I called Rocklin Automotive regarding faulty AC for a Chevy diesel vehicle. Thankfully they had a technician there who has experience working on Chevy vehicles for 10 years. The dealership told me I had to leave my car for 3 days but with Rocklin Automotive, I got an appt the next morning and they took care of me! Shaun was very helpful and made sure I understood what my vehicle diagnostic was and my options for repair. I felt he was transparent about the whole process and the service was great! Will definitely take my vehicle back here! read more

Honestly laughable how bad my experience was here. Some of the worst customer service I've ever had. They won't even pick up the phone to talk to me. I was told five times I'd be speaking with the manager(Sean) , and he never called me back. I've spent over $6K here, and they never actually did the alignment they said they did. After their "alignment," my tires went bald in under 2,000 miles. My tires were literally sideways. That's (1) a safety hazard and (2) it drained my bank account. I had to spend another $1,500 on new tires because they messed up my alignment so badly. All I asked for was a $130 refund for the alignment, and they refused. They straight up took advantage of a college student. read more

5 stats Today ! New management Sat on my couch on Fourth of July weekend scheduled myself an appointment. Received an immediate phone call just to verify what I needed. Quick scheduling. lift driver home. And Lyft back to pick up my vehicle. Nice Shaun it was very polite and personable. They sent me videos and pictures of underneath my vehicle They sent me updates along the way and we're finished with the work in a timely manner I have not priced out this type of work in a while , however the price seemed reasonable. I didn't get any surprise bills along the way. Looks like their family owns about 18 other shops and they're getting this one up to par I'm a local here and I found the service to be great and the repair is complete. Thank you He did say they do a really good price on oil changes too. About half of what I'm currently paying. Give Shaun a call read more

Rocklin Automotive made this service extremely easy. They do a very thorough inspection, taking photos of your car beforehand and texting you a comprehensive report. I am extremely satisfied with the service for my oil change and tire rotation. Price was competitive and more than fair. read more

My husband's A/C went out in his Silverado, so we brought it to Rocklin Automotive to diagnose the issue. They quickly figured out the problem and got it fixed, and now it's blowing cold air again with no issues. The owner was incredibly friendly, the communication was great, and the overall service exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be returning to Rocklin Automotive for any future vehicle repairs and maintenance. Highly recommend! read more

I had a really good experience at Rocklin automotive! Being a female it's always kind of nerve wracking going to automotive shops alone with an issue and not knowing much, but everyone here was super reassuring and helpful. Especially Shaun super kind and helpful, really appreciated them being able to diagnose my car so fast will definitely be coming back. read more

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They also do this video walk-through of your vehicle where they show you everything that is going well with your car and also what needs to be worked on and then they send you a diagnostic report of everything so that everything is documented. The staff also keeps you informed of the status of the repairs. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! they claimed my boyfriends cars ENTIRE breaking system was shot and wanted $3300 to repair. Our roommate sent us to his friend who owns a shop and he said nothing is wrong with the breaking system and all he needed was spark plugs! rocklin automotive Claimed his breaking fluid was empty, it's full but they left his transmission unplugged which could've totally ruined his car. They also didn't know how to check the mileage on his car. whatever you do don't go here read more

The guys here were excellent and exceeded my expectations! It was well worth the 30 minute drive! Thank you

I have been a client for over a decade and have always had amazing service and expert diagnostics done by the team here ... Great people who always want to do the right thing!! Thanks for what you do Marc & Team read more

Great job! Marc, Bobby and the crew did a great job in fixing a lot on my truck. I brought it in for an oil leak, turns out the Timing Chain Cover was leaking. Massive teardown ensues and they get it back to purring like a kitten. Wishing a week I noticed a "ticking" and discovered I had an injector failure. Marc and Bobby worked the insurance to get as much as they could toward the repair. I paid the balance to get all 8 replaced. Truck puts like new. Thanks guys! No hassles, just honest hard working mechanics. read more

Marc and crew worked hard on my sons bmw. They fixed all the items we found and then some. The car is running fantastic. Thanks again fellas. Much appreciated. read more

Unfortunately I have to write this review. I have been regular for 10 years. The last three times I have brought vehicle in they have not fixed the problem. My vehicle now is worse than before. Runs rough. Owner has let business fall apart in quality control. They want me to pay more. Sorry I'm not stupid. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Please go somewhere else to get your car worked on. read more

I have brought my sons car in for work at Rocklin Automotive and I am very pleased with Mark and his crew of mechanics. I turn to these guys because I TRUST them! First time using great professional staff very friendly, very helpful went in for an oil change, unlike other service stations, like Pep Boys and Auto Zone, I was not conned into being sold on new brakes and rotors and new parts and pieces to my car on a virtually brand new vehicle as I have in the past. Will definitely use again. read more

Rocklin Automotive - My car that I had oil change done - Tires Near Me - Rocklin, California

Update on my disc brake conversion. I took my car to a different shop because the brakes were failing. The new shop had to change the master cylinder from a single to dual reservoir. Add a proportioning valve. This should have been done by Rocklin Automotive. My rear bearing were leaking and had leaked fluid on the rear brake shoes to the point of total saturation. They were not working. I know that that wasn't Rocklin Automotives fault, but they should have caught that. The car has always pulled to the right on braking. The proportioning valve and moreover the rear brakes caused that. Totally should have caught that when the car test drove with the pull. Rocklin Automotive needs to stick to new model cars as thats their main operation. And leave hot rod work to people who work on hot rods as their primary focus. read more

I went in for a diagnostic and had to pay $239 for absolutely no information! They said they could not conclude without a further diagnostic, which would have cost me more money. They would not give me my car back unless I paid the $239 which like I said, said nothing conclusive about what was wrong with my car. I inquired at two other reputable automotive shops that work on German cars and they both said they're diagnostics were under $200. And that would have given me a conclusive outcome on what the problem was this business. Rocklin Automotive is terrible. Their customer service is horrible and they will rob you, the money you need to have your car fixed! read more

This place was awesome, I had never been and they treated my like an old friend there. Marc was great and Eddie did his thing. In and out....plus my truck drives perfect. Can't do anything but recommend. thanks guys! read more

Found my new place! Absolutely in love with this place that was referred to me by a friend. They are so reliable and trustworthy and you can see they know their business and strive for quality service. They fixed problems from a previous place and helped me with the issues of my car, with a honest advice and fair price. Mark is so amazing at Customer Service and this is where I'm taking my car from now on. Recommend to everyone! read more

Mark is a used car sales man. He's a smoother talker but is bending everyone over. They charged me a 900% mark up on parts. Every time I got my vehicle back there was a new issue. $3500 for AC repair. Upon pick up my headlights didn't work. 2 days of returning to the place and they got them partially working. His excuse, and I quote "it's this Ching Chong China parts you have on your head lights" referring to some after market HID lights that were installed. When I got home and opened the hood I noticed none of the weather stripping seals were put back on and they were just slammed under the hood. The HID ballasts we're not re-secured to the truck and we're just hanging down. Mark should be locked up for all the money he is stealing from the community. Go to 5 star automotive right next door they are great. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Ripped off my grandparents by $200 (charged for multiple inspections and only said WHAT was wrong with the car not any further detail) They went back for a clarification and they refused their refund. I can't believe the nerve to rip off elderly people. Insanity. Never ever go here! They also only need one more strike against them to get their business terminated (known for scamming people) so if you ever have problem you MUST file an order against them like we have. read more

Our Infinity 2004 I35 had a lower plastic panel in the front of the car tear and was scrapping while we started driving. We were near Rocklin Automotive and asked for help. They always fix up my vehicles right! I have been going here for a long time now and always get great service. Tom is outstanding, he will explain everything and lay out the options. The entire staff there is top notch. I have had everything done here from a simple oil change to major repairs and they have never let me down. They have always stuck to the promised time for the repair and the price has never gone over the estimate or final quote. The work is top quality, because my old cars are still rolling along and I haven't had any multiple repairs for the same issue. Car repairs are never the highlight of my day but they make it a lot easier. I highly recommend this place. read more

My girlfriend was taken advantage of by this company. She was sold a battery that she was assured was appropriately cheap for $170 dollars, and then charged for a half hour of labor to install it (at $150/hr), for a car that clearly has less than 2 years of life left, by their own admission. Don't go here if you don't want to get fleeced. read more

Super nice guys at Rocklin Automotive! Went to that location because I thought the chain store I bought my tires from was there but found them instead. Needed some air in my tires and noticed the caps were missing off of 3 tires. I didn't ask, but the guy helping me (sorry didn't get names) asked the boss guy if they had any caps. Boss guy said yes and now I have caps again. Which was probably the reason I needed air in the first place. I know they don't cost much but now I don't have to bother with going to a store to buy replacements. Thanks for the free air and the free caps! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more

These dudes are great and stand by their work. I brought my SUV in to get the breaks done while I enjoyed a beer and some baseball at The BeachHut Deli next door. They were super busy but were able to squeeze me in and get it done by the time they quoted me. I got it home, and drove it around for a little bit but there was some break chatter. I brought it back and it turned out there was a slight mistake made when they machined the rotors. They promptly fixed it at no extra cost to me. These are some standup guys, and I'll defiantly be bringing my cars back here for service. read more

Price gouging here. I was given an estimate of $1650 for work that the GM dealership quoted at 955. Eventually had it done for 580 at another reputable mechanic. That is one third!. Key difference was number of hours of labor assessed ....7 hrs vs dealer at 3 hrs vs the other mechanic at 1.5 hr. Their neighbor Five star Auto were worse with an even higher quote. read more

FIVE STAR SERVICE! ONE OF THE FEW if not the only automotive shop that will do an oil change on an RV. Excellent communication, top-shelf customer service. I went in for an alignment for my Infiniti and in two weeks it went out again. I'm called back and asked if they can fix it since it is not normal for a car to go out of alignment in 2 weeks and they denied it and refused to give my money back. They also tried to up sell me on spark plugs which are not due for another 30,000 miles. Do not go to this place since they are not honest. read more

Had my uncle who is a retired mechanic take my corolla in. They charged for a diagnostic even though we knew it was the O2 sensor and showed them the codes. We paid the diagnostic and the guy quoted me $1800!!! He then advised me that my car would never pass smog. For $75 I fixed my corolla with my uncle and passed smog. These guys seems nice at first, but are true SCAM artists. I would definitely STAY AWAY and get a second opinion before paying them any money. You would think during these times people would try and help one another, not come up on someone. read more

My wife brought her 2009 Toyota Corolla on July 9th,2022 for a broken A/C. One star is ridiculously high for these price gouging crooks. Let me ask any of you this: "What honest mechanic shop asks for a $1,400 deposit upfront before finishing any of its work?" These shady characters were reluctant to offer estimates when we asked. Using the supply chain issues as an excuse they kept my wife' s Toyota Corolla for almost two weeks. They narrowed it down to the computer module of her car needing replacement. They ordered the part on Day 11 of this saga and then "realized" they ordered the wrong part. They then informed my wife they will need more time and $1,500 more money on July 20th and she would not have her car until August 5th!! So on Day 12 having taken the advice of a family member who owns their own shop in South Sacramento we told Rocklin Automotive to put her Corolla back together and to give us an itemized list of all work done so our family member could then have a roadmap of what was done so they could competently do what Rocklin Automotive failed to do. I do not doubt because they saw my wife they thought it was safe to price gouge on the basis of her being a woman. So when I showed up on July 21st at 5pm in the afternoon for my wife's Corolla having spoken at least five times over the previous 12 days on the phone with them, and having showed up with my wife to deliver the car in the first place. I returned to Rocklin Automotive on July 21st to retrieve our car and money that was being held hostage by these crooks. The technician there Mark is his name was irate, condescending and after slamming the car keys down on the counter demanded $300 more, mind you after their failure to fix the problem and a minimum of two more weeks wait for them to fix the problem. I replied they had a $1,400 deposit from us and they would not be receiving more. So after giving the keys back to me and demanding we pay $300 for a problem not fixed. I asked what is required under California Law. That is an itemized estimate of what works has been done, which he did not want to give to me when I asked after he gave me back the Corolla keys. He wanted to refuse me the itemized estimate until I paid him his $300. Effectively holding my wife's request and California rights hostage for money. He relented and slammed the itemized estimate of what was done on the counter and said: " Good luck to any others who start from what I finished." As I was leaving the shop with what was rightfully ours namely the Corolla keys and itemized estimate. He said:" I do not even know who you are?! I said I was the customer's husband. Mark said: "Well bye customer's husband!" I find that curious you would hand the keys to a car to a complete stranger if you were unsure of who they were. Either you are lying and know who I'am or your a moronic d-bag who should be in another job(maybe the other side of auto mechanics, you know the crash dummy side) When my wife drove off the parking lot of Rocklin Automotive she found the brake lights out, the turn signal lights out and the radio out. In short $1,400 out, car in worse shape, monumental waste of time expended in two weeks. In order to fix a an broken A/C in this 100 degree heat. read more

I had an idler pulley break while driving on I-80. I called a dozen shops to see if someone could take me on a Saturday, but nobody was helpful until I happened to see Rocklin Automotive. They said they could try to get it done that very afternoon. I dropped off the car immediately and they got the whole job done in 1 hour. I barely finished breakfast next door and it was ready. I got back on the road and my whole day was rescued. Car runs like a champ now! Very friendly guy at the front desk, and very fast work. I highly recommend you go straight to this shop. read more

I've been taking my vehicle to Mark, Tom and the team at Rocklin Automotive for the past several years. They have always done quality work, provide the complete and honest run down as to what needs to be done, what can wait, and what is unnecessary at that given point in time. In my experiences over many years, that has not always been the case at other auto repair shops I've dealt with. I don't want to be up sold. I want the work necessary to keep my vehicle running well today and into the future, plus an honest assessment of other preventative maintenance and other work to consider as well. I would recommend Rocklin Automotive as a local, independently owned and operated business, that works hard to provide quality service to their customers. read more

**I suspect serious overcharging for labor , parts and negligence is going on here** My girlfriend went in to get her AC checked and paid the $120 dollars for the diagnostic and specifically stated not to begin working on it. Diagnosis recommended replacing the entire AC pulley and bracket. About $500 out the door. After she refused to shell out the cash, later that day parts started falling off the car, which turned out to be the pulley and bracket (separated but still in perfect condition, unbent) After calling the manager Mark asking if they had been working on it, a defensive tone was developing over the phone. After I suggested there may have been negligence involved, a barrage of distasteful curse words were spewed from their end. Highly unprofessional from a "reputable" service center. Finally, after getting a refund, I inspected the tensioner myself. I picked a pulley up for 12 dollars and installed it on the OE bracket. half an hour later the ac was blowing ice cold. Something is wrong here. read more

I usually do my own work on my vehicles but there are times when you need a professional and in my opinion there are no other places as professional, knowledgeable and as helpful as Marc and his crew at Rocklin Automotive. I've been dealing with ac issues and tried to fix it myself and just couldn't get it done. I have tried to go to other places but I always get the run around or turned away as they are to busy. I can say that I will ever need to nor will I ever shop around again as there is no one around that is as reliable, knowledgeable, friendly and honest as Marc and his guys. They not only got me in before the 110 degree heat wave, he got it diagnosed, fixed and was up front with me with everything they needed to do. I honestly can't thank everyone there enough, my truck is my business which is my life and without it, I am shut down. Thank you Marc, I appreciate your hard work and dedication to your customers as well as the fact that you don't make me feel just like a customer, you and your guys make me feel like a friend, and that is a lost art in today's business world. I'd give y'all 10 stars if they let me!! read more

I went into Rocklin Auto to get a 2nd opinion on a used vehicle I just purchased. I gave them the inspection report from another shop and asked if they through they could check it and maybe inspect the vehicle themselves. The young guy that was helping me at the counter seemed nice but the head mechanic was disgusting. The inspection was from Five Start Auto/Car wash so he said you can't trust anything from them. "Jose Rodriguez was mowing lawns last week and now he's inspecting vehicles!" It was a completely made up name and incredibly racist. Even the guy that was helping me just froze but that is his boss. I would never knowingly give money to someone like that. read more

They specialize in tires, nothing else. My brother took his Mazda here as he was having starter problems. They informed him he needed a new starter and to return in 2 days for repair. It took them all day to repair his car and when he got there the starter still had problems. They then told him they thought it was a recall item and gave him a print out of what they found online. They informed him the starter still neeed to be repaired though and handed him a bill for $400. They specialize in tires, nothing else. read more
