Not only that, but Jessica is super nice and isn't afraid to go after that random hair with a pair of tweezers, no matter where that hair is, if you catch my drift. Best brazillian I've ever had. Fastest, most comfortable, and least painful by far (yes, the way they wax you affects how bad it hurts. The pros make it bearable). I've been to handfulls of places in both Marin and SF and this is by far the best experience I've ever had. This place is awesome. I needed a VERY last minute brazilian wax. Like it was 2pm on a Saturday. I emailed them, since they had the best yelp results, and within half an hour got an email back letting me know what times were available. i went in a few hours later and it was the most painless, pleasant (if that's possible) and quick brazilian I've ever got. This is my first time visiting Smooth Operations for a wax and it was great! I've been waxed before but nothing compared to the experience I had here. The wax used was like no other, no sticky mess and I hardly experienced any pain. Jessica was very sweet and thorough. I have been going to Smooth Operations for about a year now. I have always had a good experience. Their brazilian 's are wonderful. Clean, quick, and very little pain. I usually go here to get my eyebrows done and the occasional brazilian. Recently, my friend and I went there to have our eyebrows waxed for a very special occasion. We have been growing out our eyebrow hair for quite some time to save it for the perfect waxing. The service was the same as usual: very nice, no waiting, and quick. However, when we left, about an hour later, we noticed our eyelids were much redder than usual. Later on that same day, we began to notice small, thin pieces of skin were pretty much waxed off. They weren't bleeding, but it was very noticeable. We've both been going here for quite sometime and this is the first time we've had something like this happen. It's forgivable, we just wished it didn't happen this time since it was a big day for both of us. We layered makeup on top of the forming scab, which kinda did the job. In the end, I will come back, but I am upset that I kept thinking about this scab on the special day my friend and I have been waiting for. read more

DON"T GO ON SUNDAYS! I usually like this place. Service has been inconsistent in the past, but for the most part I have been happy. I love that they specialize in just waxing and usually have appointments available even on short notice. However I just had a very unpleasant experience and its the second time I have not been thrilled with this waxer. I won't post her name, but just heed this advice - don't go on Sundays. She just waxed my upper lip and left most of the wax on even when I went back to ask her to take it off. I don't know if the wax wasn't hot enough or what but she did a terrible job and my upper lip still stings and still feels like a bunch of wax is on it. She also kept saying that it was my fault and something must be wrong with my skin. I found this a bit odd considering it has never happened to me before. I have been pleased with most of the other waxers there - Sonja is really great and is my favorite. I would most likely still go back to here for waxing but will never return to this woman that I had today. read more

I wanted to write major kudos for Jessica. My car broke down which was the method of transportation last time I came here. Initially she said that she was booked and that I would have to come back tomorrow. I was bummed because I can't really afford the bus down here twice. Then with a touch of luck and serendipity one of her clients texted and said she was stuck in rush hour traffic in the city and being that I use to do the daily commute from Novato to an Bruno I know exactly how bad that traffic can be. Maybe for bikini waxes, this is the right place, but I came in for an eyebrow wax and I will not be comming there again. Ms. Kessler claims on her website to be the best at eyebrow waxing, but when doing mine, she took too much and left a huge gap between my two brows. Now my face looks vacant and I have to wait another month for them to grow. Also, Ms. Kessler was too quick to give the proper attention, and she talked on the phone while waxing. If you want your brows to look natural and right for yor face, don't come here. So not worth $22. read more

I got a deal from living social. I'm glad I didn't pay full price. What a big disappointment. I showed the esthetician my underarms and said that they were too short to wax. She said it would be fine, and she's been doing this for 20 years and would get the hairs. Against my better judgement, I allowed her to do one underarm. Sure enough, only 1/3 of the hairs came off. I asked her not to do the other arm, and she got upset telling me, "what, so you don't want to have to pay for it now or what? It looks better than what it was." My response, "would you wear a tank top with it looking like this?" No response. I said i would pay for half since she only did half. Honestly I should not have paid any of the cost of the underarm because I knew it would not work, and didn't want it done. The rest of the waxing session went without much of a hit. But their version of a bikini wax does not cover the area that I have always had covered in the over 15 years i've been getting waxed. It was minimal, and not worth the price. I will not be returning, or wasting my money on this place. If I want to get waxed properly, I will be going to the many other places that do it correctly.... Plus, the room was cold, no heat on a cold winter day. read more

Started coming here a month ago for full face waxing, including brows, and have been twice. Once with Jessica and once with Sonia. Both of these ladies are true professionals and do an incredible job. I especially love how Sonia shaped my eyebrows, which is really important because they are so prominent on my face! Don't use these people for permanent eye makeup. Not worth the risk of something going terribly wrong in a poorly lit treatment room and questionable technique. They also claim it requires multiple applications. If done properly permanent makeup should take 1 treatment and perhaps a touch up. That's it! read more
