Drew Wallace is a Mustang Master.. I towed in a 2008 Shelby GT 500 that had several issues From the last owner parking it outside for sometime. Drew also found some janky work from the previous owner. The clutch was not installed correctly and the whipple 3.4 L supercharger had been installed incorrectly . As we got into the repairs Drew was great at keeping me informed and sending me pics of the progress. To me that is excellent service. I've been running a canned tune on a slightly modified mustang engine. It was terrible, stumbled at very specific rpm ranges and died on me alot. Shaun is absolutely fantastic. Great communication and knows his shiz. I had issues with my car for about 6 months and after no luck, I finally said eff it and get it tuned by a professional. After talking with him on the phone, he first wanted to make sure the motor itself was okay before we proceed to the dyno. Absolutely the worst customer service. Im shocked they are in business. The tuner I talked to today said a turbod cobra using sct software is untunable. Says he would never. If you go to their website it will say otherwise. I'm glad we wasted hours driving towards their shop. Hoping for a knowledgeable tuner. Anyone in the mustang world knows sct software has proven to perform at the highest levels. Not Many complaints. And not that many people resort to a stand alone system. The tuner on the phone said he will never and they never tune turbod cars. Or aftermarket superchargers. On their website it clearly says " we tune with sct software. Supercharger and Hot Rod Cams installed, all with AED tune - March 7, 2014 - (Background about me): I am the pickiest customer ever, with the highest expectations, and ask a million questions about everything. I then do tons of homework before making a move. Background - After hearing on forums how great these guys were I gave them a call. I'm the original owner of an '06 Saleen convertible, with license plates that say I do lemon law. Car dealers are always a bit unsure whether they should work on my car, but AED had no issue and were confident in themselves. My car was a 3v that had all the bark in the looks department but no real bite. For years now I've wanted to get it supercharged and put hot rod cams on it for that old school sound. I wanted it to sound like it was breathing fire when idling and also go like a bat out of hell when you hit the gas. I thought I wanted to go with a KB system. Experience with AED - I called AED and spoke with Drew. After discussing what my goals for the car were he recommended the Whipple HO kit and the FRPP hot rod cams. After tons more questions on my part and a lot of patience by Drew answering every single one of them, including responding to all my follow up emails, I decided to go for it and now couldn't be happier. Not only did they take perfect care of my car - that doesn't have a ding or scratch on it - they did an unreal job with the install and tune. And they kept me posted of their progress while they had my car. Results = Now pop the hood and the install looks clean and sorted like it came that way from the factory. All I can say is awesome so far. Shaun seems to have an unparalleled knowledge of Mustang engines particularly the s550 platform. He got me switched over to a nice safe higher HP E85 tune vs the Ford performance tune(Performance Pack 2) I had that seemed to run a potentially dangerous level of ignition timing. The level of R/D Shaun has done on the s550 and I'm sure other Mustang platforms appears to be massive and extensive allowing him to give very good advice as long as your willing to listen :) Highly recommend you go see him if your thinking of upgrading/tuning/engine building for your mustang as his advice for a street car(daily driver) will be much different from a road course car/track as well so good to understand that as well due to some limitations of the Coyote engine. read more

Ok LostBrain, check this out. I read a lot of positive things about AED on forums and spoke with several people who had personal experience with them. I decided to have them tune my 2004 Whippled Cobra because the car came from another state and I wanted to make sure the tune was legit. Turns out, it was "okay" but definitely not up to par. Shaun actually offered me two options, one of which was about HALF the cost of the second. I opted for the additional work because it just made sense to get the performance tune done at the same time and save money in the long run. They were professional, patient, and very knowledgeable. I stayed and watched throughout the entire process. Let me tell you, I was impressed by the way Shaun paid attention to detail. He explained every aspect of the tuning process as he went along. It was like getting a free mini course in tuning. I have been wrenching on cars for over 20 years and have done just about every type of repair. However, with a modified muscle car, one has to know their limits, hence trusting my car with these folks. They had some really nice cars and trucks on the property and some out-of-state cars as well. Hmmm... now why would somebody spend their time, money, and hassle to ship their car to a tuner in a different state? Where to start! I have a 2012 GT500. The S/C was just upgraded with a Whipple 2.9L With a 3" pulley. I took the car to them due to the issues I was having with drivability. Well after AED got their hands on the car and worked some magic well let's just say dddaaammm. Went from a 3" pulley to a 3.25" and added 53hp at the wheel. If you want custom work done right this is the shop. I took in a stock 2010 GT500 and Drew worked with me on a supercharger, suspension and transmission upgrade. I went with the Whipple 750 HP kit, but Drew made several additional recommendations that made more horsepower but was also safer for the engine. He made a number of suspension and cooling recommendations at my request, as well as new clutch (to handle the HP), shifter (which fixed the factory grind), as well as a few other tweaks. It took a long time to get in to actually get the work done but was worth the wait. First off, when you get to the shop it is completely organized and you could eat off the floor. Both Drew the installer, and Shaun the tuner were super busy, but willing to take the time to answer all my questions, and I had a lot as it was a bunch of money to do it all and do it right. I had a lot of followup questions by phone and email after doing research on his recommendations, and Drew answered them all very quickly. He knows what he's doing and can dial in your request without spending money for things you don't need or won't get you closer to whatever goal you had, despite the fact he could make more money by installing them. In other words he talked me out of things I thought I wanted because it didn't help in my HP quest. Honest is nice. The car came out absolutely perfect, on schedule and on budget, despite all the work there were no surprises and it runs flawless. I'm a perfectionist and I checked over everything and even the littlest detail was perfect and best of all he made all the wiring look OEM. What really impressed me is when I came to pick up the car it came completely washed and detailed. I showed up with a pair of OEM rear rims with cheater slicks and felt bad asking Drew to put them on as they were really busy but he did, but also put Armor All on the new rear tires so they would match the fronts he had just detailed. Like I said he's a perfectionist, and as he was putting them on I also noticed him doing it by hand with a torque wrench, not a air wrench like they do it everywhere else. Tuned my twin turbo mustang and did not set up the over boost correctly after installing it. I told him to make sure and double check because I saw it was set way higher than it should be (24 pounds instead of the 14 at max it should be set on). We did some waste gate pulls then got into higher boost. Due to the overboost being set wrong he blew my newly built coyote on the dyno and didnt offer any help or take responsibility for his mistake. He blamed it on being "car stuff" and that for tuning that anything can happen and that I knew the risks. My $15k motor is being torn apart by a real reputable shop now and I will not be heading back. I advise dont take expensive products or vehicles you care about anywhere near AED. They might do a good job for some but they made a 15,000 dollar mistake and blamed it on "car stuff." I would be suing but for these situations it is very hard to prove. Be wary read more

Was very u happy with shaun's customer service skills. I have been emailing him about tuning car and sent him a detailed list of the mods done to my car and when i showed up on tune day he had no clue what was done to the car and asked me a bunch of questions. He might be a great tuner but he lacks customer service skills and did not let me experience the tuning process for the car was tuned without be being there and was not able to record any of the pulls it seems to me like he runs a business in a money trap way only going after the money and not a satisfied customer would not recommend his services if you want to experience the tuning process of your car. read more

I shopped around and spoke with most of the well known tuners prior to trusting my 2019 Shelby GT350 with Shaun. I chose him because he took the time to get to know me and my car prior to making any suggestions about how to best approach hunting down any and all extra HP possible on my car, and he did so while always guiding me towards the safest way to do so for my particular car. I was ready to spend big bucks on applications that would have added tremendous power and made him a lot more money, but he ultimately refused to do it as it wasn't in the best interest of the car, the long term health of the motor or me given what I told him I wanted to do - I wanted to be the fastest GT350 possible for daily driving, hard spirited driving on the weekends, an occasional ass-kicking off the line from a stop light and a few annual trips to the track. Once again, the guys at AED provided world class service... To be honest, they are the main reason I purchased another mustang. I purchased a clean 03 cobra and scheduled time with Drew to perform exhaust work and install a few cooling mods before Sean worked his magic on the Dyno. I can't say enough great things about the quality of work Drew performs, he is a perfectionist with everything he touches on my car; he even went over and above and realigned my entire exhaust system to get it perfect!
