Great service here, fixed my firing problem with my Firebird with sniper 2. Also found a fuel regulator leak and replaced it with a more reliable one. Tuned my sniper 2. On my way out, had an electrical issue and heat soak problem with my starter that Troy pointed out. They took it right back in their shop. I wanted the option to pay more for fewer cut corners but they didn't offer that. At this price level, you can expect the car to come back with a number of flaws that will need correction, as my car did (Datsun 280z). The color was a light blue metallic, which is a hard color to spray consistently. I asked for a full body glass-out respray. (Front and rear windscreens removed, new gaskets installed). Cowl panel, headlamp buckets, and hood vents were sprayed off the car. Doors, hood, and everything else was sprayed together on the car. PROS: - Glass out - Quality paint materials - Primed and blocked - Multiple base color coats - Multiple clear coats - Final polish CONS: - Poor communication - Slow progress - Adhesives and foam rubber weatherstripping not fully removed, but painted over - Multiple flaws in paint job, including: -- solvent pop in one body panel (tiny dots left by solvent bubbles) -- dust / dirt in the paint on multiple body panels (Smaller panels were sent back for corrections. Still not free of dirt.) -- overspray on freshly restored black fuel tank -- they cut the rear antenna wiring to remove the mount. they lost the antenna mount. I had to get a new antenna mount AND repair the wiring -- runs in the clearcoat on the front edge of the hood, rear corner, wheel arches, and rockers. these can be corrected with sanding and polishing. Communication about work was the biggest problem. I would have paid extra to get a better end result. The lack of options for making prep more thorough and checking quality before returning the car was frustrating. I am very surprised that they didn't remove the weatherstrip and adhesive from the rear hatch but instead painted over it. Not very professional. The rear hatch opening now needs to be stripped and painted again. For the money, the resulting quality is acceptable. Going to a high end custom shop for paint would cost double or more ($10k to $30k). If you are doing a restoration or show car and you really care about the paint quality, be aware that you may have to make corrections when you get the car back (respray certain areas, sanding runs, overspray, cleaning / replacing trim and fasteners, finding lost hardware). I recommend removing all trim and weatherstrips before delivering the car to the shop. read more

I had numerous quotes and am very happy with getting the job done here. In fact, when I was getting my AC serviced at a service shop in Roseville, I was immediately put in touch with Troy, sent him pictures from my phone and received the quote within the same hour. We have a 2002 GMC that unfortunately had the faulty clear coat that is seen on GMC's. After years of living with the unsightly peeling on the hood and roof, I decided to surprise my husband by getting this fixed. I contacted Troy and showed him pictures of the truck. Troy was able to arrange getting the truck done while my husband was out of town because he knew I wanted to surprise him! When I picked up the truck I was so shocked to see how amazing it looked! I knew Troy would do a great job, but I couldn't believe the difference, it looked like a new truck again! He was able to match the paint so well you can hardly tell the difference between the new paint and the paint that is 14 years old. When my husband came home he was so shocked he said he felt like he was on one of those makeover shows! Troy did an awesome job, I love using local companies and having great results. So we decided to make an appointment. About 3 days before our drop off date we were very pleased to get a call from him confirming that we were still bringing it in. Most auto places don't give you that curtisey. Once we dropped off our car, Troy kept us updated every step of the way. He even sent pictures via text showing us the progress!
