This was my first time to Smog Busters, in Loomis. I didn't even know it was there. It is next door to Napa Auto Parts. When I walked in there was a customer ahead of me. It was only about five minutes before the technician came out from the back bay area. The technician, Maurice (Mo), finished up with that customer and immediately started helping me. Mo was very pleasant. From the time he entered my info into computer, moving my car into back bay, completing the smog check, and finishing up payment, I was out of there in about 20 minutes. That was the fastest, and easiest smog check I have ever had, and I have had a lot of smog checks over the years. I will absolutely return to Smog Busters. Thank you Maurice! read more

Have never been her before. Came to front desk and the guy working it was a completely rude and unprofessional. Attitude for no reason. I asked if I could pull my car around back and he mumbled. "It's just a corvette". Yes well it's my corvette I paid for. Would not recommend coming here endless you want to be treated horribly. read more

I came in for a routine smog check and left without one due to the attitude and confusion of the person working the counter. I waited while he finished what he was doing. When he asked if I needed a smog, I said yes. He then asked if I had paperwork. I said no. He responded, "No paperwork at all?" and proceeded to list off things like registration and even the title, which struck me as sarcastic and unnecessary for a basic smog check. At that point it was clear this wasn't going to be a professional or straightforward interaction, so I walked out. California smog checks are electronic, and plenty of shops handle this process without making customers feel like they've done something wrong. This one didn't, and the tone alone was enough to take my business elsewhere. read more

Great place to get your smog done! I was in and out, top tier service and super friendly man that helped us out. I am very pregnant at the moment and he handed me the remote to watch tv. very thoughtful! He had no problem us asking amillion questions cause we were trying to sell our car and needed smog to do it even though he really didn't need to answer any of those questions. I called, I told the person I have a mid engine car, she said fine. Come on over veg are not busy. I get there and the technician who sees my car and says park in front. I go in and there's no one one there. They have a bowl of mandarins, which is nice even though they are very underripe. Eventually, the same technician comes back and tells me he's not allowed to remove the car cover on my Porsche Cayman(mid engine) and so I wasted an hour of my time Because of incompetence. The technician was nice enough, but should've recognized my car as having a mid engine when he saw it. This was the fourth smog shop I've been to today trying to get my car smog. All the other ones were kind enough to tell me right away they couldn't do the job. It's keeping me waiting for 45 minutes that got a bit annoying. read more

This place is near by Loomis. First time came here. This place only has one guy behind the desk and he is also the guy will bring your car to the back to do the smog check. Can't say much but he was fast. One person in front of me. Then he did it pretty quickly and then came back after that helped me. Once it's done, did the payment and ready to go. He also honor the coupon. Reasonable price, fast service. Not a long wait time. Definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Especially they do have the coupon that help save some $. The first time I went to Smog Busters I had a great experience, an older gentleman helped me out. He was friendly, knowledgeable and fast. We had a pleasant conversation and he interacted well with everyone else that was in the lobby. My most recent visit wasn't pleasant. A middle aged gentleman was working. Not friendly, not nice and he seemed to be irritated in general. I would understand if he was busy, but I appeared to be the only person in the shop. I was in the wrong for not bringing a registration or a current one. Unfortunately I had lost it. He said he needed it to type in the vin and license plate number. I said I don't have it, but I can get it. That's when his attitude shifted from irritated to rude. He said you don't have an old one anywhere. I said no, and told him I can go somewhere else. He said fine and I said I can find someone else to take my money. As happy as I was by my first visit the second visit made sure I'll forever drive right past Smog Busters and go somewhere else. Maybe the guy was having a bad day but me having a bad day doesn't mean I you can give people bad or indifferent service. read more

Well, where to begin...If you go to this location and a fellow by the name of Maurice is working, you may want to turn around and go find somewhere else to get your smog check done. He was extremely rude to the customer in front of me, before failing the vehicle because HE wasn't able to find the O2 Sensor. When it was my turn I was literally greeted with, "What do you want?"... I had left my registration in the car so I had to go out and get it, no problem. When I handed it to Maurice, he says, "You okay? You seemed a little offended when I asked you to go get your registration." At this point I was confused and wondered if I had done something, but based on how he treated the previous customer it seems that this is just the average level of customer service you'll get from Maurice. I intend to find out who runs this shop and make a formal complaint. Completely unacceptable. read more

Visit on 12/9/2022. SMOG BUSTERS (Loomis) is very close to my house and the guy who works there is always a professional. Pricing is fair and the smog check always gets done in a timely and efficient manner. Also they're great about sending the record to DMV right away. The last time I was in I was able to renew/pay my registration on CA DMV website within 4 hours of completing the smog. Nice work! Will always come back (every 2 years) - as long as they're open. read more

Customer service is huge for me. I left the Roseville location yesterday because the attendant there was rude. Not a great impression for a first time visit. I needed to find a location where we can get our other cars smogged too. So I visited another location. Jimmy at the Loomis location was kind and applied the company coupon when I mentioned it. (Enter your email address on the Smog Busters site to access the coupon just in case. It saved me $20. I brought my car in to get a smog check and the guy behind the counter was great. The shop is clean and I appreciated being able to watch Fox News while I was waiting for my service. The guy here thanked me for bringing in all my required paperwork and my car was in and out promptly. I highly recommend it unless you prefer watching MSNBC. I call today to ask for some special customer care for my elderly mother who needed to get a car smogged immediately. The lady that helped me was so gracious and patient and alerted the gentleman at the Loomis location that my mother was coming in. I was also astonished at the price by the way, it was very reasonable. After the successful smog check my mother apparently left her purse with her cell phone in it and drove off. Lisa who made the appointment for me called me and notified me that they were about to close and they would hold my mother's purse for the next day. My mother's cell phone is her only communication and they were about to close. I let them know that my mother absolutely needed her phone. This very kind woman volunteered to drive from the other location 10 miles away to pick up the purse and deliver it to my mother at her home. I have never experienced customer service with such generosity and graciousness. Please send all of your family and friends to Smog Busters, they are located in Loomis, California and also Roseville, California. Hats off to some good old fashion kindness! After being a customer at the location on Douglas blvd for a few years I was excited to learn about this new location closer to my home. When I arrived I was greeted in a very friendly manner and was in and out in what felt like less than 10 minutes! I can say I've never had my car smogged so fast! They took care of all the work notifying the DMV and I was able to complete my DMV registration within a couple of hours.
