So I have to turn around and ask to have it checked. They put it on the rafter and say they see nothing. They tell me to wait for some unknown tag to wear out. It's a loud flapping sound. My wife gets a nail in the tire of her Mercedes. I suggest she go to America's Tire because of that experience. Tires are just over a year old and have even wear with about 13,000 mi on them. "I've got bad news ma'am, you need four new tires." "Aw...", she said, "I've got bad news, too. When I actually do need new tires in about 30,000 miles, they won't come from here." That's what you get when you target a smart lady in a Merc. Sunrise Tire in Rancho Cordova has our business now. It's a drive, but prices are great and no BS. I just returned from America's Tire in Rocklin, CA to purchase four tires and get an all-wheel alignment for my 2009 Nissan 370Z. Wow, I was impressed with their customer service! One gentleman greeted me with a handshake as I entered the store and took down my contact information and told me someone would be calling me soon. Less than 10 minutes later, an adviser called me to discuss my needs and to examine my tires with a hand-held scanner. He explained my tire options and we agreed on a suitable tire brand and model. When my car was placed on the rack, a technician came to me to explain what was being done and the status. After the wheel alignment, another technician came to me to explain the alignment process and to explain the report printout showing that one of my wheels was definitely off. The waiting area is very comfortable with padded chairs, clean restrooms, and an outdoor table/bench where I could read while waiting. I highly recommend this Rocklin shop. Very friendly and professional. Kudos to the manager for building such a great team! read more

I came here last year when all 4 of the tires on my Tesla had to be changed. The employee helped me choose the best tire options based on how much I drive and luckily I got the last 4 they had so they were able to make the exchange the same day. Work was done in a quick and efficient manner. I've since come back for 2 tire rotations and on the most recent one they found a nail in one of my tires. It was quickly patched up and I was back on the road. One suggestion I have though is for employees to check on tire rebates. When I purchased mine, I did some Googling and found out I was eligible for a mail-in-rebate which I wasn't offered until I asked about it. read more

I came in to get my tire plugged for one of my corvette wheels. The tech that helped me when I dropped it off was awesome and super helpful. Unfortunately, when I came to pick my wheel up, I noticed some new damage that wasn't present when I dropped it off. Austin came out to take a look and even said "yeah, that's on us" when looking at the various imperfections. There some that was already there prior but seemed to agree on the new damage on the edges was their fault. Austin took photos and advised to me to get a quote on refinishing. He also said anything over $200 requires a claim to be filed. So I call around for rim repairs to get a quote and call their store and now Austin seems to be denying fault of the damage, but he said he would speak with the manager and get back to me. I figured I'll just wait to speak to the manager when they reach out, rather than go back and forth. It's now been over a month and I haven't received any call back. I can admit, I should've taken photos prior to the service, which is why is wasn't expecting that it was a sure thing I'd get any reimbursement, but I do expect to be contacted back when I'm told I would be regarding the situation. What was the point of you taking photos of the wheel and for me getting a quote for repair? I'm not sure if Austin even spoke to his manager about it or not. 2 stars for the good service I received when dropping off and that the patch service is at no charge. Otherwise, it would be 1 star for being pushed to the side and ghosted. I'd advise to take your nicer wheels to another business that will take better care with installing tires or at the very least, take good photos of the condition prior to dropping them off. read more

Ladies don't get haggled! Got a nail in the tire (EV9) brought it in with my husband 2 days ago. Went through the whole inspection process. The guy told us that all tires are at 6/32 and getting close to the recommended 4/32 to replace all tires. We said no, we just want to fix the one with a nail. My husband spoke most of the time, I just listened. They had to order our tire and said it would be in on Friday. Friday, they call my husband, tire is in. I take it in because my husband is at work. New guy does the inspection again. (I told him we were just here and they already ordered the part). He still needed to do the "safety" inspection. Funnily, now our tires are reported to be at 5/32 based on his report. I haven't driven the car since finding out there was a nail in the tire. He is now saying I should replace all 4 tires as replacing only one could have a negative impact on the transmission. I drive a Kia EV9. It's fully electric and has no transmission. ‍ I could tell the guy was annoyed/caught off guard when I stated this. (That seems to be a typical line they all use to get you to buy more tires) Just a little back story: I just had the routine service at Kia and they said that all tires look good with 60% life still on them. (This was on Wednesday, it is now Friday, so 2 days) Time Details: 10:15am - arrival time 10:29am - After inspection and what I thought was the check-in based on the receipt provided (attached for reference) 12:00pm - Estimated completion time as I was told 90 min wait My husband checked the tracker app and it said I arrived between 11:02-11:22 (false) 12:00pm - The time I thought my 1 tire would be done, my car had still not entered the bay for repair. I had a feeling they would brush me to the back of the line because I didn't upgrade my purchase. Glad I walked home instead of just waiting there (20 min walk). Who knows when my car will be done. ‍ I have 3 kids at home on summer break, I don't have all day to sit around because they couldn't upsell me. Just beware of their little pitch. They will do their "safety" inspection with their little tire reader. Bring you inside, show you some chart saying that you should replace all 4 tires as they are approaching 4/32 and that doing just 1 will impact your transmission. If you turn down an upgrade to your purchase be prepared to wait the max amount of time. I suggest maybe bringing a ride with you if you don't live in walking distance or you will be wasting a good chunk of time here. read more

Needed my tire pressure to be fixed after America's tire at another location didn't do their due diligence. Came here and parked at the tire pressure check spot. After waiting for 10 minutes, I had to walk into the store and let them know I was there to get my tires aired. In those 10 minutes of me waiting, multiple workers looked over at me from the garage and just ignored me. No greeting, no coming over to ask me what I needed. In fact, they were just kind of standing around talking to each other. I was trying to avoid getting out of my car in the 100°+ weather, but guess I had to since they didn't want to assist. Yes, my tires are 5 to 6 years old, but there is plenty of tread left on them. No I don't need new tires. My wipers? They're just fine thank you. I would give zero stars if available. I brought my vehicle in for the second alignment after the first one, 5 days prior, left my vehicle pulling to the right. Following the second alignment, the technician informed me they should have fixed it the first time and was unsure why they did not and showed me the "red" indicators on the print out where the issue was. Upon getting into my vehicle, the glove box was open and all the contents were out on the passenger seat. After putting the contents back, I began to drive away from the shop and found the radio and blinkers had no audible sounds (never had any issues prior to bringing the vehicle in this afternoon). I called and asked what happened and was told they had to jump start my vehicle because the battery died during service (was not told initially about this) and it's possible they blew a fuse during the jump. I asked if I brought it back to the shop if they could fix it, they said they could not because they did not have the "proper tools" to fix the problem. They told me to take it to My Auto Surgeon to see if they could fix the issue. It is 4pm the day before Christmas eve. So, tomorrow is Christmas eve and we are traveling out of town with the family with no radio sounds and blinkers that do not work properly. Needless to say I would recommend people find a different place to do business. read more

I had a tire blow out on me this morning and it ended up ruining my rims as well, I took it in around 4pm as that's the soonest I could bring it over as it didn't have the spare on it until 3:45pm. The gentlemen working the counter Jamison was very friendly, he listened to what my issue was and came out to take a look. I can't say enough good things about the Rocklin America's Tire! On my way to work, my car suddenly developed a very bad vibration/shake on the freeway. I pulled in, and Joe soon figured out that the foam liner inside one of my tires (used to reduce road noise) had detached and was flopping around. Joe was so kind and walked me through my options. Since I needed to get to work, I chose to have the liner removed and deal with the dealer later. He took care of it at no charge--which absolutely made my week after a couple of tough days. I ordered trailer tires online and they arrived within the next day. They were very communicative about the tires arriving and reminding me of my appointment. So the day came for me to bring in the trailer and it hasn't been on the road for years. I spent all morning getting it ready to tow and was running late. I called them and it wasn't a problem. They could reschedule on the fly. I got my trailer adjusted properly and was ready to take it to the shop. They were kind enough to let me drive in without an appointment and they have really good service. When I pulled up, they were already directing me on where to park. They had me in and out in about 30 minutes. The shop got really busy while I was waiting, but they had three service writers. The guys were really nice and were really pleasant. DO NOT EVER GO HERE FOR ANYTHING!!!! I have been doing business with America's tire for over 20 years. I've always sent my daughter in there and they've always taken very good care of her until today. She went in there to get her tires rotated and on her new car they told her she needed new tires. They lied to her and told her that because it's a Tesla, the weight distribution is more on the rear than the front which causes the rear tires to wear out before 6000 miles. They told her that even Tesla requires the tires to be replaced every 6000 miles. I told her do not do anything and we then went to Tesla. Because of the way Tesla lays out the battery in their vehicles, Teslas are the most evenly distributed weight vehicle on the roads. Tesla stated that they do not require tires being replaced every 6000 miles but that they require what is industry standard every six years or if they wear out sooner. Also, Tesla showed us that her tires were nowhere near the wear bars. If you don't know what wear bars are, those are little bars that indicate that the wear of the tire has gotten to a point where they need to be replaced. Americas tire has a little handheld machine that they scan each tire and shows the remainder of the wear on your tires. This is proof that they calibrate their machines to lie to their customers. I called their local business office and basically was laughed at by them. America's tire used to be a good place to do business, but no more. Do not ever take your car into America's tire unless you want to be lied to and stolen from. in this post, you will find pictures of each tire on the vehicle. As you can see all four tires still had an incredible amount of tread on them. This business has become extremely crooked and criminal. Again, do not send your family or friends to America's tire ever again. They offer free rotation in free tire repair. that's their way to get you in to lie to you and to tell you you need new tires when you don't. We didn't fall for it and neither should you. read more

We just spent over 1,000 dollars on our daughter's tires 3 weeks ago. My husband went into the Rocklin store to check on a tire he felt was loosing air. They removed a "nail" from the tire and told him it wasn't repairable (we didn't see any nail and on the outside of the tire where the repair isn't typically repairable) and tried to charge us for all four tires. Later, they stated they would credit us for one tire and give no other credit for the other 3. Spoke with the manager and they wouldn't give any other help even with black Friday being a few days away. Definitely don't recommend their services. Deeply disappointed. read more

I have been going here for years and the service is consistently good. I am always treated with professionalism every time I go. When I've had a tire patched and when I bought new tires, the wait was shorter than expected. You can make an appointment online or walk in. I appreciate what they are able to honor online sales that end the day prior. The only complaint I have is that when they entered the tire order for me, I wasn't asked if I wanted the add on coverage that is optional.
