I stopped in Auburn and called four different tire shops, but every single one told me they couldn't fit me in until at least the next day. Frustrated, I called The Tire Depot, and they told me to come right down. When I arrived, they already had six or seven cars outside with guys working on each one of them, but they still took my car in immediately. The team quickly inspected the tire, found the nail, and first tried a plug. When that didn't hold, they pulled the tire off and patched it properly. From start to finish, I was out of there in about 30 minutes, and the repair only cost $30. Absolutely amazing service--fast, friendly, and honest. I can't recommend these guys enough! Also, they were kind enough without even asking to go around and check the air pressure in all three other tires. I thought that was outstanding service.

The corporate tire center said I needed rear brakes with new calipers and new rotors.. Auburn tire took it out for a road test then put it on the rack came back in and said you don't need brakes. You have 4 mm on the rear and six on the front. Come back in a few thousand miles and we'll change out the rears and turn your rotors. I'm glad I went there because the other place was gonna charge me $658 for work I didn't need to have done.

Well, after an 1.5 hours waiting- they told my husband it wasn't fixable- over the phone my husband said we're not ready to buy new tires yet since the tread wasn't bad and just want the plug. After waiting for a while, they finally started on the car but wouldn't plug the nail hole nor put the original tire back on. The manager and head guy came out- my husband told them calmly repeatedly that we're not buying a tire yet but to please put the tire back on so we can leave! Huffing and puffing, finally they put on our spare tire, threw the original tire into the back and we drove off. Went down the street to tire repair, the one in front of grocery outlet- guess what. They said "no problem -come back in a hour!" So how come, Les Schwab wouldn't do what were asked and yet another establishment did it without any doubt! My husband will not return to Les Schwab anymore for any of his car business! The other couple at the Les Schwab said he dropped his car off at 8am- was told it will Be ready in 2.5 hours; he did errands and by 1:30 his car wasn't even looked at yet! Incredible! My recent situation was a 'simple' repair and upgrade requiring a lift, and a 4 wheel alignment. So I found Auburn Service Center by referral from my smog guy (Thomas at California Smog). Took my car in for inspection and an estimate ... shocker ... a mechanic 'building up' the repair costs? Rich tells me there are also some 'other' things needing replacement (a bent rear trailing arm and a front sway link). Rich SHOWED me his concerns and sure enough it was just as he said. Final cost ($398.15) was still below the $450 - $600 I was expecting to pay and it included the additional work. Bottom line is, I have no reservation using Auburn Service Center for all my future repairs, possibly including some I would typically do myself. Oh, and my car now drives straight as an arrow with hands off the wheel, so it was a good alignment.
