When we first went to Sunlight we did not know the menu or anything about it. We went there to try and we ordered rice, naan and butter chicken, tandoori chicken, chili paneer,Amritsari kulcha and mango lassi, it was delicious and I will definitely buy it again. But the reason I rated four stars was because of the bathrooms and the time they take to cook the food. The bathrooms very small and had very less space. Also we had to wait for 30 minutes for one dish that the only downside, but overall Sunlight is a very nice restaurant and the food is amazing you should definitely try it. read more

I realize the owners have changed hands yet again. This experience was alright, it could have been better. First of all, there were no other customers in the restaurant upon arrival. Host/waiter asked us to sit down where we would like. However, even though it was empty, it took him a good 15-20 minutes to bring us a menu once we sat down. The entrées were decent, however the Naan appeared to be store bought, not freshly made. We enjoyed our veggie samosas, orders of chicken tikka masala (medium and spicy), and rice. When it was time to pay, things became a little odd. We were using a credit card, and our waiter popped up front to tell us that they don't receive the tip if we leave it on the card, and instructed us to leave cash on the table. We almost always leave a cash tip for our servers anyway, but will choose to hand it to them, and not leave it on the table where it might "walk off" with someone else. So, I asked two different employees to ask our waiter to come up so I could give him his tip. He refused, even though they asked him multiple times. It was strange in my opinion. Below is a review I thought I had already posted from our previous experiences. This was my last review, it was unpublished: The last few times we went were a miss for us. The food is still wonderful, pretty much the best in the area (taste wise). However, we have not gone as often as we would like for several reasons. 1. They used to include the rice with an entrée if it was for dine in only. We realized that early on when we would dine and also have food to go. They charged us for the to-go rice. Now, they don't include rice at all, it is an extra charge. So, the price of the whole meal goes up. 2. The last few times they were very slow to bring the food. 3. When it was hot outside, they did not have the A/C on or if it was on it wasn't very cool inside. read more

Definitely must have new ownership. After getting food here for last years and it being amazing, this time is was awful and VERY BLAND with no flavor or spices at all. Butter Chicken was watery, could have been Soup and the White Rice was just that. Garlic Naan was decent however all pieces were burt. Time to go elsewhere. My family and I stopped by for the first time on Mother's Day. I was quite skeptical initially due to some deterring reviews. The place is cute, the service is nice. The lady who served us was quite kind as well. We ordered chicken tikka masala, buttered chicken, chicken biryani, aloo tikki chaat, samosas, mango lassi, garlic naan, and some yogurt on the side. They were all very delicious, my whole family was full. My parents can be quite iffy when trying new food but they loved it. My parents were fans of the biryani, and my sister loved the aloo tikki. The food was very good and the mango lassi was excellent. The service was superb and very patient with me as I needed time to decide between all of their delicious sounding (tasting) dishes. They uncharged me and my aunt and tried to keep us In inside the building to pay when we said that we couldn't afford, because they added an extra meal. They kept making excuses saying how the food was already made but when we paid they took an extra 10 min to "pack" the food so I wouldn't recommend this place they will up charge. And maybe sneak an extra meal into your order to make it more expensive for no reason. read more
