Someone backed into my rear right fender in a parking lot and left no note. I asked my friend for a reputable auto body repair shop as I am new to the area. She recommended Rooker's as her and her husband have had work done there before. My contact was Ray who gave me an on-the-spot estimate and explained what needed to be done and the time it would take to do it Brought my car in a couple of weeks later. They had it 2 days and were even nice enough to take me back home and pick me up as I only lived a couple of miles away. The job they did was amazing!! No trace of a scratch or a bump. They left my hood off during the rain, rusted out my cast iron engine parts, pot marks on hood paint, said they'd paint my bumper gloss and changed it to matte without letting me know, grill was supposed to be painted but was told it was misdiagnosed and it can't be painted all of a sudden, pay more and get less! This is the place for you, I drive a 100k + diesel btw, treated it like it was a pinto, hack job job it and send it was the treatment I received, they talked trash on other local shops saying how they're the best etc smh read more

When it comes to body work, this is the best shop around especially if you live in the Auburn area. Very fair price, great service and professional shop from the moment you approach the front door. I received a quote on the spot but did my research first and found them as a five star on yelp then immediately booked an appointment to have my Jeep's front bumper replaced and new KC lights installed. It took two months to get the work completed since they are so booked. They did a great job even thou they didn't note it needed some body to be painted as well as replacing the rear bumper. The initial inspection (pictures) didn't show body scratches in the pictures and that was GEICOS fault. I told Rooker's but they didn't write it down. It was all paid for by my insurance company as an uninsured drunk hit me who is spending 2 years in CA State Prison for the minor collision. I'm glad he hit my parked car going a couple of miles an hour in a court vs out on the streets and possibly hurting someone. read more

Words can't say how grateful I am to Ray for his outstanding job on fixing the underbody shield on my Honda. The dealership told me it was probably a huge job and would've charged me an unreasonable amount. He was so honest and attentive. Not only did he quote me exactly what I paid in the end, he went out of his way to get an additional part all the way in Roseville that wasn't expected so the job was done timely: And it was out of his own pocket!! Rooker's is wonderful. I've been here twice and my boyfriend had his car repaired here once. I have a Subaru. First time-I was quoted $1000 and in the end, Ray only charged me $750. Second time-I was rear ended and it smashed my tire. Subaru requires all 4 tires to be replace at the same time. Their insurance would only pay for part of one of my tires. Their insurance quoted me $690 for my portion. Ray said he could get me comparable tires for $279. Sweet. Ray delivered my car sooner than promised and then covered the $279. My cost-$0. Repair work-Both times my car was returned to me in perfect condition. Customer service-Ray and Kim are lovely. Reception/bathroom-new and sparkling clean. read more

The service at Rooker's is superb. My car was hit by a truck tire on interstate 80 and I was referred to Rookers to get my car fixed. They changed a bad situation into a great experience. They not only fix my car efficiently fast and returned it washed and clean. But they arranged for a rental car to be there for me. We had a fender bender several weeks ago. Our insurance recommended several body repair shops that were "in network" with them. Normally one would assume that meant they were a fantastic body shop, right? In network with your company? BUT after reading reviews, apparently that wasn't what the customers thought about a few of the shops. We came to find out that in "network" really meant these places offered a lower rate to the insurance companies via use of non name brand parts used to replace damaged bumpers, light covers or used refurbished parts-so they get their hourly rate, plus hopefully build a customer base & our insurance company pays lesser amounts for parts. They may be good body shops, but for the price I pay for insurance, I want a Subaru bumper for my damaged Subaru bumper. Rookers has rave reviews & is not in network. This is because they do outstanding work. They don't need to be fed customers because their reputation brings the people in.They use name brand parts. They are professional & really really nice. Our car looked great. We did notice the plastic exhaust cover on the bumper wasn't sitting flush, & while pushing on it, the owner, Ray, who was doing the walk around with us said "Oh, wait, that's not a good fit, I'll order a new one. Come back in a couple of days & I'll swap it out for you. Oh, & hey, look, there's a teeeeny scratch we missed on the tow hook plate. Let me take it & I'll have it repainted. It'll be ready when you come back for the exhaust cover." You can't ask for better than that. We didn't even see the scratch, actually it was a teeny little nick in the paint.....THESE GUYS ARE GREAT. They spotted a less than perfect area & jumped on it. The worst customer experience and most unprofessional management I have encountered in some time. Four weeks ago my daughter was rear ended by an uninsured motorist in my recently restored 89 BMW while home from college. The collision pushed her forward and both the rear and front were damaged. I called a friend for a recommendation of a good shop and they suggested Rooker,s. I had the car taken there the same day of the accident and asked for a repair quote and was given a cost which was above the "market" value which I was willing to pay because the car was a very clean restored example and well worth more in the real non "book" market. I told them this right up front and told them I would be going forward with the repair at their quote. My Insurance company showed up in about a week and quickly totaled the car which did not surprise me and I told Rooker's I would pay the quoted repair price as I was going to keep the car. They told me they were busy but would tear it down further when they could so they could refine the quote in case there was additional damage and I was perfectly fine with that and said go ahead lets do this right. Another week passed and I did not hear from anyone. When I called I was told they were really busy and it would be next week before they got to the tear down analysis. I was still willing to be patient. Another week passed and I had to call again and was told they had not touched it yet. When I asked Tom when they would be able to he was non committal and would not give me a time telling me they were short handed and busy and didn't know when they could do it (4 weeks into it at that point), but I could pick it up if I wanted to. I outright asked him if he was even interested in repairing my BMW at which point his response was " I don't think so....It is very time consuming and we don't like to work on older cars like that". I asked him if he wanted me to come and get it and he said yes you should take it. Rookers literally wasted 4 weeks of my time I could have been having my car fixed and they did not even have the professional or moral courtesy to be honest with me right up front or at any time during the month they had it. My opinion is that they are an "insurance mill" and only want to do the quick and dirty pay out jobs and they were just keeping me on ice in case things slowed down and they needed the revenue....if I got mad and took it at some point, no loss to their business. Un-ethical, unprofessional and a terrible community vendor. read more
