Best BBQ EVER! My favorite was the Brisket and Mac-n-Cheese. The location was convenient too.

I wanted a sweet treat and found this tiramisu, the best dessert I've had in a while. It's so light, fluffy, not too sweet and not soggy at all. I was intrigued by this prickly pear soda and it was the freshest tasting soda I've ever had. While looking at those, one of their customers urged me to try the daily fresh made pasta. The individual that helped us was very informative and super sweet making pleasant small talk. The pasta was again incredibly fresh and tasty, the pesto on it was amazing and my friend agreed; the best pesto we've ever had. It's an adorable shop with dishware and other trinkets and food for sale . 10/10, no notes, would definitely recommend. This is a Merced local gem. (I would add pictures but we have consumed literally all of what we bought)

I asked what the portions and prices were and he seemed surprised I asked. I get what they're trying to do, to offer legit Italian meat, pasta, sweets etc. However Merced lacks the clientele to support this niche business. I appreciate the legit mortadella and prosciutto, it's been a year since we were in Italy. They need to make heftier sandwiches loaded with actual substance if they're gonna charge that much. Include a drink too. Lastly, I had no idea this place existed. My brother mentioned it to me and we checked it out. Need more advertising and food selection to match pricing.

When I arrived, there was a group of people waiting around for their food. After ordering my food, I waited an HOUR. That is an hour standing on concrete in the sun, with no idea when I would finally get to eat. Everyone was getting frustrated waiting, but they continued to take new orders and didn't offer any explanation to anyone about what was taking so long. My entire family ordered food from other food trucks and finished eating before I ever got my food. When I FINALLY got my food, I was even more frustrated with what I was served. The tri-tip sandwich consisted of 4 slices of cold, dry, hardly seasoned tri-tip on 2 plain buns. And some potato salad that tasted like store-bought Reeser's. Not worth the money and definitely the hour long wait in the sun.

So I had to check it out , I was really hoping they had hot links but sadly they didn't. So I tried their tri tip sandwich which was ok and their BBQ sauce was good but nothing special. Overall it was ok , I will try another food item soon hopefully it will be Great . Would be nice if they had hot links or hotdogs for the kids . Maybe 2 meat or three meat plates would be nice , Chicken, hot links , tri tip , ect with a side and bag of chips or soda ect . Looking forward to seeing this BBQ truck grow overtime.

At the entrance to the right is the bakery section where you can just come for those goods. They even sell their bread you can bake at home and fresh honey. To the left of the entrance is a cafe for all your coffee needs and they have quite a selection of creative lattes! Every dish has been great here. This place is perfect for large groups too, we always find ourselves coming back. They have great lunch specials where you can choose a side. My personal favorite are the Mac salad and baked beans Their beef French dip with grilled onions and tuna sour dough melt are my favorite. We're always greeted with warm smiles and always feel welcome. My favorite restaurant to come when I'm in the area

My only small wish was that it had a bit more jalapeño kick to really bring the heat, but I'd still order it again. I also tried the clam chowder, which was okay--not bad, just not the standout for me. For drinks, I had a matcha, and it was really good--smooth and well balanced. We also took dessert to go and got a banana pie slice, which was tasty and not overly sweet. The service was excellent. We were helped by Jessica, who was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu.

My friend and I were looking for a place halfway to meet. I found these guys on Yelp. Great reviews so I thought we would give it a try. It is a treasure! The place is cute. It's comfy with good oldies playing in the background. The food was amazing and seasoned perfectly. Their Portuguese beans is a family recipe and the best beans I have ever tasted. Biscuits and gravy was delicious. They are homemade and you can taste the love in it. We had the tri tip and like everything else - blown away how tender and flavorful it was. I was out in Merced a little too early for a work meeting, and wanted some coffee, but not a chain place. Lucky me I was actually just down the street from Jenny's bakery. I was warmly greeted as I came in and immediately feel the family charm of this business. Oldies were playing on the radio, and Jenny's husband was getting things ready in the kitchen. When I found out the Portuguese breakfast was her family recipe beans, and a half order of biscuits and gravy, I was set on what I wanted. I was provided an colorful coffee mug and allowed to have coffee to my hearts content. I opted for the holiday blend. It had a lovely hint of spices, but was not overwhelming. I had no longer sat down than my nice pipping hot bowl of Portuguese beans was placed in front of me and I thought it was a half order. They say it's a half order but that is the huge biscuit and with gravy you would need a party of four to finish. The flavor of the beans were just wonderful. I filled myself up on those and then sopped up some of the beans gravy with the biscuits. My taste buds were very happy. My stomach was over full. I enjoyed some banter with Jenny and her husband along with some patrons that came in. They really try to make everyone feel so much like they're just walking into a family kitchen. I highly recommend a stop and introduce yourself and make some new friends and find yourself a lovely bakery. That's been there right around the corner from the park.
