I found out the owner Zach was the one who did an electrical diag on my truck. I'm not impressed by his lies. He kept asking me the same questions and not understanding my answers then he would call me argumentative when I answered. Then he started rolling his finger around his head asking me if this mechanic work was all in my head or did I hear this from another mechanic. I heard it from a mechanic but he feels the need to call me crazy all cause he messed up on my car. I had to teach joy how to make a Napa claim after learning from Napa. My car still spits and little mistakes were not fixed or managed by the owner in a humane way. He put on a clamp to a bubbling hose and didn't even run my truck after to see if it worked. You will NOT find that at this business. I had some extensive work done on my truck and a month later had a failure. Had it towed to Applegate Garage and not only did they fix the problem, put me ahead of the line, but told me it was there error and would pay my towing. I would have never tied to two things together, but the honesty and integrity that are sorely missing these days is alive and well at this business as well as excellent work and service. Visited A/G again today, thinking I'd need not only a smog check but a combustion diagnosis/repair as well. Zack took a look at the lack of exhaust issue and quickly decided to have a smog test done anyway, and - what do ya' know? - it passed after all! (I had previously taken my GMC diesel dually in to a smog check station in Auburn, and their tech said that the exhaust seemed to be too smoky to pass, and asked that I take the truck to a diagnostic garage first...thank you.) I caught my bumper on a curb and pulled it off a little (oops! ) I had heard good things about this garage, I had a client once whose car broke down and someone actually came out to her house and picked it up for her ( after work hours to boot, they were so nice.) I had never heard of, or seen a garage do something like that before and it stuck with me, so I just showed up hoping that they could help. They were very very busy, and I was a little nervous they wouldn't be able to help me out of nowhere like that, but I went inside to explain what had happened, and a gentleman immediately addressed the situation. He took my keys and pulled my car up to the work area, immediately lifted it up with a carjack and got right to it. I was there for all of 15 minutes, they only charged me for these little rubber stoppers that would hold my bumper in place, about 15 bucks in total. Everyone was extremely accommodating, polite and responsive. I was so impressed with how they helped me so expediently, I definitely got old school customer service vibes. I know it was a pretty simple fix but still, they just hopped right on it all while being very busy, after this I can see why they are so popular. I can 100% with confidence recommend this business, from now on if I have any issues with my vehicles I will go here. They could've prioritized their bigger ( and most assuredly more profitable) jobs and kept me waiting, but they really came through and helped me out! A bad hiccup in my day actually became a great stroke of luck to find an awesome place where I can trust that my car will be well taken care of in a timely and responsible manner. My husband and I were on our way across the country and about 100 miles from home when our check engine light came on. We found Applegate Garage on Yelp and thank goodness we did. We spoke to the receptionist before they opened and she told us they were understaffed and booked two weeks out. Thank you Zach and Brian for the great work done on my 2008 Toyota Sequoia. My suv had a P2437 error code which is a secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor circuit low bank 2. Zach and Brian were so attentive to my concerns and took down notes on what I was experiencing while driving the suv which was accelerating issues and how it would get stuck at a specific speed and wouldn't shift gears automatically and just got stuck at that speed. Zach explained that it could be 3 issues and explained in detail what each issue it could be. Luckily it was the original sensor that an aftermarket sensor went out so he recommended the factory replacement since aftermarket failed. We were coming From North Lake Tahoe in a snowstorm, and I noticed that our windshield wiper had gotten off track and was scraping a bit of the car beyond the windshield. Already some of the paint was coming off, and we knew we would not be able to drive all the way back to the Bay Area without our windshield wiper completely breaking due to the heavy rains ahead of us. We found Applegate Garage on yelp, and stopped in without an appointment. Within one minute of arriving, Zach was out at our car and fixing our windshield wiper in no time at all. Zack and his guys are rocket scientists! Took a 1995 CJ, with a firing problem that occurred only over 3000 rpm, in that no one (local garage or dealership) could figure out. They diagnosed it correctly the first time; a bad flex plate. Replaced it and no more problem. Magnafluxed the old flex plate and it didn't show any signs of cracks or anything but it was definitely the problem. Great job!!! Took in a 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser wagon that would not pass smog. Local folks couldn't figure it out. Zack and crew traced it to a chipped valve that messed up the smog test. He found it using a camera scope checking the cylinders. Another great job!!! read more
