Also several other items like suspension and the whole bed bouncing all over the frame. And replacing the single cylinder brakes with a double cylinder and disk brakes. And much more. Before taking it to them I could only go 45 mph. Not safe for the freeway... they are making it safe to be able to drive and stop as it should. It's a 1953 chevy. I don't trust just anyone to work on grandpa's Truck. These guys are the most trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanics I've met. One of the guys used to work on race cars. He told me he could do some modifications to my truck to make it go really fast, but I just want to be able to go safely on the freeway. The only water source is the AC unit on the roof at the rear of the coach which happens to be above the bedroom. I immediately suspected a clogged drain line. Supporting that suspicion was the lack of condensation build-up coming out of the drain line (the front AC unit was draining just fine). Although this can be an easy DIY fix, I am a senior and still recovering from a terrible ladder accident/fall so going up on the roof was not an option for me. I called a mobile RV repair service and they quoted me a minimum of $600 for the repair. A person at the RV storage facility we use suggested I call American RV Service Center. I called last week and spoke to Morgan. She was very helpful but initially said her next opening was in August. I told her we are going on an outing July 22nd. She said she would see what she could do to get us in before then. After a few minutes she came back on the line and told me because it was presumably a simple fix she could get me in Friday the 19th. She advised me they charge $175 an hour and it shouldn't take more than 2 hours. Today (the 19th) they got our coach in. The tech found there was no clog, the line was clear. He did find that the drain hose connected to the pump did not have a clamp securing it. He put a clamp on it, confirmed that the pump was working and then tested the system. With the bedroom AC unit on for a while, the system began draining the condensation build up, operating normally. No leaking inside. Problem fixed. Morgan was great to work with throughout this process. They went above and beyond to get us taken care of knowing we have an outing planned. The temps will be in the triple digits where we're going and having both AC units working will be a life saver! Their service costs are fair and their customer service was excellent. At this point I'm kinda irritated by the customer service so I'm trying to get out of there as fast as possible... MY MISTAKE. As I'm on the freeway heading home which is about 40 minutes away I notice a significant amount of black stains on the back and butt area of my seat, completely all over my arm rest and even on my passenger seat! I understand all shops don't have the funds for plastic coverings on seats and that's ok ‍ but when your working on a car you definitely notice how much you change an appearance of something you fix it. When I called to ask if it could've been them they immediately attempted to blame it on the tow truck driver who dropped off my vehicle but the tow truck driver only took it off of the bed of his truck he did not load it. The tow truck driver even uploaded his own pictures on my insurance app so I know for a fact it wasn't him. When I brought that up to whoever answered the phone he simply said "alright then, you can come bring it in so I can wipe it down". I didn't pay you guys so that I could drive in a dirty car and then bring it back to you so that you can clean it with your dollar store cleaner.‍ I should've added the pictures in the moment but life happens and I had better things to do than to complain and drive 40 miles for you guys to not clean my car right.
