So unfortunately I could only give two stars due to the poor restroom facilities. Some people might say what does that have to do with the food but that's where the patrons and workers wash their hands after going to the restroom. I went to the restroom and since I'm a guy and I was just going 1 I didn't need to use toilet paper but thought it was pretty gross that they just left the big toilet paper on the floor and a sign that the toilet paper holder is broken. Than I go to wash my hands and the sink was working I tried like 10 different times and no water came out. I went to ask if I could rinse off my hands at a different sink and the worker gave me three bottles of water to go rinse off my hands with. I told him you probably want to get that faucet fixed seems like a health hazard. I heard the girl behind the counter say it's just get stuck sometimes but it works. My mom and I really enjoyed our lunch and were impressed with the customer service and cleanliness of the store. The staff were all smiling, and we were even asked how our meal was. What I love about this place is the fresh sourdough bread. You can order a whole loaf, baked, and take it home or bake it yourself at home. I always choose to have it baked. Something about freshly baked bread hits a spot. The place is always clean, and the service is always good. One thing I don't like about this place is how expensive it can be. Normally the food is great at sourdough co but 3-4 weeks ago I ordered my usual small cob salad with extra avocado, blue cheese and blue cheese dressing. I like Avocado a lot But unfortunately the avocado was not even close to being ripe enough to put in a salad or to charge for extra avocado. I couldn't even cut the slices with a fork. They have delicious sourdough clam chowder bowls (which the love of my life ordered) the sourdough bowl is light and airy compared to the others I've had. We had ours to go and the chowder comes in a separate bowl so you don't have a soggy mess when you get home. I also choose the chili for my combo meal, It too was delish. I had the Caprice sandwich and added grilled chicken, the taste was amazing. The staff is very attentive and polite. The manager (who's name I neglected to get) is on top of everything. Stopped by here on our way to San Diego. We got a roastbeef sandwich and a smoked brisket sandwich and clam chowder. I also bought a sourdough baguette to go. Food was great and we met the manager who was very friendly and informative about their sourdough. I grew up in the SF Bay area so I am a bit of a sourdough snob. I had an uncle who once worked at Parisian. I have eaten more of my share of Boudins sourdough and columbo. The sourdough bread here is great. Seen this place in Fresno and was surprised to see one close to home. I got the 6" cold roast beef on sourdough. My husband got a 8" hot pastrami on wheat. My sandwich was pretty good I love that they have fresh mozzarella and the fresh baked sourdough was really good. My husband said his sandwich was ok. Sourdough and Co is great! It has the feel of a local place even though it is a franchise. The menu consists of around 16 sandwiches, several daily soups (clam chowder is always available) and delicious salads. There's something for everyone here. Prices are just right for the serving size. If you have huge appetites or a large family it may get a little pricey. My kids had a French dip, chili and clam chowder and wolfed their food down. I had the Turkey pesto and the flavor was great. Their breads are baked fresh and you can buy a whole loaf of sourdough bread while daily supplies last. My wife found this place on Yelp while we were shopping in Atwater. We saw the reviews and the pictures and thought we'd try it out. I had an Italian sandwich on their sourdough and my wife went with the Cobb salad. My sandwich was very good. I'm a fan of Ike's Sandwiches but this was a solid second.
