One place even put dye in it to try to find the leak when we came back to recharge again, and still no luck in finding it. The AC worked for half a day, then it was back to blowing hot air. Nick diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and even replaced the worn-out touchscreen in the dash while he had the dash out and defogged the headlights, just so they were more efficient and safer. We had a check engine light go on in September. He squeezed us in for a diagnosis in late October (yes, he's that backed-up with appointments). He did a thorough check of the car (we felt it was running a bit sluggish), and found a big issue with cylinder exhaust valves, requiring a costly engine repair. He gave me an estimate to do the repair. I asked about a couple of used Subaru cars he had on the lot, and he gave his opinions and costs. I also asked about 'what if it were his car' scenario, and he said he'd repair it, since he knows our car model year is a good one. Given all that information, we decided to repair our car, hoping that he wouldn't discover anything else serious once he took the engine apart. We scheduled for the beginning of January for two weeks. Happily, he did not find anything else after examining the engine and the rest of the car. He was able to get a part custom made, and he completed the job sooner than expected (and at a lower cost than the original estimate). He also gave us a recommendation for the next set of tires (which he advised we'll need sooner rather than later). Our car is running noticeably better (no sluggishness). When I checked the fuses to see why the stereo and back up camera weren't working it was missing around 10 fuses so I know they only took out the fuses to make it seem like the car was passable. My family friend referred me to specifically Ron and I was dismissed and disappointed that they've spent multiple years with this mechanic. Really makes me wonder how many times he's scammed them over the duration of 5-10 years. In all honesty the car over heated and blew up the engine as I was headed to drive it through the walls of this establishment (lucky them). Had to get it towed after, cost 500 so brought my total for the car to 4600. I would love to come back to discuss but really fuck this place. Scammed me out of 4600 dollars
