My vehicle had been…read morehaving intermittent starting issues for about 4 months, and last week, my car up & died while I was driving, thankfully after 20 or so minutes it started & I was able to drive home. I took it to a mechanic (No Name) here in CH and they billed me $210.00 and couldn't locate the issue, so I brought it home. Well, this past Saturday my car wouldn't start, so I was told by a very good friend that I take it to TN3 Automotive, which I did (Had my car towed) on Tuesday. I'd previously contacted the owner, Tom, informing him my car was being towed to his shop, and so he took basic information regarding what types of issues I'd been experiencing, which I provided. I met Tom the following day, and he was genial, kind, listened intently, and just a solid individual through & through. He exudes honesty & integrity, and assured me he'd locate the issue, and he did just that. The thoroughness of his Teams assessment of my vehicle, every part captured by clear photos that included a specific narrative of my car parts issue, and whether it was deemed an emergency fix, or just watch & keep an eye on it was noted, & reassuring. Not once did he advise that I needed this or that done to my vehicle, but clearly enunciated in line of priority things I should take care of. Ended up being a PGMFI Main Start Relay why my car wouldn't start. Out the door for $340.00. Car is running excellent!! I have very high expectations of service providers, and he exemplifies the highest of integrity & standards!! They had to drop the engine; but, he called me to come see what was required and explained every step and why it was so costly. He never pushed me to do something that wasn't required; but, explained how I might want to do some future work while the engine was already apart. Bottom line, he saved me several thousand dollars over what the dealer would have charged and the care and end result was exceptional! Instead of using glue or clamps he actually sent parts out to be welded together an actually exceeded factory specs, at little to no additional cost! They are craftsmen not just mechanics! I chose this shop because I valued their quick response and honesty. My initial impression of Jesse…read morewas positive. He seemed trustworthy and eager to get my truck fixed correctly. Unfortunately, my experience has been frustrating. I spent over $2,500 on a rack and pinion replacement, oil pan repair, and rear shocks, yet the second rack and pinion is also leaking. The original part has been discontinued by the dealer, so only remanufactured units are available, which can be hit or miss. I appreciated the effort to get it done correctly, but when I mentioned the continued leak to Jesse, his response was that it was better than the first one. The alignment is off, and the lever to adjust my steering column was broken during service. If you use this shop, I would recommend doing your own alignment to avoid damage. The original oil pan repair addressed some seepage, but not the main leak, and now I am being quoted an additional $1,200 to fix the upper oil pan gasket. I feel this should have been properly diagnosed before charging so much. Jesse said the work would take 2 to 3 days, so I dropped off the truck on Wednesday with the expectation it would be ready Friday, but I did not pick it up until Sunday night. This caused a major inconvenience, and the truck is still not working correctly. He offered to fix the issues if I bring it back, but wants me to pay more for a leak that was already in progress. I received a quote from another shop that was $500 cheaper. Jesse mentioned he would reimburse me and reinstall my old oil pan, but I just want the truck repaired correctly so it does not leak and works properly. While the team worked hard and I appreciate their effort, the truck was not ready on the promised timeline, and the repairs have not fully resolved the issues. I rely on my truck for work and need it to function properly. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere.
