Despite having an incredibly busy schedule, they were flexible, fit us in, and had our vehicle diagnosed and repaired much quicker than we expected. Communication throughout the process was excellent as well. What impressed us the most was their honesty. Finding an auto shop you can truly trust is rare, and we never once felt like we were being upsold or pressured into unnecessary repairs. They took the time to explain everything clearly and treated us with integrity, and that means everything to us when someone is working on our vehicles. If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and dependable mechanic, we highly recommend Newcastle Auto Tech. They've earned our trust, and we'll definitely be returning for future service.

Thanks to Steve, our old, faithful car is now over 30! We are very grateful to him for taking care…read moreof it, with his one-of-a-kind expert knowledge, and honest, genuine care. We had a check engine light go on in September. He squeezed us in for a diagnosis in late October (yes, he's that backed-up with appointments). He did a thorough check of the car (we felt it was running a bit sluggish), and found a big issue with cylinder exhaust valves, requiring a costly engine repair. He gave me an estimate to do the repair. I asked about a couple of used Subaru cars he had on the lot, and he gave his opinions and costs. I also asked about 'what if it were his car' scenario, and he said he'd repair it, since he knows our car model year is a good one. Given all that information, we decided to repair our car, hoping that he wouldn't discover anything else serious once he took the engine apart. We scheduled for the beginning of January for two weeks. Happily, he did not find anything else after examining the engine and the rest of the car. He was able to get a part custom made, and he completed the job sooner than expected (and at a lower cost than the original estimate). He also gave us a recommendation for the next set of tires (which he advised we'll need sooner rather than later). Our car is running noticeably better (no sluggishness). If only there were more mechanics with the integrity and knowledge that Steve has.

After looking up the price of a new harness online, I was worried about the cost of the repair since I was on a tight budget at the time and mentioned that to them. They cut a section of wiring harness from a parts Audi they had on their lot, spliced it in, fixed the issue, and saved me a TON of money. Super transparent with photos and explanations throughout
