeep that day to at least diagnose it. We didn't realize the sensors were an issue until after the alternator was in and the car was running, so he had to keep the car an extra day. However, everything is working great and I feel like he's gone above and beyond even with the little things to make my experience a great one both times I have taken my car in. It's always hard to find a good, knowledgeable, reasonable, quick, fair mechanic, and once you find one you have to hang on to them. My car's front grill came off. I thought it might require a special latch as the car is 13 y/o but he took the time to carefully place the grill back in. He also used clips to tighten the upper bumper (it was loose, too) . When I tried to pay for his service, he said "Don't worry about it" and didn't take any payment. I took my Honda Pilot in , for what I thought was, a bad alternator. My battery kept dying on me, and it was becoming quite annoying. After taking my car in, Lisandro figured out what the problem was. Someone had tampered with my driver door lock, which pretty much mangled it. This was causing my battery to drain every time it was off. Lisandro was able to fix my lock, and had it matched to my current key, so I didn't have to go thru the trouble of dealing with a new set and dealing with a new key fob. Lisandro was very professional and explained everything to me, in detail. I had to wait a few days for parts, and Lisandro was up front at the outset.
