2020 wasn't a good year at all! The month of October Sucked for me because I was in two accidents! Ugh! First, I was hit head on by a distracted driver! Luckily I was in a residential hood. I was able to divert the impact by swerving my car. I got all his info and after recommendation from my son, I chose to bring it to Smitty's. In my previous experiences with body shops, we were never satisfied. Let me tell you, I have gone to the more well known places and I had to bring my car back multiple times, just because the work was shoddy! I got my estimate from the other party, I had my son look it over and he told me to take it to Smitty's. After looking over the estimate, found out that they gave me an estimate for after market parts, not OK! If my car was older I might be ok with it, but since my car was newer, I wanted it back to factory. Jamie, made arrangements for me to get a rental and she handled the correspondence with the insurance company to get OEM parts for my car. FYI, OEM is factory parts. If the accident wasn't your fault, why should you settle for cheap after market parts? My front end was fixed better than new! I had my car back less than a week and we were stopped at a light and out of nowhere this kid slammed into us! WTH?!? I ended up taking my car back to Smitty's! I'm super picky when it comes to the body work but Smitty's has done such an amazing job! I can't tell at all that it was in two accidents! From our previous experiences, we have taken our car to a very well known body shop-NEVER AGAIN! We had no complaints whatsoever! Corey and Jamie are phenomenal! Absolutely astounding work, when I picked up my car, it was absolutely stunning and it was a positive night and day difference from when i dropped it off, I had my sun shade canopy and a steel pole fall down on my far left front and a 7" diagonal dent across my hood as well as many scuffs from the canopy on my roof. I was so broken hearted to have this happen to my dream car; which I have only had for 8 months. Smitty's was highly recommended from a family friend and we contacted them about taking on my car, they happily took on my challenger's repair. I was driving from almost 2 hours away since Smitty's was the only auto body shop i wanted to work on it. Fast forward to today I just picked my car up, I was so happy to see my baby back in tip top shape looking better than when I brought it home from the dealership!! (And I'm not over exaggerating) You definitely get your money's worth and more with them. Not only did they fix my car but Jamie gave me frequent updates and Corey shared his cast amount of knowledge with me by providing tips and information. Should you bring your car to these guys you will not regret it. I 110% recommend these guys if you have any body damage or have been in an accident or even have just rock chips. My fiancé just dropped her car off to Smitty's today as well needing repair work done. I was heartbroken after I smashed in the front. But gratefully Smitty's accepted the insurance work for my 1971 Karmann Ghia. I have a single stage two tone custom paint job & I was nervous about being in "paint jail" and having the paint match correctly. After multiple phone calls with the extremely patient owner, Corey, I turned my baby over to his care. The repair was spot on and you can't even tell I was hit. In general, I'm not a review leaver. However, I'm making my review debut for this amazing company. I brought my car in back in January to get it back to new after having backed it very thoroughly into a tree. Corey and his team took great care of my girl and had her back to me looking better than new real quick. I was happy then. I'm even happier now after a bolt fell out of my steering column (completely unrelated to any work done here, they worked on the back end) last night. I brought it to him first because he was the closest and I was happy with the service I got from them before. Now mechanical stuff I think is not typically their jam, but he assured me he would be able to get me squared away. In no time he had fixed not just the bolt, but also got me rear drivers side window working for me again (unrelated to the bolt, just needed to be done). It was a quick fix, less than an hour after he dropped everything when I got there. When I asked what I owed him, he said no charge. Did he not charge me because it was a quick fix? Cuz he is a nice guy? Because I'd dropped a pretty penny there already earlier this year (I did some pretty solid damage when I hit the tree)? I don't know. Honestly, probably all three. But I don't care, it doesn't matter. If I had to say it's all three. He helped me out and did the nice guy thing to boot! Here's hoping the only other issues I ever have with my car are issues they can help with. 5 stars for a great, reliable, friendly neighborhood shop. Our 2017 Prius was involved in a front end collision. A friend of ours who owns several automotive shops recommended Smitty's for the body repair. We give 5 stars to Smitty's which we rarely do as we thought Corey and his team did an outstanding job all around. They communicated to us in a friendly and clear manner, they showed excellent attention to car details, repaired the car so that it was like new. The front office staff handled well all the interfacing with the insurance company which was a relief. And most of all, the entire staff demonstrated clear pride in their work. The entire process went off without unnecessary problems. We should mention that our insurance company tried to get us to go to one of their auto body shops they are partnered with but at least in Ca. you are legally allowed to go where you want. We are really happy we followed the advice of our friend and used Smitty's. Hopefully there will not be a next time but if so, we will certainly use them again. read more

It was so worth traveling over 4 hours to do business with Smitty's Auto Body. My husband is a true "car enthusiast" and a perfectionist to say the least; without question, the workmanship from Smitty's was the finest that he has ever seen! My husband unfortunately got rear-ended (at a high speed) in a parking lot and his 2011 Acura TL needed to have some bodywork, and paintwork done. The party who rear-ended him had their insurance company taking care of everything as they were at fault. So, luckily, Jamie at Smitty's Autobody was a pro with dealing with that. She deals with the insurance companies and the sort on a regular basis; she was so helpful with that and made our worries go away! Smitty's Autobody made certain that we got only the best (and factory-made) original Acura parts for our vehicle, no matter how hard they had to push the insurance company to approve those parts. They didn't mind waiting to have the parts shipped nor keeping our car longer. It was well worth it to Smitty's Autobody to take its time to have a great end result. They are definitely NOT the type of shop that just slaps the car together and gets it out on the road to just get the insurance check. They take PRIDE in their work and it is evident! Corey and his team did such an amazing job with our car that when my husband had an appointment with our insurance company and they asked to see the car, they were shocked at the AMAZING work! That is coming from an insurance company, which I'm sure sees lots of body work on a regular basis. That says a lot! When we drove the four hours to go pick up our car after it was finished, the outside of the car was not only pristine and looking like new, but the inside of the car was even detailed! The best auto body repair shop in Northern California is in Meadow Vista. If you do not live near Meadow Vista, the drive still will be worth it. A five-star business. Professional, friendly, courteous. They did a wonderful job on my 2017 Subaru Forester which had accumulated three dings to the paint, plastic and metal on the body of my car. There was damage to the rear area above the bumper (the imprint of a screw into the paint) which involved an insurance claim against me, so I had the other two areas repaired at the same time. Corey Smith explained every step of the process: the cost, what, why and how it would be repaired - the least expensive way first if possible, but if not, then what would be done. They accomodated me in every possible way - helping me get a rental car through my insurer (AAA) who told me I had to drive to the Truckee, CA airport Hertz dealer to pick up my car. This was approximately a 150 round trip - and I would have to return the car too. All bumps in the road that eventually were overcome, thanks to Smitty's great team. read more
