Got my smog done here a few times. The prices are good. Not the friendliest workers, but the job gets done. There's also a waiting area in the back. read more

Smog 1 - Waiting area - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Roseville, California

Came in on a weekday around 10:45 to avoid any crowds. I was the only one there so that worked out. Friendly owner and only took around 15 mins and I was out. Reasonable price at $60. Highly recommend! read more

It was a simple song check not required by the DMV, except that I was selling my car. Super simple, easy and in-n-out in a short time. The guys was super nice who waited on me. read more

The owner was very nice. very professional. I arrived shortly after they were open and he took care of my smog very fast. There were 3 other people there and he was taking care of everyone quickly. Prices were better or comparative to many others in the area. I would recommend and return. Thank you for the pleasant experience. read more

I have been waiting here for at least 2 hour just for a smog I do not recommend this place to anyone especially if your in rush and he charges 60 dollar just for a smog crazy I pay 30 at Sacramento . read more

Been coming here for years. Fast and simple. In and out in 15 min if they're not busy. If you gotta wait just grab a bite at Granite's for some good cheesesteak! read more

STAR certified smog check service - fast and simple, easy in and easy out! Good price, friendly staff, good service, and walk in only (no appointment necessary). If you have a smog check notice required for your DMV registration renewals, this place has you covered! (Some spots do smog checks but aren't STAR certified so be careful.) Smog 1 is highly recommended and gets the job done. We'll be coming here from now on, every 2 years, for our smog check renewal needs! read more

This review is for a smog check, and honestly, it was exactly what I didn't know I needed. I went here last time too, so I could still taste the charming aroma of cement dust and "vintage" wear like millions of cars threw a party in this building and never cleaned up. The place isn't cluttered, just impressively old, like your grandpa's favorite recliner nobody dares to replace. The price? Spot on. The work? Fast....like they've done this a million times. read more

All they do is smog check. And, even though I'd only one person working, he's knows what he is doing and he does it well

Absolutely the worst customer service. The staff (Older White Man) was rude, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional when I approached him. There was another person who was waiting long before I arrived yet to be greeted. When we all started to leave was when he decided to address us. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Went to Smog 1. The tech, Mohamed, didn't pass me because I needed to get an emissions label that my car didn't have. Called my Honda dealer to get them to print one for $15. Came back two days later and he wasn't working. The new guy said I didn't need the emissions label to pass the smog test (annoying) and said Mohamed noted that it didn't pass due to catalytic converter being tampered with. I told him it was stolen 4 years ago and I got it replaced. So it obviously looks tampered with. And I have had a few smog checks since then. He said I needed to come back when Mohamed was working (a week later) and he couldn't re test me for free. I couldn't wait that long, so I ended up going to Smog King. They were wonderful. Was in and out in 20 mins with no problem. Should have just come to Smog King in the first place! read more

These guys are great. Fast and the price isn't too bad. The office is in the garage, and there is an air conditioned waiting room if you need it. I will go back for sure. read more

Smog 1 - Office in the garage. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Roseville, California

This place got best price for smog check in the town. Service is amazing and fast . Highly recommended

Smog 1 is a test only station, it is located off 9077 Foothills Blvd and Albertsons Dr, right next to Midas/ Speedee Oil Change. The smog center is run by an Asian fellow called Imran. He has been at this location since 2010.. He is polite, friendly, and efficient. The customer waiting room has 2 floor heaters which is nice. They also have a restroom. There is no free WiFi. There was a TV in a break room but it was not turned on. The cost is $50 for a Smog test and certificate. There is a coupon on their website. You are only waiting 15 mins or so as he works on the required smog tests for the car . You are in and out fairly quickly. read more

Gone are the days of cheap smog tests.... It was not too long ago when you could get a smog test for around $40 with certificate. Guess the price of everything has gone up. Not my first time here, because it's not too far from home and the worker/owner of this place seems friendly and accommodating when trying to use the coupon prices posted on their website. I believe Smog 1 is a test site only, so if you keep your car in good condition, you shouldn't have any issues passing. And if your car needs work, Midas is right next door. Only thing that could make this place better is the possibility of a free or discounted re-test if your car fails. read more

I've been taking my vehicles for smog inspection at Smog 1 since 2017. Mohammad is thorough, dependable, trustworthy and reliable. He works alone but he works at an efficient rate. If you live in the Roseville and Rocklin area, this is the smog place to go. I proudly endorse Mohammad and Smog 1. read more

Been going here for 15 years now, seen couple of ownerships , no complaints , knowledgeable, quick, gladly answer your questions if you want to put in aftermarket stuff on your bmw's so you can pass read more

Super friendly and reliable! I made a appt for smog check. Really enjoying talking with friendly people here.

Sometimes before you can renew your car registration, the notice you get from the DMV says that you have to get your smog check at a star certified establishment. This place is one of those! Roseville is not in a county that requires employees and customers to wear masks currently, but all of the staff here wear masks and they have multiple signs in the waiting area requesting that patrons also wear them. See them go above the minimum requirement shows me that they care about their customers. I will be coming back here for every smog check from now on. read more

Quick service, reasonable price. $60 total to smog my SUV, cheaper if you have a sedan. There were 2 people ahead of me but I was in and out within 30 min. read more

READ THIS! It's long, but truthful. I've been coming here with THREE vehicles for about 12 years. Always had a quick, smooth, great experience with the owner. That ended this week. He's hired a guy that is rude, argumentative, opinionated, aggressive. After doing my truck he gets me and asks where did I get my catalytic converter. It's not showing up in the system. I told him my cat had been stolen 4 years ago at the airport and was replaced (and paid for by insurance) by a reputable shop in South Sac on Florin Rd. That set him off. "There's no good shops on Florin Rd. or Franklin or Stockton Blvd. They're all shady." "What do you expect taking your truck to the airport. You should've taken an Uber." REALLY? Basically, accused me of trying to pull a fast one by having a fly-by-night shop do it. "That number doesn't match up to a particular brand in the system. It has to say year and brand. Otherwise, they could put this on any truck." I told him that shop was reputable, that I've used them numerous times. He still ranted about them being crooks. He showed me the number, that's on the cat, in the system. Ya, it doesn't say specifically my brand. Just LDT2/MDV. Ok, it's still listed. Not good enough for him. "I can't pass this. You'll have to take it to a smog referee." I told him the owner passed it 2 years ago and I have the paperwork. Showed him. It had the same number on it. PASSED. He accepted that only because of the past paperwork. I only kept my mouth shut because I wanted it done. Otherwise, I would've blown his ears back and left. What an ass! Mr. Owner, you need to fire this guy. You've lost my business and you'll lose more business. Going to Smog King now. Have another vehicle needing smog for next month. read more

This place, while not fancy by any means, is GREAT!! Their pricing is great and they are quick with getting my car smogged every time I am in there. They offer a heated waiting room which is nice during the winter months. No coupon is needed and I got out of there with a passed vehicle and it was only $50! read more

Good, fast service at a good price. They also handle the DMV portion so bring your paperwork. Overall it was a simple process and even with a few people ahead of me, I was done in no time. read more

Good spot to take my "heavy emitter" old Jeep that requires a STAR Station review. Their garage space is also big enough to fit a lifted Nissan Titan with a taller RTT. Air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter. If you have modifications... they are very thorough. Typical test time for OBD-ii vehicles is 15 minutes when there isn't a line. read more

First off, this is not associated with Midas at all. It is in the same building but they each are their own separate business. First off, Mohammed is very polite and and quick. This guys is here for one thing and you are there for one thing as well. Get your vehicle smogged and hope it passes. He can service you quickly so long you have your paper work handy and here is a tip! Get you odometer reading before you shut the door. It makes the paper work easier for him and you! I took my daughters '04 Mazda Mazda3 here in January and it failed. Mainly because there was a fuel filler leak and evap hose leak as well. He said get it fixed and come back within 30 days. I got what needed to be fixed and showed exactly 30 days later (though I would have showed up earlier but those with family and kids know how things can slip by rather quickly). 5 months later and as of this post I took my '00 Durango. A large RV was in front of me when I got there. Filled out my paper work, went to the bathroom to wash my hands and when I came out the RV was gone and my Durango was in line and ready to get smogged. Pass? Yep it did! And I was outta there! Thanks Mohammed! See ya in 6 months as I know my Caddy will need to be Smogged as well! read more

Smog 1 - Front entrance if SMOG 1. Best SMOG Station in Roseville to date! - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Roseville, California

Quick service with a good price. Got there early in the morning and waited about 15 minutes with one person in front of me.

I will not be going to Smog1 again. Dean was condescending and complained about having to do my smog. If your vehicle just needs to be plugged in for smog, no big deal. But if he has to actually work, he will complain about it. He even tried to give me a hard time for wanting to put bigger tires on my vehicle. This is not my primary vehicle, and also this is America. Sorry that I'm not your typical California socialist. After failing due to the previous owner's terrible exhaust work, I bought a CARB approved catalytic converter and had a new exhaust installed. The exhaust guy took much longer to finish, and I wasn't able to come into Smog1 until later that day. "You're late" is the first thing Dean says to me when I walk in. Mind you, I did not have an appointment so no harm on scheduling. Dean continued to be condescending and hinted that I did all the exhaust work and was trying to get around the system. I have almost half of what I bought the vehicle for into this smog/ registration process. The exhaust guy installed the cat to where the EO number was on top, but still clearly visible on the part. I asked questions about the cat itself, and you could clearly tell Dean did not want to do his job. After having enough of his attitude, I left and went to another local shop who got me in right away and even gave me a discount. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SMOG1 read more

They are extremely nice and even went beyond while servicing my car for smog. Air conditioned waiting room, clean and friendly.

Absolutely terrible! He revved my car so high he blew up my thermostat and on top of that he put the wrong license plate on the Smog Certificate. Avoid at all costs. read more

Quick, friendly, reliable service at far price. Mohammed is a competent and warm person.

The service was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this place and return with my other vehicles.

Very polite and professional! In and out in 10 min. Best price after searching other options. Will be a repeat client.

First, let me start by saying this entire industry (smog control and the subsequent companies that provide service) are participating in a government sanctioned shakedown. It's remarkable that the mafia isn't somehow involved at some level. I arrived to get my Jeep smog checked. By the way, I had to pay close to $3000 when I moved here 2 years ago to exchange the carburetor for a California certified fuel injection system. I took the yelp reviews here as an indication that perhaps this might be a descent place to get my car smogged. Don't believe all the unicorns and rainbow reviews. Nope. According to the man, "we don't take that kind of car." I felt perhaps I was somehow experiencing automobile discrimination. I asked, "what kind of car is that?" "Your kind." He responded. And I asked "Why is my car unacceptable?" And he replied, "it's too old." So I asked, "do you know where I can get it checked?" His response walking away was "not my problem." So now I am making it a bit of his problem. Unless your car is brand new or nearly new, apparently you will be turned away. I would not go here, nor would I suggest anyone else go or you might risk wasting time. He was not helpful, not at all concerned about service, and from a human being point of view, he could care less. read more

I visited in the middle of covid. This location is a way from where I currently live. There will be no waiting area while covid is still going on. The prices have definitely gone up. He wasn't friendly at the least this time. Got the smog check in not nearly efficient manner. I will likely look for another place closer and less. There are definitely competing places at prices cheaper. read more

As good as it gets. Good, fast service at the best possible price. Don't go looking for free Keurig coffee or like a beautiful aquarium to gaze at while you wait. This is get in. Get out. Pay. Adios. FYI - The tech that did my cars recently was practicing COVID-aware servicing. 6 feet, gloves, mask, hand sanitizer everywhere etc. I'm sure I'll be back in two years when I need another smog check. read more
