The staff immediately deflected blame, claiming the damage was pre-existing. Here is the issue: If the tire was truly damaged before they touched it, they never should have started working on it because a ripped sidewall is a major safety hazard. But they put on rim and put pressure and told me its ready . They used the damage they caused to pressure me into purchasing two new tires for $175, giving me a $25 "discount" on the initial fee as a cover. They damaged my property, blamed me for it, and forced a sale. Beware of their business practices. We found out that I could get my leak welded over instead of needing to buy a whole new cat and they did just that. (Quote for the cat + labor was nearely 500$ less than 2 other shops quoted anyway). The gentleman (can't remember his name, but cool guy) who worked on my car also fixed my exhaust leak(s), installed new gaskets, put on hangars that I hadn't gotten around to installing, and informed me that my engine mounts are going out (car is unnecessarily jerky). All of this was for a better price than the other shops I had called before hand. Quick service, informal interactions, and straightforward process. Def recommend.

We had purchased a new Toyota Prius a week ago. Priuses are number 1 for catalytic converter…read morethefts in California because of the high content precious metals used in the CATS and the fact that the engine isn't on all the time depleting the precious metals. The precious metals are platinum, palladium, and rhodium. I ordered a Miller CAT catalytic converter shield direct from the factory for $200. I opted for the stainless steel version instead of the aluminum version as it slows down the thieves if they're using a Sawzall to cut through it. Miller CAT shields use patented proprietary high security screws so either thieves have to drill the screws out or cut through the steel plate. The local Toyota dealer wanted $306 labor. Ken, the owner squeeze me in on a Monday (which is probably their busiest day) with drive shafts and other work coming in. This is a busy shop! I am a part time teacher for automotive and diesel technology at 2 local high schools, I could have done it myself. I could have used the school's 2 post lift but that takes away from students. Ken and his staff installed the Miller CAT shield and properly torqued the proprietary high security screws in about an hour. The bill was well below what the dealer would have charged. I highly recommend ADCO. They are extremely competent and honest.
