The menu is pretty short, with the basics that a cafe typically offers (Americano, matcha latte, etc.) plus four specialty drinks (like the banana milk latte). First of all, huge shoutout to Steph. My girlfriend and I are vegan, and drinks are usually a gamble when it comes to knowing the ingredients. Steph was patient with us when we asked questions and even went to the back to confirm the ingredients of the misugaru powder. Thanks to Steph, we found our new favorite drink and really enjoyed the experience. On top of that, we added a shot of espresso, and she offered to modify it if it was too bitter or too light! The misugaru latte, when subbed with oat milk, is vegan. They use real misugaru powder and its ingredients do not contain any animal products (not even the dreaded "Natural Flavors"). Really excited to see Smoke Tiger Coffee Lab take over the old Starbucks spot. Arcadia has always been a bit light on standout, specialty coffee spots, so having this popular chain from Korea land here is a welcome breath of fresh air. The space got a nice refresh--clean aesthetic, relaxed vibe, and definitely a cool new place to hang out, catch up with friends, or just chill for a bit. The menu has plenty of variety, whether you are after a properly pulled espresso drink or one of their rich matcha teas (definitely worth trying if you like good quality matcha that isn't just pure sugar). Arcadia definitely needs more spots like this that aren't just the usual mega-chains. It's already drawing a fun crowd, and I'll definitely be adding it to my regular rotation. read more

The inside is very spacious with plenty of tables and outlets, plus free WiFi and a restroom. The AC was also super cold, which was definitely a nice bonus on a hot day! They have a good variety of drinks, ranging from coffee and matcha to other specialty options, along with a selection of baked goods. If you come here often, they also have an app and point system where you can earn rewards. I got the YSL, and it was really nice and refreshing. You can really taste the yuzu, and it had a crisp, bright flavor that made it easy to drink. It's nice to see Smoking Tiger Coffee lab expanding and growing. This chain is a Korean-inspired coffee shop. I've been to there original location in Temple City on Las Tunas Blvd and the location in Monterey Park several times before. Their coffee drinks have always been pretty solid. I like that they have a special drink that is unique/exclusive for each location. My go-to is usually the corn latte, but since it was late in the afternoon already when I visited this location, I opted for something less caffeinated. Plus, for the Arcadia location, their exclusive item is the coconut match, so it worked out perfectly. 1. Coconut Matcha (4.5/5) Super refreshing drink, especially for a hot summer day. This drink is essentially coconut water topped with a very thick layer of matcha foam. The coconut water was hydrating and not too sweet while the matcha foam gives it a rich matcha grassy note. The matcha flavor was strong and it paired surprisingly well with the coconut water. 2. Jalapeno Cream Cheese Musubi Croissant (5/5) Got to love their Korean-inspired baked goods. Instead of the traditional croissants (ie. chocolate, almond, etc), they make savory Korean flavored options. This croissant is one of my favorites. Get it toasted or toast it yourself at home - the croissant is flaky, yet buttery, the jalapeno cream cheese was fresh and robust in flavor. Then, you get the savory ham or masubi (depending on what's available) added in. It's topped off with a layer of nori (seaweed). Each bite was a pleasurable flavor bomb. One of my favorite coffee shops, so I'm super excited to see them branching out and franchising more stores!! Conveniently located inside a plaza, so there is plentiful free parking, both an indoor lot and an outdoor lot. The cafe itself has lots of indoor and outdoor seating, a couple tables outside but a whole cafe setup inside. They were out of matcha and hojicha, as their boiling water was out of stock. I ordered the banana milk latte instead, as well as a coffee salt bread from their pastry case. The banana milk latte was super tasty, on the sweeter side for sure, but also had a very balanced espresso/coffee kick as well. Opted for the $1 charge for oat milk. The vanilla cold foam on top is a nice addition, pushes the drink more towards dessert territory for sure but I love it! They make the drinks super quickly as well. They warmed up the coffee salt bread for me in around 5 minutes as well. It was tasty, not a traditional salt bread for sure however. It tasted more like the coffee buns from 85 C Bakery, pretty typical. They have an extensive, unique, Asian pastry selection which I love - Dubai chewy chocolate cookies, scones, Jollypong crisp, and even Dubai chocolate cake. The space seems like it is popular for studying or sitting a long time, so definitely check them out if you're looking for a quiet atmosphere. I have been to 3 Smoking Tiger locations (San Gabriel, Monterey Park, and this one) and not only is this their newest location but it's also my favorite! This is the one I frequent the most because parking is much easier than the other locations. It's located inside a busy shopping plaza but there's plenty of parking. They're open daily 8am-8pm. Ordering is easy. I always order on the Smoking Tiger app because they have a reward program and it's super convenient! Love how spacious and clean the inside is and has plenty of seating so great spot to study or hang out. Service is always super friendly and welcoming. Ordered the Honey Ube Latte ($7) and it consisted of espresso with Ube milk and a honey cold foam. I got it with less sweet and regular ice (note: they give you less drink if you request less ice). Also, they have milk substitutions: oat & almond for extra $1. The espresso tasted strong but not too overpowering. The Ube milk had a subtle Ube flavor and was quite creamy and delicious. The honey cold foam had a thick consistency so make sure to give it a good stir prior to drinking! Overall, this drink was refreshing and decent. I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites there but it was definitely a good first time experience and worth trying! My favorite drink is the Sweet Corn Latte ($6.50). I always get it with regular ice and sweetness. It consists of espresso with corn milk and a corn cold foam. If you like egg coffee, this drink is a definite must! The cold foam is quite thick in consistency so definitely recommend giving it a good stir prior to drinking. The corn milk is not too sweet and has a subtle hint of corn which was very good. The coffee was strong but not too overpowering. I could tell they definitely use good quality coffee beans! Really enjoyed how refreshing and delicious this drink is! I have gotten their matcha drinks before and I would skip their matcha drinks because their matcha is a bit weak for my preference. There was still a lot of ice though even though I did easy ice. Also, it costs extra to do a milk alternative which is kinda sad so I just stuck with regular milk. Overall, the drink is pretty good with authentic matcha. The prices and portion are just typical. They have a couple tables inside and outside so you can sit and chat. This review is based on just one visit for a cold brew. The newest location for Smoking Tiger opened up in this large plaza next to Pavilion's. They took over Starbucks around mid-April 2026. The space is much bigger, brighter and cleaner than their San Gabriel location. Although I didn't study their menu, it seems there are many similar items compared to the San Gabriel location. The staff is very knowledgeable about their types of coffee and very nice and friendly. It wasn't too noisy on a weekday afternoon so you can hear the ambience music playing in the background. We were able to choose which coffee we want it for the cold brew Americano, and opted for their dark roast, the Blue House. It was definitely bold yet smooth I chose to take it black and I can taste the flavor profile. I usually don't like cold coffee drinks, but this was very nice on a cold day and gave me a little caffeine jolt.. There's plenty of parking in the huge lot and a chill ambulance inside. Cute spot to get work done! I came here to try their banana milk latte which was absolutely delicious. My friend tried their corn latte, which although we were expecting a more intense corn flavor, was still good. My friend also ordered their Garlic Cream Cheese bun which was a lot sweeter than expected, but still delicious nonetheless! I look forward to trying more of their pastries here as the display looked all delicious. The inside is clean and minimalist, offering a pretty quiet environment for studying/working. Decided to try them out at last after they grand opened last week. They took over the old Starbucks spot. There's plenty of parking in this plaza, no trouble there. They have seating inside and outside. Your first order on their app is $5 off which was nice to use. I got the Tiger Latte ($6.26) in regular size, less sugar. It's supposed to have brown sugar and caramel but I only tasted coffee. I didn't put less ice but the drink wasn't filled all the way to the brim. Maybe I will try another drink next time. I had the Honey Ube latte iced from the seasonal menu and it was delicious. Some drinks have the option to be hot or iced and some are iced only. The tables against one of the walls have electrical outlets at each one and there's also a restroom. They have merch and a refrigerator case if you want a bottled drink. The drink was ready within a few minutes. The matcha was a little grainy and bitter. Not the best or smoothest matcha I've had. I would rate it 6/10.
