All the flavors, textures, spices. My god I love this place. This is like the infinity gauntlet of Mediterranean food. Took Subway, Chipotle, Jersey Mikes, Togos, Poke Bowls, etc and made this food demi-god! The lady who took our order was amazing, she was patient and thoughtful she let us try samples and she knew exactly how to fill up the bowls, 100% customer satisfaction and excellent service experience. Interior has Stan State banners, is clean and well kept. Food stations are sanitary and polished. Definitely a classy little joint with amazing food. Girl was nice helping but it took 25 minutes to get my food. Couscous was dry and the meats but she did make the shawarma fresh. I thought they only had what was out there for the salads so I got spinich and kale and then she brought out green salad for others hmm . Underwhelming at best. I'm not likely to be a repeat customer. Lemon Chicken didn't taste fresh, Beef and Lamb was burned. It's a little irritating that they upsell customers for certain toppings. Stopped by Hummus Republic on Father's Day as a first-timer and really enjoyed it! If you've ever been to Cava, this is just like that... Chipotle with a Mediterranean takeover. The inside is spacious and airy with lots of wood accents. You basically go down the cafeteria line and let the worker know what you want. I ordered: - Bowl with couscous, spinach, chicken shawarma, and all the fixings - this bowl is HUGE by the way. Easily fed me for 3 separate meals. The amount of protein is just enough and I highly recommend the zesty feta and harissa hummus spreads - Street style sweet potato fries - this could have been a skip for me, but it comes with about 10 pieces of waffle-cut sweet potato fries over a bed of kale. It is then topped with sauces of your choice and some other fried toppings (eggplant, Kalamata olives, jalapenos) - Tahini shake - I wish I drank this fresh, but it melted on the way home. It still tasted really good, with hints of date and sesame. I couldn't really taste chocolate though, but it only made me think I was being healthy LOL Service was pretty good. Maybe it was just me, but I did have to repeat myself multiple times while making my order as the worker couldn't hear me. I did feel like I had to lean in extra and project my voice more than usual just to get the worker to understand me. It wasn't like there was any loud music playing either, so that was strange. Got the bowl. And it was tasty. Issue is that gyro meat is a few extra dollars and I had maybe two tablespoons of it. And the grilled onion and jalapeño were missing. Ready as promised for pick up. I agree not the friendliest workers. I don't care about friendly workers for pick up. If waitress service it would be an issue. Place is empty would be awkward to eat in-house. Solid healthy faire. Everything was fresh and staff was helpful in suggesting sauces etc. Fried Pita chips are more like toasted pita and retain a soft chewy middle that makes them a must have. Interior space is nice and roomy but the staff mentioned it gets busy. Hopefully this place does well because Turlock definitely needs this kind of fresh option with middle-eastern inspired grub. I have a love/hate feeling with this place. Upon walking in, the interior is nice and clean. But the customer service is honestly lacking. No greeting upon entering the store or walking up to order. And they don't ask if you've been there before. They just stare at you until you tell them what you want to order. The meat can be quite dry sometimes. I can't tell if it's from overcooking it when they prepared it, or if it's due to the fact that it's been sitting in the warmers for some time. Luckily the seasoning and sauces help the meat when it's in the drier side. Another note concerning the food, the fried food seems to cost extra. However, I have been coming here for some time and they've never charged me. Then all of a sudden I came here to order food this week, and when I asked for fried onions, the gentleman working whisper tho the employee making my food " that's extra". But neither of them mentioned it to my face. How bizarre. They simply could've said something along the lines of " the fried toppings do cost extra, but would you like any?" The cost of the food is decent for the area, but sometimes it feels as if they are skimping on the portions. The flavor is on point about 7/10 times. I recommend to not be shy which the sauces as it definitely adds more flavor to the dish. Overall I would recommend giving this place a try and seeing how you like it. The pita bread was good overall, but a bit too doughy for my liking. One of us had a chicken pita and the other a beef pita. The chicken was seasoned well as was the beef. This place is setup 'Chipotle/Subway' style..you go through the line and select items. Both the chicken and beef were cold and didn't look freshly made. The garbanzo beans they use had no-taste either. Their spicy hummus was good though. I won't be back as I believe there are better options. read more

One of the best restaurants I have ever been. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. We came in for vegan options and they knew what to recommend or steer clear of (dairy/meat/etc) and the hospitality was so sweet. The inside is pretty large, with multiple seating areas and big windows with natural lighting. They also have a bathroom as well. We both got hummus bowls with a side of pita chips with za'atar seasoning and hummus. My friend got a non vegan bowl, with rice as the base and lemon chicken and mushroom shawarma and different toppings. They loved their bowl! The food was so delicious I keep thinking about it! The quantity and price were great as well as quality. I'm vegan and I got couscous base with falafel and mushroom shawarma and different toppings. They even have multiple vegan sauces!
