Wow. Brutal. Mind you, have been coming here for years and had great experiences. Walk in and TV is blaring load. No reason. New guy at the reception. Not friendly but forgivable. Told him had a coupon and was not going to accept it as he ran the invoice. Then made me read the small print on the coupon. A cordial, do you have any coupons or discounts before I process would have been reasonable. PRESENT THE COUPON FIRST. I wish I did not have this experience. Been going to this place for all my cars for many years. My son and I went here this morning to get his car smogged. The same older gentleman that everyone complains about having attitude gave it me. He talked to me and got upset like I was his son. We walked out and left. I'll never be back. There's too many places around to go to. Dude should not be working with customers. So thankful for this place! With a tight time frame, I went to AAA to do my DMV paperwork for a title transfer. Having made a rookie mistake, I was informed I needed to get a smog done before my new to me vehicle could be transferred into my name. The AAA clerk told me to go down the road to Smog Busters. He told me they are quick and would probably give me a AAA discount. 20 minutes later, I was on my way back to AAA with my smog certificate having been uploaded to the system and my papers in hand. The guys there are great...a wonderful sense of humor which helped ease the pain of having to cram in an unexpected smog test. The price was great, the waiting room comfortable. Nobody loves getting a smog. Hard to believe two years comes so quickly! I had gotten my last one here and boy has it changed since then! Before it was one guy in a garage with no waiting room. I had to pull my car into the bay myself and stand outside in the heat to wait. Now, there is a very comfortable waiting room with a television along with a separate guy taking your paperwork and another tech doing the actual test. By the time I got checked in, there was a line of 3 people behind me which were quickly processed. I waited maybe 20 minutes with no appointment. I walked out to get my car and the tech happily wished me a great day. An overall pleasant and easy experience. I highly recommend! When I arrived an old man was at the front window. He was scolding the customer in front of me. He said she should never take her car in for a scheduled maintenance before a smog check. When it was my turn, I asked the man to confirm the price I was quoted on the phone. He told me the price with the coupon. I said oh I forgot to print the coupon. Then he yelled at me to get the coupon on the website. I immediately asked for my keys back and I left. I ended up going to the Loomis location instead. The attendant there was kind and respectful. There was indoor seating and only one car ahead of me so I was basically in and out. I was happy to take my business elsewhere. read more

We came in with no appointment for a smog check, and were taken care of pretty quickly! The process was extremely simple, and very painless. I believe we were helped by the owner(?), but he was very pleasant to us. Our smog was extremely quick, taking less than 30 mins, the waiting room was comfortable and made the time go by very quickly. The total for the smog was $72, so for quick and friendly service, so money-wise very worth it! We grabbed a business card and also received $20 off of our next smog. We absolutely plan on coming back here in the future for all of our smog needs. I don't see any reason to go anywhere else! read more

The guy at the counter is so dang rude! Maybe he should be educated that DMV allows you to do all your vehicle notification's paperless now, in 2023! He berated me for not having a smog paper, I explained that I received my notification through email/DMV website. That it is now an option to choose to receive everything electronically to save paper! He still insisted it was needed it. The shop just needs to enter your freaking VIN and license plate number into the smog machine! Jackhole. Oh sorry you had to punch in a few numbers INSTEAD of scanning a barcode!
