I needed a new battery for my 2021 Mercedes Benz . I normally take my car to the Mercedes Benz dealership because I like authentic parts ( which Star Motors does uses authentic parts) on my vehicle. But this time I wanted to shop around for a cheaper price . I did my research and came across Star Motors. I read so many great reviews so i decided to call. I spoke with Alvin, he was straight forward and knowledgeable. Fast forward I took my car in. Greeted by Alvin , gave them my keys and they took my vehicle. Alvin knew I had to get back to work. But the service is like a fist come and first served. My car fixed within an hour and maybe 15 minutes , that was quick being there was other people's before me, and nd they all had Mercedes. Once I got my car he explained to me what to expect because the car and battery was reprogrammed by Star Motors it would take time for some information to fall off my screen. By the time I got home which was 20 minutes away, the message disappeared. I save 400 dollars . I forgot he gave me a new customer discount of 100 dollars!!! I was shocked and happy at the same time. A few days ago my car showed A red battery warning on dash indicating alternator problem(researched). Called Alvin and informed him with readings from my car's battery alternator check feature plus code scanner(no codes) that i purchased. Alvin and I discussed future service because the warning went away and didn't show up with the car having normal operation. This morning the same warning appeared again. I call Alvin and he said I can go to Star Motors. I drove straight there before anything got worse and by the end of the day everything was fixed with a new alternator and now driving worry free thanks to Star Motors and Alvin. Excellent work. 1 Star - Major safety red flags ignored at Star Motors Alpharetta. PPI on a red Prius showed bad brake booster (mechanic called it a major safety concern) + 3 dry-rotted tires. Caesar said they'd fix both, but when I asked for it in writing, the manager refused the brake repair. They're selling a car with known brake safety issues. Walked away. Get your own PPI and don't trust verbal promises. read more

Ever since I was a little Heem (a nickname given to me by friends), my dad has always (and continues to this day) advised me about the concept of money management. He says things such as "cut your coat according to your cloth", essentially saying that I should always spend within my budget and not be concerned with what others do with their money (pocket watching). When it came to maintaining my first car (1997 Toyota Tercel), he instructed me to never get my car serviced at the dealership unless the work was covered by a warranty. As an adult, I take his sayings and lessons with me wherever I go and I find myself always searching for the best deal. After purchasing a low mileage BMW 840i, a colleague of mine highly recommended that I take it to Star Motors for any required maintenance. When my car was ready for an oil change, I called and spoke with Alvin who scheduled me an appointment for the following week. Arriving the day of the appointment, I filled out the required maintenance form, handed Alvin my key, and he informed me that it would be done by noon (I dropped the car off at 9:30). At 11:05 Alvin left me a voicemail informing me that the service had been completed and my car was ready (talk about efficiency)! Shortly after 1pm (they take lunch from 12 to 1), I arrived to pick up my car. For the oil change I paid $109 (this price includes a $20 discount for being a new customer), which is a solid price considering that the local BMW Service Department quoted me $250. Aside from the savings, I found the establishment's honesty to be refreshing. When I asked Alvin about the maintenance schedule that I should follow, he was very straightforward and did not try to upsell me. I look forward to keeping my current car for a long-term period; therefore, I will be returning to Star Motors for any future service needs! read more

I had to do an update. I have since moved to San Diego since my last review. One of the bigger problems was finding a mechanic to replace the professional, honest, friendly, timely treatment I received over the years at star motors. Well it's impossible. I'm so lucky I come up every few months and still do my service and repairs there. I have tried a few in SD but there is no replacement for Alvin and his crew at star motors!! I'm a single woman now and taking my car to a shop is intimidating, they can tell you anything. I've always felt at star motors they go above and beyond to explain what needs to be done and why. Excellent place... I brought my Mercedes GLA 250 here because it required service, I did have to wait for an appointment for about three weeks... But the beauty is, when you get in, your car is seen right away. My car needed basic maintenance, oil, change, etc., and there was an issue with my AC that they were able to fix it for free... Very honest business. Their recommendation is always to benefit the customers and not to make money from repairs that are not necessary. I had a 2015 GL450 that had water damage. The insurance company wanted to fix the car. Soua from Star Motors recommended to me and pushed the insurance to total the car instead of repairing. They could have easily repaired the SUV and charged $14K but they felt that the SUV may have problems down the line and so Soua convinced the insurance that repairing the SUV was not a good idea and that they should total the car. Eventually the insurance company agreed. I have used them in the past as well for my S500 and these guys are very honest, explaining what repairs are necessary and why.
