That would be the peeps at El Dorado Hills Big O Tire! I need my car! I need my car running and in good driving order. When some problem arises which may put my vehicle in jeopardy...I panic. That happened a few weeks ago at the end of the day when a light appeared on my dashboard showing a tire pressure issue. With some major trips coming up for me and not knowing where to take my car... I had a toss-and-turn kind of night. Up early the next day with coffee in hand, I searched Yelp. There it was just a few miles from my house. Big O Tire! Wasting not a minute, I drove there and was greeted by Steve behind the counter who immediately took my keys and went to my car to check things out. I was feeling pretty happy and relieved at that point. Upon returning he said they would pull it in the service area and do a more thorough look. Not too long after, he brought a photo of my tire with a nail deeply embedded. Ugh! Unfortunately, I had purchased a set of off brand tires at another tire center about a year or so before so they were not that old. Steve searched for a tire replacement and found the tire brand no longer available. I have AWD, so darn it, all the tires have to match. Well I did end up purchasing new michelins. They scrambled to find them and by the end of the day I was set . Sooo grateful my important next day trip was not compromised. I personally want to thank Steve, Tanner, and Jonathan for all their combined help. What a great team they make! And, owner, Chris Evans, also a very nice guy who had provided some assistance for me but I did not realize he was the owner. Chris has been providing the El Dorado Hills community with reliable automotive service for over 25 years. Wow! I love to support small business owners. Especially owners who are onsite and involved in day-to-day operations. Thanks, Chris. A great big thank you to everyone including the hard-working people in the back. However, I hope I do not see any of you until my odometer passes 5,000 miles and I am ready for a tire rotation.:) Now you know who "you gonna call" when you want exceptional car AND customer service. Very good experience here. Had failed smog due to a leak from my catalytic converter. I called…read moreahead and was told to come on in for an inspection to find out what needs to be done, after work I drove right there and was able to pull in immediately. We found out that I could get my leak welded over instead of needing to buy a whole new cat and they did just that. (Quote for the cat + labor was nearely 500$ less than 2 other shops quoted anyway). The gentleman (can't remember his name, but cool guy) who worked on my car also fixed my exhaust leak(s), installed new gaskets, put on hangars that I hadn't gotten around to installing, and informed me that my engine mounts are going out (car is unnecessarily jerky). All of this was for a better price than the other shops I had called before hand. Quick service, informal interactions, and straightforward process. Def recommend.

We had purchased a new Toyota Prius a week ago. Priuses are number 1 for catalytic converter…read morethefts in California because of the high content precious metals used in the CATS and the fact that the engine isn't on all the time depleting the precious metals. The precious metals are platinum, palladium, and rhodium. I ordered a Miller CAT catalytic converter shield direct from the factory for $200. I opted for the stainless steel version instead of the aluminum version as it slows down the thieves if they're using a Sawzall to cut through it. Miller CAT shields use patented proprietary high security screws so either thieves have to drill the screws out or cut through the steel plate. The local Toyota dealer wanted $306 labor. Ken, the owner squeeze me in on a Monday (which is probably their busiest day) with drive shafts and other work coming in. This is a busy shop! I am a part time teacher for automotive and diesel technology at 2 local high schools, I could have done it myself. I could have used the school's 2 post lift but that takes away from students. Ken and his staff installed the Miller CAT shield and properly torqued the proprietary high security screws in about an hour. The bill was well below what the dealer would have charged. I highly recommend ADCO. They are extremely competent and honest.

If you need an honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced auto repair shop near Gold River or Rancho Cordova, I'd definitely recommend them. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time!
