Best Middle eastern food around! The owner is a Chef from Iraq with flavor you can taste from across the word.

Worth the wait - absolutely fantastic food…read more Stopped by Super Gyro for lunch and was seriously impressed. My friend ordered the Beef Kabob (New York) plate with rice and salad, and it was fantastic. Tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I even "borrowed" a chunk of beef from my friend for a taste test--no regrets. It was spot on. The Gyro sandwich was another big winner. It was loaded with meat--honestly, the amount you'd normally have to ask for double meat at other places. The meat had a nice crispy edge, and the lamb was seasoned perfectly. So good. The owner was a one-man show, hustling hard during a busy lunch rush, juggling takeout orders like a pro. Despite being slammed, he was incredibly kind and made sure everyone was taken care of. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. I also loved the unassuming storefront and the décor inside--lots of pride shown for our country and local law enforcement, with flags and service patches displayed throughout. It gave the place real character. Yes, we had to wait--but it was absolutely worth it. I can see exactly why this spot has such a strong Yelp rating. Bonus points for the solid daily specials too. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

I was excited when I found The Bussdown on Instagram last year and have been waiting in anticipation to try their food ever since. I noticed they started posting on their feed again and was excited when they announced that they'd be open from 2pm-7pm. I attempted to call in my order but had no response. Determined to try it, I drove to their site and saw they were still taking orders, so I got in line. When it was my turn to be helped, I was informed their fryers were down. They had other options, so I ordered the brisket, candied yams, + mac and cheese, and for dessert, caramel biscoff banana pudding. The total came out to $31. The lady that took my order said it would take about 20 minutes. 40 minutes later she informed me that they were just finishing up with my order, but they ran out of caramel for the dessert. When I finally got the food 5 minutes later, I took it to my car and gave it a try. I was disappointed off the bat. Apart from the food being lukewarm/on the colder end, I felt like the price I paid was not worth what I got. The Mac and cheese was not like anything I've tried before. It tasted like it had gorgonzola cheese which was not what i had expected/enjoyed. I thought the yams were tasty but lacking a punch. The brisket was tender but either needed to be seasoned a bit more or have more bbq sauce. The biscoff banana pudding was primarily Bananas, whipped cream, biscoff cookie and butter with a little bit of banana pudding. I really wanted to like the food but was disappointed with the whole experience.
