We had a nail in our right rear tire and we went to our dealer where we bought the tires from but they said that they do not service tires. They recommended a tire shop near their dealership. We went to that business and we were told that we needed to replace all four tires otherwise we would "damage" our transmission. They said this without unmounting the tire and inspecting it thoroughly. Needless to say, we left w/o engaging their service. We drove to Souza's Tire Service yesterday and we were greeted professionally and promptly despite the fact that we did not have an appointment. The technician immediately unmounted the tire and then tested it in the shop. Upon testing, he determined that the nail was short and did not puncture the tire. He remounted the tire and then proceeded to check the air pressure on all four tires. Afterwards he told us that everything was ok and that we could safely drive off. We asked him for the invoice and he told us that there was no charge because he did not have to patch the tire. This tire shop is very professional, honest and takes pride in their work and reputation. Despite the fact that the tire did not need patching, the technician still did work that we felt should be compensated for. Nevertheless, we were told no charge which we greatly appreciated. We also appreciated the fact that they saved us from having to needlessly replace all four tires. We will use Souza's Tire Service for all of our tire needs. Thank you again!!! Was just here to get a spare tire fixed/replaced. They were pretty busy. I told him to take his time and i could wait. After a while he came, told me the spare was fine and it just needed air. I told him it was over 20 yrs old and it didnt look safe. He told me he couldnt order a replacement, offered no suggestions and just walked off to talk to someone else. I had told him I also needed 4 tires for my pickup, and maybe a new wheel and I guess he was not interested in those possible sales. Made me feel like I was wasting his time and I ended up going to another tire place on the other side of town, where I had initially come from. So I wasted nearly an hour of my time but I guess I should have called first. My parents managed a Big O Tires for years. While I did not learn tire basics from them, I do know how customer service goes in a tire shop and this wasnt it. The other tire shop also could not order a replacement but at least directed me to a few other places and gave me some advice. I will be getting my tires from them once I find a spare for my old pickup. +1 star for not trying to sell me something I dont need and +1 star as they were busy at the time. However, I was told by several friend's that this shop had the most honest shop owner in the tire business. And I had been to other shops trying to upsell me on tires I didn't need. As a single woman i was a little skeptical. But from the very first moment I dropped my car and entered the shop, I felt at ease. The shop owner advised me that I didnt really need 4 tires, I could get by with two, and all the other shops informed me that they would not sell just 2 ? By the way, the tires are Cooper's and a better price than other local tire stores. That impressed me. They were so fast, no standing in line no waiting for an hour. Souza looked at his tires and said the others were good for another year, and while he did not have the exact same tire new in stock, he did have a used one that had the same tread and suggested that would be better to keep them the same. I was referred to Souza's by a friend who said they loved this business. . I had an appointment, showed up, and my locking lug nut key was missing. The friendly man at the desk scrounged around looking for one but the three he tried wouldn't work. I left and went to the Honda dealership and they gave me one. Twenty five minutes before Souza's closed, I called and told the friendly person at the counter that I had the key and asked if I could return and have my new tires installed. He said YES. I went in to get air for my tires and they were able to do so immediately. They let me know my tires were in pretty bad shape, something I never look at, but they were bald and cracking. I was able to get a quote, recommendation, and appointment before it started storming again. Somewhere in the line of communication we got mixed up and I realized I had the wrong tires on. They are fast and got my tires installed within 30min. Staff are professional and friendly. The price was also the lowest from the other quotes that I got; however, there were drawbacks at least in my experience. All lug nuts on my car were over torqued, so I went home and loosened up everything and re-torqued everything to factory spec. Tires were also overinflated. Lastly, my wheels were a bit scuffed up during the tire mounting process. My wheels were not perfect asI had a couple minor curb rash; however, I hand wash my cars, so I know which new vs old damages. Other than that, it was a good experience. If I am not a car enthusiast or if my cars had steelies, I would definitely be a returning customer. read more

I was told by other mechanics that I should replace my tires soon and they were eager to give me a quote. I declined their offer and drove away. About 3 months afterward, my tire pressure alerts came on and I booked an appointment at Souza's thinking I would get them replaced. He said oh no, the tires are still good, all they need is air. He filled them up for me and told me to come back in a few months after some road trips. I called last week to schedule my appointment and they gave me several options with specific details about the brands/mileage for my car and said they would order them and have them in by Tuesday. He had my total within seconds of telling me the type of tire and didn't even require a deposit. I went in for my appointment today at 1 and my car was ready within 45 minutes.
