I went there the first time last week with my car making an horrific noise. They fixed the noise in my engine at a very reasonable price. I know nothing about cars and actually thought it could be the transmission. Another auto care could have taken advantage of me. The last place I went to they told me I needed new brakes. Sierra Auto Care let me my know my breaks are just fine. Wanted to go to this place for get an estimate. Web and yelp said it closes at 5pm on Friday. Called at 4 multiple times and no one picked up. Maybe they were busy so my husband and I drove there. Got there at 4:30 and it was closed. Another customer was there hoping to get in too. Then called on Monday and the lady I spoke to was pretty rude. We won't be doing business with them. I have been a long time customer of Sierra Auto Care after transferring my business from another local automotive repair shop that was less than honest on several occassions. Recently I have had a vehicle that has been a "challenge" to keep properly running as it ages. Despite many hours of labor and parts and trouble shooting, the good folks at Sierra Auto Care have been more than fair with costs and charges as related to the repairs. Like anything else, you have to find a repair shop you can trust, and for me personally, I prefer a shop where they "call it like they see it", no BS, just plain english with good explanations. Sierra Auto Care is always sure to tell me what needs to be done, what can wait, and what (if anything) I may want to consider having done in the near future. In this day and age as vehicles become more complex repairs are harder to do for the "average joe" and it is nice to know I can leave my vehicles in the care of local experts who take the time to not only maintain and fix my vehicles, but also take the steps to do "preventative" maintance and keep me and family safe on the road. read more

I had my car towed into these folks. They gave me an huge estimate and asked to do even more testing on the car. I did not agree to the testing so they ended up telling me they would not work on my car. I took it to Red Sun instead and it was fixed for $320 which included an oil change and they did not feel the additional testing was necessary. Sierra wanted over $700 for the work. Avoid Sierra and avoid ATS across the way. If you have a Toyota or Lexus, go to Red Sun. If you have some other make, look around but avoid Sierra and ATS. read more

And she was so rude. NO THANKS... I am a local business owner here in Loomis and like to keep my business local - BUT I will drive 20 miles not to do business here. After being misled one too many times at AutoNation Subaru, I brought my Forester to investigate an engine leak that the dealer said would be $140 to diagnose. In less than an hour Sierra Auto Care reported that there wasn't a leak and even waived the $59 fee they normally charge. So today , when it came time to adress a newly found problem , I decided that I would give them another shot. I have to agree with Brad B., went in to get an issue addressed and asked to speak to a technician. The over adorned older lady at the desk had me explain everything to her instead. Then, when I was almost finished she told me to hold on and picked up her cell phone and began speaking to someone about dental issues, like huh? Worst customer service in Loomis. I had gone to this place before and had a good experience, but dealt with the guys in the shop, not the rude cougar at the desk. Looks like she cost them two customers already. I Installed a new engine in a Ford Probe for my son. Being somewhat of a DIYer and mechanically inclined. After install I was having drivability issues. I spent over (2) months trying to resolve myself. When I was ready to drive this car off a cliff I contacted Sierra Auto Care for some help. They spent so much time trying to figure this mess out. poor! Just got ripped off!!!Went in to smog m y truck only to have it on for 1/4th of the test due to a tail pipe leak. Tech came in said couldn't test due to leak and handed Shannon Chris the paper work and Walked Away? Ok no prob, lets get it fixed. This is a smog and repair shop as advertised! No offer to fix, told me it needs to welded. No problem, I have a welder and can do it and bring it rite back. (I am a 20yr vet commercial mechanic)Shannon Chris asked if I was bring it back today, I said yes. Charged me $51.75. I addition will charge full amount when I bring it back.?????So it was on the machine for 10min, only got through 1/4 of testing and you are going to charge me full price? WYF!!!! I asked why the hell would I bring it back to you!(Shannon Chris) "I don't know" I live in a beautiful small town of Loomis and own a local farm as well as a small jerky business. I prefer to use local businesses to keep work going in our small town. It's the rite thing to do. Never would I have imagined that I would get ripped off here.
