My car steering wheel was shaking as I braked down long hills. I chose Foothill Auto Service based on their 5 stars on yelp, proximity to my house, and of the two auto shops I called they actually answered their phone (a good sign!). I made an appointment for two days later and brought it in. I explained the steering wheel shaking and a few other minor issues I was having. They called me within a few hours to let me know what they had found. Due to my past experience with other shops, I kind of expected a wrap sheet of issues and the cost to be in the thousands. Instead, he told me the rotors were slightly warped and he could replace them, BUT it wasn't necessary for some time because the pads and rotors still had quite a bit of wear on them. I couldn't believe that he told me that I didn't have to. Instead of easily making $600 off me, he let me know that it would be $60 something for the inspection if I wanted to pick the car up and be on my way. I was so grateful for his honesty and will definitely be taking my vehicles back there for that reason alone. I ended up asking him to go ahead and do the rotors and pads because I won't have time to come back later this year (kids/school/work) and the shaking makes me feel anxious. They had my car ready within a few more hours and the shaking is gone! Definitely an honest, responsive and fair priced shop! read more

As before, Rob was super nice and explained the repairs and answered all my questions. When I got the car back and was driving home a dash light came on so I rolled right back to the shop. We learned about Foothill Auto Service from a neighbor. We've had horrible services from dealerships and were looking for an honest, reliable and reasonably priced auto shop. We thought our Infinity JX35 needed brakes and took it to Foothill Auto. We received a call the same day we dropped it off, that the brakes were fine, but needed a left rear wheel bearing. The cost of the brake job would have been twice as much as the wheel bearing job. The honest and friendly staff is very refreshing.
